I hope the title of this post didn’t mix any words or hide the topic of this story?

For those who voted against any legislation to check legal status of criminals, todays story from the Observer is for you. For those criminal mayors and governors suggesting safe haven cities or allowing illegals to flood our country, today’s story is for you as well.

Bills like the illegal immigration amendment to the Border Protection, Antiterrorism, and Illegal Immigration Control Act of 2005 (HR 4437). Which was an ammendment to the Scott Gardener Act, also a Myrick proposal are meant to protect Americans from those criminals who break our laws and infest our streets.

Having been deported a year ago, and back already to be arrested again, we can only hope this gains a bit of national media attention to what also comes over our borders.

There are reasons we are a country of laws, and there are reasons that those who don’t respect our laws deserve no charity, no rights and no respect.

All the posing and pretending congress did for amnesty has stopped, but nothing has changed as far as the criminals like Jose C. Rivera coming over the border repeatedly.

To quote our own Sue Myrick
“You’re illegal. You’re deported. Period.”

“Authorities have charged an illegal immigrant who was about to be deported with raping three women in a series of attacks that frustrated police and left female joggers leery for nearly two years.

Jose C. Rivera, 26, was in Atlanta awaiting deportation. The rape charges, filed Friday, will stop the deportation proceedings.

Rivera is accused of attacking three women between April 2004 and September 2005. Police said he talked his way into a victim’s home, attacked another outside her apartment and - wearing only red underwear - grabbed a jogger who was running alone. The attacker used a weapon in each case.

Authorities said that by October 2005, they had DNA evidence linking the attacks but couldn’t identify the attacker. It’s unclear what evidence connects Rivera to the attacks, though he was convicted of receiving a stolen vehicle last year and he would have been required to submit a DNA sample as a felon.

Rivera, who’s from Honduras, has been jailed at least eight times in Mecklenburg County since 2004, according to records. He was deported in November 2006, an Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokesman said.

Rivera faces 16 charges in the three attacks, 14 of which are felonies.”
