Heres yet another minority group thinking that offensive speech is violating their rights.

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”

While I think tact and tasteful speech is always a nice thing to have, I know that unpopular speech is the BACKBONE of free speech.

If everyone is forced to be politically correct then what is the point to the right to free speech?

If leftist “words and thought” police can sue and cry and complain everytime someone is offended then is this not just censorship by appeasment?

Here is an article in the SFgate.com, where a HUGE CROWD of 30 protestors got offended and want to fire a radio personality and American Mike Savage.

I am not shocked that in San Francisco this is the spin that makes it to publication. 30 People are offended and they have already got a lawyer making PR releases on their behalf.

Last I Checked, about 180,000,000 Americans are offended by the thoughts of Amnesty, and 180,000,000 Americans are offended by Mexican flags marching in the streets of Chicago and LA.

Even this 180,000,000 “offended” americans havnt been able to get one illegal removed from their job.

I dont expect illegal foreigners to understand the concept of “free speech”, since they are not Americans….they just dont get how it works. Perhaps they want an illegal immigrant to get Michael Savage’s job, as millions of other Americans have lost their job markets to criminals?

“Bay Area immigrant rights advocates say radio host Michael Savage should be fired for using hateful language when suggesting supporters of an immigration reform bill who fasted in San Francisco’s Civic Center Plaza last week should starve to death.

During a July 5 broadcast of “The Savage Nation,” his nationally syndicated talk show, Savage said, “I would say let them fast till they starve to death … because then we won’t have a problem about giving them green cards because they’re illegal aliens.”

More than 30 protesters publicly denounced Savage and the on-air remarks outside San Jose City Hall on Thursday and said his comments should not be disregarded on the basis of constitutional free speech. ”

(30? I can find 30 people in my local gas station who strongly oppose amnesty)

“The group, which included San Jose State students who participated in the hunger strike and a variety of community activists, called on radio stations such as Clear Channel Radio’s KNEW 910 AM in San Francisco to apologize for airing vile language and hate speech and cheered in support of the immigrant students who fasted.

Calls to several members of Savage’s production team at Talk Radio Network and Clear Channel were not returned Thursday, and an assistant contacted in the afternoon said Savage would not be available for comment until after his show, which airs until 7 p.m.

The immigrant students fasted to show support for the Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act, which would make higher education or military service a part of the path to citizenship for young illegal immigrants. The DREAM Act was introduced in Congress in 2001 and most recently stalled in June as part of the Senate’s hotly debated immigration reform bill. ”

(The bill was NOT STALLED, it was voted down because AMERICANS dont want it)

Mark Silverman, an attorney with the Immigrant Legal Resource Center, said Savage’s comments were as offensive as those of controversial radio host Don Imus, who was fired from CBS after making racist remarks about the Rutgers women’s basketball team earlier this year.

Julia Curry-Rodriguez, an assistant professor of Mexican American studies at San Jose State, called the broadcast “uninformed, ahistorical and flatly incorrect” and condemned Savage for analogizing the immigrant students to terrorists.

(911, London subway and the Fort Dix event were all immigrants, many illegal)

Such comments are not atypical for Savage, who is known for his anti-immigration views and often offensive speech, said Karl Frisch, a spokesman for Media Matters, a liberal media watchdog that tracks Savage’s program. From here.

(Karl lies here, since they are Anti-illegal immigrant views)

I hate to ask, but if you came here via Michael Savage, we can use any links you can offer us on your blogs or websites. here in Liberal North Carolina news we need any support we can get to compete with the Charlotte Observer.

Hello, Mr. Craft; I find your article on this issue very unreasonable. Just cause they aren’t legal does not mean that they dont have rights. I know many people in America are against “Amnesty” and so am I, but if we can give atleast citizenship to those deserving students that had no control over their parents mistakes; I am down for that. The reality is that they would be beneficial to the U.S. economy. Also Mr.Craft you based this article mostly on free speech, but then you start to include your own opinion towards the subject of the controvery. Just like you said that you can find 30 people against amnesty, I can find 30 Americans for it. Also many of our congressman support the “Dream Act” but not Amnesty.

  2. Michael Kraft on July 14th, 2007 9:52 pm

The Dream Act lost by (i believe it was) 71 to 29% in Arizona.

Arizona has the two most amnesty prone senators in the US and the largest Latino population. (by %)

AND still it failed by 3 to 1.

