A Great Day For America!
By Earl Birmingham

Thursday, June 28th, 2007 will probably not go down in the history books as a particularly significant day. At least not in the history books of the liberal public school system. But in my lifetime, I cannot remember a greater day for our country.

Firstly, a grassroots movement among the majority of Americans rose up and defeated an immigration bill in the face of arrogant and tyrannical pressure from their own government.
Secondly, our Supreme Court ruled against the use of race based initiatives in our public schools.

Thirdly, our House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly to deny funding to the pathetic and communistic temper tantrum of the liberal Democrats known as the “Fairness Doctrine”.
What does all this mean for our country? Plenty, and for the first time in years conservative Americans, common sense Americans, can see a beautiful beam of light at the end of the tunnel.

The defeat of the Kennedy-McCain “Amnesty” Bill today in the United States Senate was a major victory today for Americans and for democratic government. The problem of illegal immigration and invasion still exists, but at least now we know it will not be officially sponsored by our own government! We need to keep pushing to make our current leaders continue to follow the will of the people. If they don’t, we need to change that leadership at the ballot box. No matter what some politicians may say, everyone knows what the American people want. And in the process, we have learned who the true betrayers, the true robber barons, and the true racists are.

Edwards loves the poor so much he employs themLiberals are a sick, elitist and arrogant group of people. Those who disagree with them are labeled racists. They are called ignorant, stupid, redneck, cracker, white trash. They are accused of caring only for themselves and those like themselves, and of attempting to crush dissent and silence opposite views. But the sheep’s clothing is finally starting to slip off the wolf, and Liberals are being seen for what they are and what they truly consist of: selfishness and hypocrisy. A desperate and odd alliance of Liberal politicians with the Bush administration over the immigration bill was trasparently cloaked in the liberal veil of humane treatment and love for all. It was really a grab for votes and power because they know that the majority of hard working Americans will not vote for them once they are aware of what liberals truly believe in. They depend utterly upon racial voting blocks. They realize that Blacks alone cannot carry them to dominance, so they wished to completely change the demographics and culture of this country by allowing mass Hispanic invasion and creating yet another large racial block of “disadvantaged” people dependant upon Democratic programs. That is obviously not in the best interests of Hispanic migrants.

Their racism is again revealed in their outrage over the decision of our Supreme Court to strike down the ridiculous practice of using race to classify and manage students in our public schools. If it is so evil to use race as a label in any decision, why does this not apply? Displacing or categorizing people based on race or color is the mantra of Stalinists and Nazis. And apparently, liberal Democrats. Again, their mind blowing hypocrisy rears it’s ugly head.
Their support of the Fairness Doctrine is a frightening vision into their desired future. It fits right in with their hypocritical support of such dictators as Hugo Chavez (loved by the likes of Danny Glover and Harry Belafonte) and Fidel Castro (who is apparently a hero of Michael Moore’s). And how many of us remember “Baghdad Bob”? I suppose he was Saddam Hussein’s (and our media’s) version of the Iraqi Fairness Doctrine. The so-called “Fairness Doctrine” reminds me of two little children. One child does his chores and thus earns his allowance. The other child does not work, does not receive his allowance, and yets whines that “it’s not fair!” If anyone wanted to hear their Liberal tripe, they would listen to it. But the majority of the public finds their views nauseating, non-sensical and outlandish. In a free market and democratic society, distasteful products do not succeed and fall into obscurity. That is why we do not see Brussel Sprout soda sitting next to Coca Cola on the grocery store shelf.

Liberal Democrats are nothing more than socialist, big-government, wannabe dictators who disguise themselves and their programs as the opposite of what they truly are. Perhaps they should suggest to Senor Chavez that he should call his recent purging of pro-freedom, anti-Chavez TV and radio stations as the Venezuelen Fairness Doctrine. Oh, if only it wasn’t for that darned Constitution and Bill of Rights. Maybe then the libs could have the kind of control here that Chavez does in Venezuela, and finally stamp out any views that vary from their own.
Rejoice in the fresh breath of air that has blown across our country this day, June 28th, in the Year of our Lord 2007.

I suspect we may find that the best is yet to come.
