Mygrito.com Forgot One Guy
Well someone spammed my comments with this link to Mygrito.com, which is a myspace spinoff. They commented on how the candidates could use it as an outlet to latino voters.
It wasnt really “spam” as they did offer related messages and content on their linked site, so Ill call it a “contributed link reference”.
I will even give them a free link here www.mygrito.com/candidatos to show you the page that is special for candidates.
While I do see the sense in using all sources of reach for a candidate, I would hope American voters of hispanic decent use the same media sources as the rest of us.
I would hapope candidates used an outlet like this to get “more” exposure, but I would not support a candidate that transalated his message to have it stated in Spanish.
Remember I am bilingual, but this is not a message that a president should put forth in his campaign.
If the candidate speaks spanish, perhaps like Jeb Bush who speaks flawless spanish, then HE SHOULD be out there in two languages using his talents to reach voters. I do think though a candidate that does it just to seem “supportive” is pandering.
I then noticed something WAS MISSING?
Hey where is Tom Tancredo? Tom is perhaps 5th or 6th in overall popularity and isnt represented here on Mygrito.com?
Perhaps just an accident, but seems that this unbiasd outlet for candidates for the presidency of the United States didnt feel Tom Tancredo’s face should be on their site.
Perhaps Tom’s face was there previously, and Mygrito users kept “closing the explorer window and scattering” at the site of his face?
I am willing to give this media outlet a link, but I think they lost some face with me by leaving out the one candidate that would have really proven their unbiased source of exposure.

Thank you for letting us know about Tom Tancredo. We’re sure the list will continue to change as new people declare they’re running for president and perhaps others will quit. The race is long. Lots will change in both the Presidential race and in Tu Grito 2008.

De nada y gracias por responde aqui.
If my written spanish is bad I aplogize, I only speak it having learned by social immersion and never having had to write it, this is why I dont blog or write articles en espanol, as I only speak it aloud.
I thought it more ‘comical’ that he wasnt there, than intentional. Your site seems prety well used and hopefully the web savy candidates like Ron paul will use it to spread his word to everyone that can vote.
Best regards,
Mike
it would go a long way in quelling my doubts of their sincerity, if these “immigrants”, who supposedly love the u.s. so much, would work as hard in learning english as they had in sneaking into my country.
I agree, but Mygrito is Puerto Rican member strong as well, which is as American as you and I. But assimilation of the illegals would make American feel more apt to want to help them.