The dream act gives away american resources to non Americans. That does not benefit me or my kids, which is the job of our government.

I am not entitles to anything In Mexico, so lets not pretend Im the one who is a hypocrite.

If I enter Mexico illegally I am a FELON, and if caught I am charge with a felony.

I am all for more immigrants, BUT IT IS THE RIGHT OF THE US TO CHOOSE THEM.

We choose immigrant to benefit us and them, tho ones coming here laugh at our laws, ingnore our laws and they do not benefit US middle class families in any way at all, but they do put dozens of burdens on the same middle class families.

If 90% of illegal mexicna immigrants crossing the border have no High Scholl diploma, how is that good for the future of America? We could get 100,000 willing immigrants from India with 4+ years of college if we really want to increase our numbers.

These crossers are a drain. Period, not even the best slant can hide that fact.
Interview an emergency room doctor in California or Arizona, and ask what he thinks.

You argument of “30 for amnesty you can find” doesnt work either,

because if there is 280 million in the US, then I can find:

    77% x 280 millions = THE VAST MAJORITY

    You can find

    23% x 280 million = A VAST MINORITY

And if we did this poll while checking legal status this may be even more lopsided.

Illegal immigrants do not better life for Americans in any way, it benefits only themselves and those hiring them.

AND YES those hiring them are americans, so that 3% of america that HIRES should also be fully held accountable for their crimes as well.

  3. Michael Kraft on July 14th, 2007 10:00 pm

    Eric, Here is your link
“The voters passed Proposition 300 - 71 percent to 29 percent - in the November election. ”

That proposition squashed the dream act in the very latino and very pro amnesty Arizona.

    http://dreamact.info/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=89&Itemid=41

So we se that even in the most “PRO-illegal alien” state

the DREAM ACT is completely rejected by legal American voters.

  4. Michael Kraft on July 14th, 2007 10:03 pm

Also keep in mind that if these children’s parents are Illegal here, then they ARE LEGAL somewhere else.

So the children do have rights, and a place to chase dreams.

Here is a nice campus in Mexico City
    http://www.alliant.edu/
    And its US accredited.

They can get accepted there, but I cant with legal status.

  5. Byron on July 15th, 2007 5:55 am

    Mike,

I am all for free-speech. I am for helping illegal alians become legal at some point, first secure borders, and I am definately for helping students who came here as children when they had no choice but to obey their parents.

However, I am completely against Americans calling upon Americans to kill someone of a different race, or wishing for them to die. Makes us no better than terrorists. I have to voice my opinion because this debate is getting to heated, too personal. I read an article where a growing number of radio talk show hosts and people like the minutemen are calling are asking other americans to shoot illegal alians. Not only is this getting out of control, but for individuals who a broad base of listeners like yourself to defend this kind of speech is wrong.

I understand your views and those of many americans who are against amnesty, but we should not act like terrorists, who use video to call upon muslisms to kill Americans. We’re doing the same calling upon Americans to kill/wish the death of Mexicans. And I know you will say “they are illegal”. But how would you know you have killed a legal or illegal immigrant.

Last year in Houston Texas a young boy was sexually abused by teenagers who did it because the boy was Mexican. That boy was an American citizen. This actions fall in the hands of people like Lou Dobbs, Michael Savage and many others who are blowing the cituation out of proportion by terrorizing Americans into believing all Mexicans are illegal and here to hurt us.

  6. Michael Kraft on July 15th, 2007 12:59 pm

I dont recall ever seeing anhone say to shoot illegals.

Show me where Lou dobbs ever encouraged anyone to shoot illegals.

And the last minuteman video I posted on this site was them giving water and first aid to a criminal alien.

Many, many of the minutemen are exmilitary and US servicemen, so to try and spin them as racists is very disrespectful.

They have been raised on protecting America from foreign invasion, and they stand in the desert to do just that.

They report crossers to the Border agenecies, they do not shoot as you have implied.

Also your example from houston is pretty pety since there is an entire website dedicated to innocent Americans killed by Drunk Driving illegals, hundreds and hundreds of casses shown.

Its not an argument of why someone is here, its that they are.

They knew as they crossed they are breaking our laws, and so they are criminals by the definition of the word.

I find the Del rio policy very reasonible:

If you are caught you goto jail for 6 months MANDITORY, then you are deported upon release.

