“Stephen Dinan, writing for The Washington Times, in a story published yesterday entitled “Hispanic Group Aims To Stop ‘Wave of Hate,’” quotes Cecelia Munoz of the National Council of La Raza, speaking in the context of the recent defeat of the Senate’s Comprehensive Immigration Reform bill:
I don’t think we should be comfortable with the fact that the United States Senate responded to what was largely a wave of hate …
I think we have to shine a light on it …
At the end of the day, we believe people need to take sides, that you can’t stand on the sidelines, especially if part of what is motivating the actions of the United States Congress is not really about the public-policy debate, but is about their discomfort with Latinos.
Of course, Munoz, taking a page from the playbook of Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and columnist Linda Chavez, apparently reserves the right to ascribe to opponents of the Bush-Kennedy-Kyl-McCain Shamnesty Bill — i.e., a bill that would have legalized 12 to 20 million illegal aliens — the pejoratives of nativist, bigot, and xenophobe.
After all, when you want to advance a subversive agenda, might as well pull out all the stops.
Fact is, American citizens who overwhelmingly and legitimately took issue with the Senate’s amnesty-citizenship giveaway do not have “discomfort with Latinos”; rather, they have an abiding respect for the Rule of Law in this country and have run out of patience with a president and a Congress which refuse to secure our nation’s borders and maritime ports, and who think the answer to governmental malfeasance, ineptitude, and wilfull disregard of the Constitutional mandate to protect every state in the Union from invasion, is more incomprehensible legislation, rather than strict enforcement of ample, existing federal immigration laws.”

What we learn from this story is the actions of those with no stance in what is right choose to attack those who do. Just about the lowest form of debate seems to be the race card. In a country where political correctness has become a weapon of those who are in the wrong, here is another shining example of using the freedoms of honest people to support crime.
Illegals are not immigrants, immigrants are not illegals.
These are two completely seperate concepts that pro-amnesty special interest groups wish to lump together to further their personal agenda.
Cries of racism from those who are lawless and have no moral stance in reality. Americans want laws and our country respected by those who have shown respect for neither.
Perhaps the country and mainstream media needs to be reminded that Americans are the victims here.
I dont care how hard your illegal job is, it is honest Americans that have no part in this that are the victims of the crimes of 15 million people.
Note to La Raza:
All Americans are the victims of your crimes of illegal immigration, not you.
Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, White Americans & Black Americans….we are ALL the victims of a degraded state of our laws, or safety, our sovereignty, and our society at the hands of illegal immigrants.

1, Did you ever read an Immigration law book?
2, Who made these laws?
3, What makes you a BETTER person just because your grandfather came here when Immigration was easy as coming to Ellis Island, and getting your documents?
Where do you even get the oddesity to think that you and people like minded, are better humans than others?

La raza has no right asking or aiding or rewarding, anyone to break OUR laws on Immigration! Stop trying to put guilt where it doesn’t belong. Put it on La raza for not protesting in the ILLEGALS home country, about human rights and economic rights changes. Put it on La raza for promoting and advertising the idea of Amnesty to ILLEGALS, causing ILLEGALS to risk their lives crossing the border. Put it on La raza for aiding and adding to the tax burden for American taxpayers, higher cost in education, healthcare, government services, etc,etc,etc.
The American people have a obligation to protect the very same country millions have died to protect. America is not obligated to reward Amnesty to any criminal disrepecting our laws. If Amnesty is granted to anyone it should be the border guard agents rotting in prison, because they were doing their job!
This is not about HATE from the American people. This is about stopping the huge asinine tax bills we as Americans (present and future generations)have to pay. This is about protecting a land with finite resources. This is about protecting our families and country.
So if anyone has hate in their eyes, it’s La raza for America!

Looks like your subconscious ideas are sneaking into your words.
You said better, I said legal, I said respectful of laws. I blame the lawmakers for not enforcing these laws, it is their job and they should be doing it.
This would mean arresting and deporting. That is the laws those people wrote. Not me.
Its not me ignoring my job.
I wear a setbelt because its the law, I dont steal because its the law, I pay taxes cause its the law, I dont drive drunk cause its the law.
So why should that apply to just me?
These are reasons why our coutry is a great place to live, because it is filled with people respectful of it and its laws.
And you should not assume so much, I went through 5 years of getting legal status for my entire family from a spanish speaking South American nation.
Standing in lines, filing documents waiting for legal working status before working…
Maybe you went to Ellis island, but my family didnt.
5 years to do it right, so perhaps you should not assume you know so much.
Since when is calling for enforcement of the laws in my country hateful?
Why do you change the subject and just attack me personally? I didnt break any laws, Im just asking the laws be enforced as they are on me every day.
Its such a simple concept, someone trying so hard to sound smart should understand it easily.
If others did their jobs I would have nothing to be upset about, and we wouldn’t have 1 million illegals per year pouring into our country with no regard or respect for our laws or soverienty.
Maybe you can tell me what that “immigration law” book you mention says about crossing the border illegally?

I can only assume you are either 1) of hispanic heritage, 2) a self loathing, guilt ridden white democrat, or 3) too young to really understand your world and long term consequences. (Judging from your salutation, I suspect it may be #3.)
Nowhere in Mr. Kraft’s post did he indicate he was “better” than anyone else, nor does he imply he hates hispanics. Seems anytime a bleeding heart left winger is outwitted during a debate, they play the “hate mongering” race card, in some way, shape or form. Stick to the facts: ILLEGAL immigration will bleed this nation dry. If LEGAL immigrants want to take advantage of the opportunities this country offers & ADD some value to our nation, then they are welcomed. LAWBREAKERS ARE NOT. Apparently either you cannot comprehend this or are so morally bankrupt yourself, that it matters not to you if others break the law. (BTW- the immigration laws were passed by Congress and signed into law by our past presidents. All of these individuals were voted into office by US CITIZENS. Try studying up on it- civic awareness is a wonderful thing.)
Let’s hear your thoughts in 25 years or so when the US is a third world country, complements of massive ILLEGAL immigration.

If I hated hispanics, Id have alot of explaiing to do to my family and children.
Usually this is when they put their race card away and stop posting.
A car drives down your street at 90 MPH past kids playing….
…if you get mad it wont be because the driver was white, black or brown….it cause hes breaking the law.
Its because he is a danger to your neighborhood and your kids future.
The Federal Government is allowing groups like La Raza access to our money before we are even able to pick up our paychecks and cash them. We are left little to support what we really want it to go for.
It is totally against the principals of the United States of America when you turn a machine like the criminals in the government have against the will of the people.

A new La Raza funding bill. Another 5 to 10 million for one of their groups! And you’ve gotta just know other tax money is going to other race groups.
