Jesse Jackson The Parasite
Here is a well written story to cuts right to the point. Jackson is essentially a communist at heart who wants to end up on the ruling class making decisions for you however he decides.
He seems to think free speech is only something that certain people are entitled to and that his enemies do not get to have fre spech (ala castro). You can read about his love for Fidel here and see photos of him hugging and embracing the newest communist dictator Hugo Chavez in our related post about how Jackson and Sharpton exploit their own race. Jackson will hug anything that gives him a paycheck and gets him on TV.
Peter Flaherty, president of the National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC), today made the following statement about the Imus controversy:
“CBS should fire Don Imus for two reasons. First, there is a double standard. If Imus were a conservative, he would have been fired the same day he made his ‘nappy headed hoes’ comments. Secondly, Imus compounded his original error by going on Al Sharpton’s radio show. To pay homage to Sharpton is to reinforce another double standard, namely that racism by whites is intolerable while racism by blacks is not.
“This double standard is also reinforced by NBC and other media outlets that have given Jesse Jackson such a large platform on this issue. Jackson is a bad actor, whose goal is not to advance civil rights but to xacerbate tensions for the purpose of shaking down corporate America for himself and his organizations. By and large, Rainbow/PUSH and Jackson’s other groups are not supported financially by African-Americans, but by corporate America.”
NLPC sponsored a shareholder proposal at the Goldman Sachs annual meeting critical of the company’s support for Jackson. In his remarks at the meeting on March 27, Flaherty stated, “Last April, the Duke rape case grabbed headlines, and soon after Jackson was on the scene. He dismissed suggestions that the accused lacrosse players were entitled to a presumption of innocence, and announced that the Rainbow/PUSH coalition would provide a college scholarship to the accuser. Of course, the stripper’s allegations have fallen apart.”
NLPC is sponsoring similar resolutions this spring with Boeing, GE, PepsiCo, and Verizon. In 2005, the New York Stock Exchange ended support for Jesse Jackson’s organizations in apparent response to NLPC’s requests.
NLPC has filed two complaints with the Federal Election Commission against Sharpton for campaign finance improprieties. The first, filed in 2003, resulted in a $5,500 fine. The second, filed in 2004, resulted in Sharpton having to pay back $100,000 in federal matching funds received or
his presidential race.
NLPC promotes ethics in public life, and sponsors the Corporate Integrity Project.