This is less than illegal immigrants get in Mexico, where it is 1 year sentence, and this also makes the point that breaking the law is NOT OK just because you need a job.

  7. Michael Kraft on July 15th, 2007 1:11 pm

“I read an article where a growing number of radio talk show hosts and people like the minutemen are calling are asking other americans to shoot illegal alians. ”

Id like to see this article, so I can foward it to the minutemen Im sure they would have a response or legal action for this author implying this.

  8. Michael Kraft on July 15th, 2007 1:31 pm

“This actions fall in the hands of people like Lou Dobbs, Michael Savage and many others who are blowing the situation out of proportion”

Im not sure where you live Byron. But here in Charlotte, I just had lunch Tuesday at a Burger King in Huntersville (exit 25), there where 5 English speaking likely Americans.

This includes the Manager of the Burger King, Myself, two black guys in front of me and the person the manager was interviewing at a booth.

In front of me there were 11 people in line that looked EXTREMELY far from home, on lunch from landscaping according to their clothes and grass on them. In the store a total of 23 people speaking spanish on lunch break from work.

23 of 28, were “questionable at best” in one lunch stop. As I pointed out before, there are no work visas for landscapers.

And lets not NIT PICK, my family is latino as our 75% of the people we mix with are as well, and im not stupid I can spot a non-english speaking landscaper eating lunch in a mostly middle class suburban area like this.

BEST CASE SCENERIO, half of the people in this one restaurant were illegally in the US.

You can say “blown out of proportion” all you want while 1 million per year keep pouring in, but Im not sure what you are not seeing that I am.

(I did though, order in spanish and make coversation in spanish, sharing my newspaper I had brought as I will bet they are all excellent very nice people. I am for enforcement of the law but do generally understand that latinos are eexcellent warm cultured people,…some of the best.)

    Here’s a video:

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=nCcZABahqgg

“Also your example from houston is pretty pety since there is an entire website dedicated to innocent Americans killed by Drunk Driving illegals, hundreds and hundreds of casses shown.”

Your comparison does not work here. The drunk drivers Illegals or not do not target specific race. The incident in Houston did.

And yes they do blow it out of proportion. One thing is calling our government and asking to enforce our laws. Another is to go on radio and wish someone’s death because they are undocumented in America.

I believe what you say, hispanics are nice, I’ve been travelling all over latin america with the missionary groups and I must say they are great people and grateful for the help we give them. However, they did wrong to cross the border, but the companies and government who lured them here and looked the other way as they were crossing and hired them did even worse.

I understand your point but understand my concern, America is much better than that.

  10. Michael Kraft on July 15th, 2007 2:04 pm

“However, they did wrong to cross the border, but the companies and government who lured them here and looked the other way as they were crossing and hired them did even worse.”

Yep Id say its even. I am pushing that the law allow lawsuit against companies hriing illegals.

Hit them all for millions, and solve the problem of criminal aliens at the same time.

I think “Lured” is such a propaganda word though, I have a big TV , that doesnt mean anyone can come in and watch it cause my door is unlocked.

Those that hire illegals should get jail time. This is the best way to solve the bigger problem.

Mayor’s of Sanctuary cities should face federal treason charges, as their actions jeopardize US security.

Then lastly all illegals will leave when there is nothing here for them.

They should not get amnesty cause they had kids while living here as criminals, they should not get anything but notice that the FREE PASS is over, thanks for coming, now leave.

Since their crime is a felony in most countries they should show gratitude they are just being told to leave.

As for the website and drunk drivers,….Here is one from texas you should consider then

University Of Texas At Arlington Professor Jose Angel Gutierrez speaking to La Raza on campus.

“We are millions. We just have to survive. We have an aging white America. They are not making babies. They are dying. It’s a matter of time. The explosion is in our population.”
“We have an aging white America,” he said on another occasion. “. . . They are dying. . . . They are shittiing in their pants with fear! I love it! . . . ”

There is your hate speech being told to a anmger crowd/mob on a US college campus.

A Mob largely consiting of criminal aliens and children of criminal aliens.

That is hate spech on our soil based on fueling a race war.

  11. Michael Kraft on July 15th, 2007 2:07 pm

There is your wishing death on another race, and done on a US campus.

