Senator Demint, the senator that actual does represent the people of South Carolina is asking for your feedback on his personal website.

Unlike Lindsey Graham, Jim Demint actually want to know what the people in South Carolina think, and will work to serve the people of his state.

Our readers should share their opinion with a senator like Jim who appears to be listening.

From Washington Times:
Sen. Jim DeMint, South Carolina Republican, said he will block any attempt to send the bill to an eventual House-Senate conference, complicating the usual path a bill takes to reach the president’s desk.
“Ted Kennedy has sold us another bill of goods and I don’t trust him to make even more changes to it behind closed doors in a conference with the House,” Mr. DeMint said, referring to the Massachusetts Democrat who has spearheaded the bill along with Sen. Jon Kyl, Arizona Republican.

From Jim’s Site:
Jim is a true conservative who believes in the principles of limited government, a strong national defense and traditional family values. He has worked tirelessly in Congress to secure America’s future by returning dollars, decisions and freedoms back to South Carolina families. Jim has earned the “Friend of the Taxpayer” award from Americans for Tax Reform, the “Spirit of Enterprise” award from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and an “A” rating from the National Rifle Association. As a dedicated father of four, Jim is also a leader on family issues. He has earned a 100% rating from the Family Research Council, and is a member of the “Adoption Hall of Fame” for his successful work in promoting adoption.

kUDOS to Jim Demint for representing the people of South Carolina as well as all Americans. I am totally opposed to any bill that hints at amnesty, compromises our national security, and rewards those who have broken our laws.

For us to sign on to this current Immigration Bill, we would have to ignore all our laws that deal with people coming into or staying in our country without the proper paperwork or authorization (in other words we would be sanctioning breaking the law). I am ashamed that I voted to put George Bush in office for a second term (not to mention voting him in for his first term). What a back stabber he turned out to be— accusing his own base of being racists for wanting to uphold the law regarding illegal immigrants in our country. I will still look for a decent republican to vote for in 2008 (the alternative is far, far worse)…or is it???
