So I was looking through old access stats for some of the articles on this website with the webmaster when we noticed a few Spanish translation links coming from google.com.

These links open the website in a frame and translate all the contents of the page.

A pretty cool example of Google being Google and a great improvement in translation technology.

I assure anyone that doesn’t speak Spanish that this is a pretty poor translation, but it is enough to allow others to read the basic idea of the article. This means this is the version of our works that many latinos will be shown if they prefer to view in Spanish through google.

What could go wrong?

Then in the cracks of the article off to the side on the poll we are running about who would you vote for President in 2008 I was alarmed to have found the secret weapon on John McCain.

Those visiting our site in spanish via google or altavista will get a clear message of who represents them in the next election.

Its too bad jumping a fence doesn’t register you to vote.