  12. Eric Richardson on July 15th, 2007 2:34 pm

    MY Kraft,

I thought that your article was based on free speech, but you seem to involve your opinion again towards the subject. If you want to make a reasonable statement, do it by presenting facts and not your opinion. Also you should involve arguments from both sides. You said that in Arizona they turned down a proposition. I said that most of our congressman are for the “Dream Act.”

““It hasn’t been derailed at all,” said Josh Bernstein, federal policy director for the National Immigration Law Center in Washington, D.C. “It has strong support in the House and Senate.”

    and here is a link

    http://www.diverseeducation.com/artman/publish/article_8017.shtml

Also this is another article that says its possible,

    http://www.forbes.com/feeds/ap/2007/06/29/ap3870368.html

Involve facts, leave your opinions to your self.

  13. Michael Kraft on July 15th, 2007 2:49 pm

It was, I didnt mention the dream act first, only in the comment do I respond to that.

Also, besause it is printed sdoesnt make it true.

The AMnesty bill also had “strong support in the house and senate”, but had 22% support with the people.

You seem to have which is important backwards.

If the dream act comes up, the congress better try to sneak it through because Arizona has shown us that Americans themselves dont want it, no matter what bankrolled senators feel.

Also that forbes article, is not stating any support for the failed DREAM act.

That article interviews Lindsey Graham, who is getting BLASTED in the polls for opposing the will of americans.

Also that article states the unlikliness of any bill related to any form of handouts to illegals until the border fence WHICH IS LAW (2006) is built as promised.

The facts are, no form of the DREAM act has even come close to passing anywhere. The senators did everything they could to pass the last “popular bill” and the FACT is 3 to 1 no AMERICANS want any of these garbage handout legislations.

“The immigration bill’s collapse forces all key players to rethink their next moves. Individual components may gain support in the coming weeks, but it won’t be easy, several lawmakers said.

the forbes article just supports my views in the comments above, Americans want enforcement now, first, only.

  14. Eric Richardson on July 15th, 2007 3:41 pm

Again this is not based on the sunject but on the freedom of free speech. Once again you include your own opinion.

    Leave your opinions to yourself.

My Opinion is that if Don Imus got fired for his comments, than Savage should get fired, if not, at least apologize for offending people. I am not saying that he should not be able to express his opinion, but he should do it without offending someone.

My opinion is that people like Mr.Kraig are sick bastards for punishing kids for their parent’s mistakes. In addition, you imply that illegal aliens have no rights, That is the UN-American way to think Mr.Kraig.

But after all this is my opinion. Not Fact.

Deleted, People with no stance in law or common sense resort to name calling.

  15. Michael Kraft on July 15th, 2007 5:07 pm

    Again you change the facts
“In addition, you imply that illegal aliens have no rights”

Illegal aliens dont have US citizenship rights I imply

Just like i Dont have Mexican Citizen rights.

But I also dont demand them, because I respect the law.

  16. Byron on July 15th, 2007 7:16 pm

Professor Jose Angel Gutierrez is just another individual trying to escalate the situation we’re in… People who are for or against should keep their hate to themselves and dabate fairly. Just because you are giving me one guy who is speaking to hispanics about war with white america, does not make it right for us to do the same. As I said, we’re better than that. That’s why we went to Irak, and not nuked the whole middle east as Michael Savage suggested before. It is not compassion, it is being the bigger man.

One other thing, why do you keep saying Mexicans, and send them back to Mexico? are the illegal alians only from Mexico or hispanic? When you speak with someone with an irish accent, do you think he’s undocumented in America too? Or is that just for spanish speaking people?

  17. Michael Kraft on July 15th, 2007 8:12 pm

I am referring to whom Mr Savage dealt with and considering the state he is in, it seems pretty likely.

If you take the time to read throughout past writing I acknowledge Chinese is second behind central American then irish, but the gap is huge, so why waste time trying to find an angle to call me a racist.

And before you waste more breath with this assertion,… my family is hispanic, my kids are hispanic, my daughters first words were spanish, the 9 people watching the Americas cup in my house today speaking and cheering in spanish are hispanic, all of who immigrated legally in the last 6 years from Spanish speaking nations.

So nice try, and thanks for proving the point that pro-illegal immigrant activists always try to play the feeble race card, usually its because there is no other argument.

BUT 47% of hispanics in Arizona also voted against the DREAM act, so even hispanic-Americans that put america first see that giving away rewards to illegals is wrong.

