When you put your own wants, personal interest wants, race based wants first. This is when you are selfish. This is the opposite of the melting pot the US once was, and the seperationism that groups like El Pueblo want to make us into.

From Northcarolinaconservative.com:

“Last week I had the pleasure of appearing on the Mike Collins show to talk about why ALIPAC opposes El Pueblo’s plans to lobby the NC legislature for drivers licenses and other benefits for illegal aliens. Bill Gheen of ALIPAC (Americans for LEGAL Immigration – see www.alipac.us ) was invited to appear, but he couldn’t make it to Charlotte and asked me to fill in for him.

…….El Pueblo claims to be a charity, a 501(c)(3) organization, but they are heavily engaged in lobbying.

…..The IRS guidelines for claiming 501(c)(3) status are very clear:
“To be tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, an organization must be organized and operated exclusively for purposes set forth in section 501(c)(3), and none of its earnings may inure to any private shareholder or individual. In addition, it may not attempt to influence legislation as a substantial part of its activities and it may not participate in any campaign activity for or against political candidates.”…….

“An organization will be regarded as attempting to influence legislation if it contacts, or urges the public to contact, members or employees of a legislative body for the purpose of proposing, supporting, or opposing legislation, or if the organization advocates the adoption or rejection of legislation.”………….

Yet a March 28, 2007, article in The Charlotte Observer made El Pueblo’s lobbying a matter of public record:

“Latino advocates say they’ll start lobbying N.C. legislators for driver’s licenses, in-state tuition and wage enforcement for those who are undocumented, likely heating up the illegal immigration debate. ”

The interesting part here is to call them Latino Advocates. My family is latino, but first they are Americans. They understand that criminal aliens from all countries that come here illegally are criminals against American laws. My family of true latino immigrants understands that Criminal immigrants that are from all countries deserve no handouts from the country that they violate.

This quote shows the racism of the advocates at El Pueblo, trying to make their cause a race issue. The cause they are against is enforcing a law which has no race. They fight, when they should be embarassed that such a large percentage of the law breakers are those they defend.

Immigration means all countries, but advocates like El Pueblo want only for their own.

Does this make any sense? If illegal aliens cannot legally hold a job, why do they need state help to make it easier to break the law? And to suggest that taxpayers should pay for selective law enforcement is even more bizarre. How could a government agent be asked to enforce wage and hour laws while ignoring the fact that the employment is illegal?

As I stated in an earlier article covering this kind of “selective activism”, which could also be caled seperationism, or be called racism, this type of organization advances their own wants over the good of all of America, which in itself is destructive to the country as a whole.

Rights for criminal aliens? And you are criminals, you do break the law .

At one time, El Pueblo’s web site even stated that they were the east coast affiliate of La Raza. El Pueblo no longer seems eager to claim that connection, but the National Council of La Raza lists local affiliates on their web site and this is what they say about El Pueblo:

El Pueblo, Inc. is a North Carolina statewide Latino advocacy and public policy organization, with programs and activities in advocacy, lobbying, culture (including La Fiesta del Pueblo, the region’s largest Latin American annual festival), civic participation, leadership (including annual Latino Issues Forum), youth, health, public safety, and education.

Note that the first two activities listed for El Pueblo are advocacy and lobbying. You don’t have to take ALIPAC’s word on whether El Pueblo is an advocacy and lobbying organization.

La Raza itself puts those activities first in describing El Pueblo activities.
