Missing Soldiers Found
The remains of the soldiers Pfc. Kristian Menchaca, 23, of Houston and Pfc. Thomas L. Tucker, 25, of Madras, Ore. were recovered near a power plant in the town of Yusufiya, where they had been operating a vehicle checkpoint that came under attack Friday, Maj. Gen. William B. Caldwell said in a briefing for reporters. A third soldier, Spec. David J. Babineau, 25, of Springfield, Mass., died in the initial assault.
From Reuters:
Thousands of U.S. and Iraqi troops have been scouring farmlands through an area south of Baghdad known as the “Triangle of Death” since an ambush on May 12 in which four U.S soldiers and an Iraqi interpreter were killed.
Three soldiers were reported missing after the attack. The al Qaeda-led Islamic State in Iraq has said it abducted them but has given no proof that they are still alive.
A police officer in Mussayab, 60 km (40 miles) south of Baghdad, who declined to be named, said the body had been found after a tip-off from residents.
A river patrol police officer in Mussayab who said he helped recover the body said the man appeared to have been killed about a week ago. His head showed signs of torture.”
Please MR. Bush, torture the next enemy captured. Please Mr. Bush send the video to Al Jazeer for airing on television.
Why do we cloth and feed our captives while they murder theirs and air it on television so the weak US congress will lap it up like dogs.
Getting weaker is not the solution to this problem, demonstrating what a first world arsenal can do to a countryside is. Exterminate this enemy like the ‘roaches in holes’ they have shown us they are.
I for one dont feel weak in the desire for war, I feel weak in the ongoing bumbling of the goal of war. Kill your enemy and break their stuff, thats the basic goal of war. Let them put it on TV and spin it however they want, just make sure nobody that supports the enemy is alive to see it air.
How is it we fight in a war and “we put rules on ourselves” that our enemy laughs at, and “counts on” as our biggest weakness?
If the San Antonio Spurs played against a high school basketball team, and only the spurs had to play by the rules…..even they would lose. Our greatest enemy is our leadership and the shameful legislators who dont understand the concept of war.
When one side is doing what we consider cheating because of ethics of war our enemy laugh at us, and we will lose by our own hand.
Torture in Guantanamo? great, super,… whatever it takes. When did war become a 5 year legal proceeding where you need to ask permission to Nancy Pelosi before you can fire your gun?
We in the US have the greatest armed forces on the planet, but unfortunately we have the most spineless government to make decisions on their behalf.
So for the last time, will someone please just do WHATEVER it takes to make our enemies die, through whatever means and in whatever fashion.
