Tucson Citizen De Mexico
The immigration system is not broken, the enforcement is broken.
We return again to the liberal rag in Tucson ironically named the Tucson Citizen.
The irony seems to be the Tucson Citizen has no regard for the value of the word Citizen.
Adding to this irony is the fact that the only citizens that share the biased views of this paper are Mexican citizens.
I would like to take a moment to teach a very simple fact to writers like Anne T Denogean who apparently dont grasp common sense concepts like laws.
1. Currently there is no enforcement, we all agree on that.
2. You and liberals say that “status quo” is the alternative to the new legislation and “immigration reform”
3. Enforcing the current laws, therefore, would not be status quo and is something you dont understand.
4. Immigration does not need reform, immigration enforcement needs reform.
5. Lastly, the lack of enforcement is not the fault of the people in the US, but is the fault of the senators who do nothing to enforce the laws THEY wrote in the past.
Now lets take a look at the laughable article you wrote to inform Americans that we are wrong and those who break are laws are right about everything.
As amnesty bill fails, a broken system prevails
ANNE T. DENOGEAN
Tucson Citizen
The anti-amnesty hardliners - those whose battle cry is “illegal is illegal” - are celebrating Thursday’s death of the immigration reform bill.
Last I checked, illegal is illegal, so lets try not to deminish the importance of enforcing laws. Illegal is illegal if i am speeding, Illegal is illegal if I dont pay taxes, and Illegal is illegal if I rob someone.
The victory they’re rejoicing is hollow, at best. Those who think “amnesty” is a dirty word should know the phrase “status quo” is downright obscene.
Here you go again pretending anyone is asking for status quo, last I checked we want the law enforced and that hasn’t been the status quo for decades.
You tell me how enforcing laws is status quo? If we are not doing it?
“It is simply incredible to me that we are going to leave it this way,” said former Arizona congressman Jim Kolbe.
If the senate would give Americans what Americans want then we could change things.
Spend the 4 billion, build the wall, enforce at the workplace and no amnesty of any sort.
If they present that bill it would pass. The senate forgets it is THEM who will not do their job and present laws AMERICANS want.
“We are going to be left exactly where we are today, with a system that everybody on both sides knows is broken, understands is broken, believes need to be fixed and we’re not going to do anything with it,” he said.
The system is not broken, the enforcement is broken. Do your jobs senators and this wouldnt be an issue.
“doing nothing was not an alternative,” Kolbe said, “but there are just too many positions all over the political arena that made it impossible to pull a consensus together.”
The try to enforce the laws, that would be a new approach.
“It’s a very sad day that this failed,” he said.
For who? 75% of the country did not want this bill to win? Too bad liberal rags like the Tucson Citizen try to spin it this way.
It is a sad day for criminal aliens perhaps, but Americans 3 to 1 wanted this outcome.
“They are so unhappy with the illegal immigration. They are so unhappy with the number of illegal immigrants. They are so unhappy with the border situation. Why in the world would they be happy that this has been defeated?” he asked.
Because it rewards illegal immigrants, in increases the number of illegal immigrants and it does nothing about the border situation that we had been promised a solution 3 times before.
“Does anybody seriously think there’s going to be a bill now that deals only with enforcement and only with worker verification? Of course not,” he said.
This would be far too simple for congres to comprehend, actually giving Americans what we want. Congress cant introduce a bill like this because it goes against big business and corporate sponsors.
You say that like its the people standing in the way of this approach? We are all waiting for the senate to propose this. It is the senate that wont introduce this bill, not Americans.
Only a liberal rag like the Tucson Citizen would write a story that blames lack of lawmaking on American’s.
Only a biased propaganda paper like the Tucson Citizen would say that the opposite of amnesty for illegals is to do nothing.
I dont totally blame the Tucson Citizen for writing such anti-american garbage since there are not too many actual Citizens left in Tucson who want to read the truth.
I guess, like congress, Anne T Denogean prefers to pander to illegal immigrants over the will of 75% of honest, legal, real Americans.

The Tuscon Citizen is only one of hundreds of newspapers that spew the same genre of open borders slime in their pages. And most of these papers are not in border states either. As a matter of fact quite a few are in North Carolina. (even in small towns)
