I read this letter to the editor in the opinion section of todays Observer (June 23, 2007), and I have to award it the 5 stars of stupidity badge. MS. Lana H. Davidson From Taylorsville is apparently not only ignorant and insensitive but also apparently a man-hater as well.

This is at least the opinion I personally got when I read her letter to the editor about the Duke rape case.

Perhaps someday she will have a son and his name and reputation will be destroyed publically. Then perhaps some idiot like her will come along and add insult to this and say shes a bad parent, while her son has being victimized.

Youll notice how every person with a penis is to blame and all strippers and mothers are just their victims.

In response to “Bill passes to remove Nifong” (June 20): Now that Mike Nifong has publicly apologized for bringing charges against the three Duke lacrosse players, can we have an apology from all those at the party? Had it not been for their perverted behavior, this whole thing would not have happened.

And will the fathers of the players apologize for having failed to raise them to respect females? Or will they continue to excuse porn dancing (don’t call it exotic!) by treating it as a male rite of passage?

Unless they apologize now and renounce their lingering misperceptions, these students will carry them into their friendships and marriages and never understand the correlation to their unfulfilling marriages.

You’ll notice she tips her hand and shows her ignorance when she only blames the fathers for lack of parenting. She also gleemed over the Mother of the stripper, who is the one selling the service for money.

No mention of bad parenting when you daughter is a stripper and a liar, but your a bad parent when you son attends a top university and hires one?

This sentence is the general concept this letter to the editor was conveying. Also the message seemed to imply that these boys hiring a stripper was the same as NiFong lying and cheating in court to wrongly convict students of rape.

I think the lack of understanding the difference in magnitude was my main issue with this babble.

Secondly, it seems that every women connected to this story bares no guilt whatsoever and is the victim of evil men?
(NiFong, the boys charged and their fathers are blamed in 10 sentences, nobody else.)

Just so Lana H. Davidson can get a sense of decency and common sense, I will remind her of who broke laws and who did nothing illegal or against their own personal private ethics.

The stripper-liar and Mike NiFong both broke laws and at the same time tried to manipulate the system to be rewarded for it.

Hey where is her apology? You never mention that.

You just wont be happy till you find a way to make it the fault of the rich white kids?

The three students lost the entire season, school year, freedom, dignity and personal privacy while breaking no law.

Lana H. Davidson your are the idiot of the week for your tasteless comment about the victimized students and the parents that you know nothing about.

I wonder if you have parented you children well enough for them to be Duke (Now Brown University) students?

This explains alot, found that Lana Davidson writes comments to the editors in many places online. Here she is again confirming that she is a Liveral Democrat, which goes well with her thinking the white college students must be to blame even after the court revealed the stripper was the liar and the criminal.

This is her post from the Hickory Daily Record stating her affiliation as a Liberal Democrat:

“I heard many Democrats in the Fifth District say they could not get coverage by the Journal.I had been of the same opinion concerning the Hickory Daily Record. Your paper is notorious for ignoring all the the things of the Democratic Party.”

Looks like one of our readers contacted the Charlotte Observer to challenge Lana on her selective male bashing in the Duke rape case

One lesson (right or wrong; say whatever you will) that these boys have learned is to avoid at all costs any dealings with blacks and “sex workers”. (whether they will ever publically admit it is another matter–but you can take it to the bank that it is true.

I hope they are better than those accusing them and dont see color as an issue moving forward. They should be better than that and blame people and not colors.

Now if we could try and teach scum like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton to do the same, we may get somewhere.

It was also sarcasm. I cant believe this woman is still looking for a way to blame these kids and their parents.

I have no moral issue with this girl being a stripper, thats her personal choice, but this editorial finding fault in men who hire one to compare it to the criminal acts of NiFong?

Then completely ignoring the other person here who lied in court to convict these kids.

My sarcasm is at the selective comdemning of the victims here.

I dont see these comments in line with NiFongs crimes,..legal moral and business ethical.
