Ron Paul Left Out
Its good enough for this guy but not for Iowa?
Iowans for Tax Relief and Iowa Christian Alliance will host a presidential candidates forum on Saturday, June 30th in Des Moines. Republican presidential candidates Mitt Romney, Sam Brownback, Jim Gilmore, Mike Huckabee, Tommy Thompson, and Tom Tancredo will participate.
Ron Paul, however, will not participate. Why? Because he wasn’t invited.
We heard about this forum from numerous supporters in Iowa who asked why Dr. Paul was not going to participate. Those supporters assumed that Dr. Paul was invited.
The campaign office had not received an invitation so we called this morning; thinking we might have misplaced the invitation or simply overlooked it. Lew Moore, our campaign manager, called Mr. Edward Failor, an officer of Iowans for Tax Relief, to ask about it. To our shock, Mr. Failor told us Dr. Paul was not invited; he was not going to be invited; and he would not be allowed to participate. And when asked why, Mr. Failor refused to explain. The call ended.
Lew then called Mr. Steve Scheffler, president of the Iowa Christian Alliance, to talk with him. Mr. Scheffler did not answer so Lew left a message. He has yet to respond.
Why are the Iowans for Tax Relief and the Iowa Christian Alliance excluding the one Republican candidate who scored at the top of every online poll taken after the MSNBC, Fox News, and CNN debates? Why are they denying Iowans the opportunity to hear from the Republican presidential candidate whose popularity is growing by the day?
Reagan listened to Ron Paul, so why won’t America today?
We couldn’t get answers to these questions from Messrs. Failor and Scheffler. Maybe you’ll have better luck. Their contact information is below.
It’s ironic that on the same day we learned the Iowans for Tax Relief and the Iowa Christian Alliance excluded Dr. Paul from their candidates forum, we received a call from ABC News confirming Dr. Paul’s participation in its nationally broadcast August 5th debate to be held in Des Moines.

All the other candidates said they would not participate if Ron Paul was included because everyone is afraid that Ron Paul will tell them that the IRS is not allowed to tax private sector worlders and that the Federal Reserve is a private bank. Politicians are expected to lie and say that these entities are constitutional but they cannot lie is someone is there to call them on it. Ron Paul will call them on it.
You can get a hold of the people you want to if you use zabasearch.com. I spoke with Ed Failor senior (79 y.o.) He was really nice, maybe he can talk some sense into his son and get the invitation out.
Um people! Be nice when you call and write. Otherwise, like the guy on TownHall, your nasty letters will be the subject of their attention and make people think that’s all of us.
Ron will be in the August 5th debates and that’s all that really counts.
Turns out that Ed Failor, Jr., the executive VP of Iowans for Tax Relief, is a Senior Advisor on the McCain campaign.
Obviously he cares less about providing tax relief for Iowans than he does about shilling for McCain.
Coldwell Banker is sponsoring this unfair debate. I suggest everyone picket Coldwell Banker offices in their hometown as Sposoring Censureship and an UnAmerican attack on our political system.
Actually, I don’t agree will much of this.
The organizations can invite whomever they want to their forum. Refraining from inviting somebody is not censorship.
I think it appropriate to express a disappointment. I think it is OK to point out to members of these organizations that the officers of the organizations might not be serving them well, but this should be done in a helpful way, not as an attack on the organizations. I think it is good to encourage members who want to have a good forum to do what they need to to convince officers.
If the forum is public, then it is appropriate of the people of Iowa to say that the organizations are not serving the greater community well.
Look at how Ron Paul treats people. That is a good model.
BUSTED! ED FAILOR, WHO EXCLUDED RON PAUL FROM THE IOWANS FOR TAX RELIEF DEBATE, WORKS FOR JOHN MCCAIN CAMPAIGN AS SENIOR ADVISOR!
In addition, he’s a financial supporter of McCain:

This is old news now; Ed “Failure” was on the radio, talking with Kent, Dr. Paul’s rep, on the radio. Ed was clearly flustered and stuck to his flimsy story. The radio host and Kent saw through the flim-flam and let him know it.
Stricken, Ed whined that Ron Paul supporters had called him at home, at night no less, and were quite abusive. Well Ed, the democratic process is not always pretty, and if you got some blowback, then you had it coming.
I think those who called might set their sights on McCain, since I strongly believe that without a nod from McCain, Ed Failure wouldn’t have omitted Ron Paul from the Iowa event. Just my intuition talking, but Ed doesn’t strike me as a guy who is on top of things, and McCain’s a bully. So there.
It was clearly a McCain thing, the guy who wants to not have his UN war foreign policy questioned, and Mr. Ed is doing his talking for him. The talk of phone calls at home and website hacking is just his way of trying to do a hatchet job on the one guy who isn’t boring on all of the debates. If McCain by some strange miracle of cash got the nomination, it would be another Bob Dole landslide for the Democrats, after all, he & they have the same record on taxes anyway.
My friends and I just listened to the very irritated Ed Failor on the radio show with Kent Snyder. He was challenged by the commentator to change the forum to allow Ron Paul since he is the #1 nations taxpayers friend and is a supporter of Christian values, with the best voting record in those regards, and is very popular. Ed said that his campaign was not legitimate, attracting the kind of fringe that made phone calls to his home phone and made terrible remarks and threats to his family, and hacked into the web sites trying to fold them! Sounds more like Guiliani’s New York wise guys than Ron Paul peaceniks. Perhaps they want to sabotage his campaign by pretending to be supporters. That is a shame. But to hear he is a McCain Campaign Senior Advisor makes a lot of sense. McCain is Neocon.
I would never call someones home to complain about a policy decision.. That said, this guy literally made a million people or so very angry.. What do you expect?
As for Ed’s story that the schedule was written in stone, it is laughable.
Ed is most definately lying….. From a Iowans for Tax Relief press release…
“Confirmed Candidate UPDATE; Congressman Hunter will be speaking in Governor Gilmore’s absence.”
The schedule was not written in stone. http://www.iowapolitics.com/index.iml?Article=98442
It is the crumbling of the foundation of the media, there is a revolution of thought occuring and they are trying to control it, but it is mounting and building.
We are not to be denied, the time has come to make religous interference in government obsolete because of there insistence on having the rightness constantly, when they label and segregate, alienate and disenfanchise the youth.
they wonder why the pews are empty, they wonder where the next generation of mindless sheep are going to come from, the answer lies in what they do.
When you banish a voice you are doing a diservice to the people and God, it is anti-christian to do as they have been doing.
Beware the wolves in sheeps clothing, I think we found some of them.
