Why Republicans Wont Surrender
So I heard a nice interview the other day on WBT. The discussion was a study in the history of modern warfare and the statictics of injured in battle as compared to deaths.
As you would expect there are about 3 injuries to every death. This is partly attributed to the fact that medical facilities are not targetted for humanitarian and mental warfare reasons.
The point of the dicussion is that the goal of war is not simply to kill other people.
Kill the enemy and break their stuff is one view, but it is not wholy correct. If this was the sole goal then hospital bombing would be very effective in causing injuries to lead to more deaths.
The fact is that the goal of war is to break the will of your opponant through whatever means to cause them to surrender to your pre-battle goals and demands. The goal is to weaken or eliminate your enemies presence and power while consolidating your own.
And in more recent years it seems the goal has become to break the will of the taxpayers and hippie protestors.
It is often said that the victory in WW2 and the use of the Atomic bomb was brutal and inhumane in this approach, but the counter argument is that a land assault would have caused 700K deaths while the atomic bomb caused only 200K+, so a net preservation of life.
The more important aspect to this line of thinking is that it provided an instant breaking of wills of the people of Japan and that is the true goal in battle.
For this reason, and in this logic, setting a troop date for pullout is simply admitting defeat. You have told your opponant that your will if officially broken, and this constitutes defeat.
This says we will not fight beyond this day, and thusly provides a lame-duck period in the months leading up to this day. No soldier is ready to sacrifice all 3 days before his guarenteeed ticket home, and no enemy will be afraid of a person on his way out.
The goal from the start for the murderers that call themselves the enemy of the US troops was simple to cause horrible televised murder so we would want to leave this place.
Every bombing has targeted innocent arabs and innocent honest muslims and murdered them in there homes and shopping centers. All of these murders by our enemy paid for by Iranian money and carried out by brainwashed killers that have little intent to “defend their homeland”.
This defense of their nation claim does not connect with bombing women and children while they walk the streets.
The goal of this sort of murder is to make a reputation as bloody killers and thusly make an organized force like our wish to leave in disgust and not fear.
So to leave is to lose, to leave is to have you will broken, to leave is to admit you are afraid to confront murderers in the street.
Perhaps the world will someday take a closer look at the true murderers and they will learn about the misinformation they are fed about who is killing who where. The world lines up to blame the US for every person who dies anywhere of anything, but perhaps we can get a few middle eastern leaders to ask questions and demand answers for these.
22 Shites Dead - Not by american bullets.
120 Dead Muslims - By Other muslims
30 Children Dead While American Troops were handing out gifts and food.
125 Dead Shites - Not By Americans
Whats the point? the hypocrisy is the point.
I hope the world will someday see the slant they place on our troops and the disrespect they do us. We waste time money and resource putting our own boys on trial and our enemy honors and heralds those that drive bombs into crowded markets of their own people.
I know that the clarity of our intentions and the vision to see the evil that kills its own people for the publicity is why the Republicans will not walk away in defeat. While our goals may be skewed and we may not be overly welcome, we will not hand victory to those that kill children in the streets.
I will add a sidenote here as I have been in touch recently with a local Islamic leader here in Charlotte. I contacted him to help enlighten our readers if he cares to. He can bring a fuller true perspective from his point of view as an American.
While I do not always agree with his personal beliefs I do respect his right to have them as much as I do mine.
I also respect his point that throughout history US media and world perspective has demonized group after group for the actions of a few. Being a German-American I can understand this perspective.
I therefore do point out that the action in the above links are the acts of a tiny minority that act on their own and without honor. I am sure the actions of those above have damaged and hindered the reputations and pursuits of honorable Muslims around the world.