My Father-in law who ONLY speaks spanish has already had his SS# stolen twice by illegal immigrants (once for cable TV and once for a job), so Im gonna group him in with other legal American residents that are fed up.

The point is, there is no debate.

Why should I debate “enforce the law” ?

its the law, the law is not open to debate with foreigners.

    Why would
“Americans debate with non-americans” about the rules and laws and happening in our country?

And lastly the one point you completely misunderstand in my views.

I am always very nice to people I know damn well are illegals, I am friendly and make them feel comfortable by speaking spanish and being cordial, since I am not an ICE official, I am a Charlotte resident and friendly to all I met like I was raised to be.

IT IS THE LACK OF ENFORCMENT by our government that I am angry with, not illegals (predominantly Mexican in Charlotte).
I find Mexicans here very friendly and as nice as can be, it is our sellout government that knowingly allows crime to go rampant and unchecked that my anger is 100% with.

  18. Carlito on July 16th, 2007 5:26 pm

    Kraft wins this one…sorry Byron.

I am a listener to Savage and I never have heard him wish anyone dead with the exclusion of our wartime enemies that keep bombin gour kids in the Middle East…Im sure he has dedicated more time to promote life and good will towards mankind than the average Joe. I mean its not like he is a Medical Dr. and tried to plot bombs going off in London killing hundreds of innocent lives…why aren’t most people talking about that reality? Is it forgotten already?

This is being blown out of proportion once again.

    Go Savage…

  19. David on July 16th, 2007 7:07 pm

    Mr. Kraft,

Please don’t be be so disengenious about your comparisons of liberals who have also said nasty things. We can always find grotesque examples of far-right and far-left comments on just about any topic. However, Dr. Savage uses the public airwaves, has millions of listerners, and day in and day out spews hatred and vile. I still can’t find the Bible that he refers to. Apparently, conservatives love to pick the parts of the Bible that advance their agenda but cowardly ignore all the other parts of the Bible (hmm… lets see, help the poor (not the billionaire), forgive, love (not hate), against all deaths (against abortion and the death penalty), and so on). But I’m not surprised by your disengenous characterization. Call yourself a conservative, but don’t call yourself morally right. Call Dr. Savage a right-winger, but don’t tell us that he represents the average American. The average American doesn’t spew hatred every day to anyone but the white Baptist male. GOP of today is all about utter hypocrisy (Vitter, Ted Haggard, Mark Foley). Don’t try to teach us about family values sir. MA has the lowest divorce rate (I guess those gays really do affect my marriage). Next time, call it like it is. Dr. Savage is not a real American. He is the modern day Hitler (a fascist, who wants supreme Executive power).

  20. Tim on July 16th, 2007 7:44 pm

    Go SAVAGE!

Sorry David, the majority of Americans do in fact agree with Savage’s views. Why can’t you liberals admit that?….Nevermind I know the answer. Look at the top 3 talk radio shows in America. What is listened too? 1. Limbaugh, 2. Hannity, 3. Savage. Why didn’t the liberal shows that tried to compete, even with superior funding, get enough listeners to survive? Because the majority does not agree with their liberal crap. Which is why they want forced equal time under the guise of fairness, lol! The liberal minority has ruled, but now the conservative majority is awake! Throw out the illegals! Take America back!

    Tim

  21. tony on July 16th, 2007 8:24 pm

Are these the same illegals that are in the shawdows m-f, but have plenty of time on the weekend to protest. Why cant we send the police to these “protests” and arrest the drug dealers and criminals that are there.

Hey gringo liberal, you go live illegally in Mexico for 1 day and see how yu like it. and then dare to even somuch as write a letter to the editor and you can be arrested. The sad part is that mexicans are very hostile to us down there, and then expect us to give them everything? WE SAY NO!!!!!

  22. Mitch on July 16th, 2007 9:04 pm

Why should we give these people legal status when they have shown ZERO respect for our laws and obviously failed to grasp even the most basic aspects of our Constitution?

Instead of telling these student they are flat out wrong for suggesting that Savage should be censured/fired, the professors at SJ State are supporting them!

Our tax dollars fine at work here in the formerly great state of CA.

  23. Carolyn Geary on July 16th, 2007 9:22 pm

Great article!! Free speech is about all we have left in these great United States!

  24. Mike on July 16th, 2007 9:55 pm

I don’t know what is so hard to understand. The point of a hunger strike is to FORCE your will upon another by playing to their weakness. The striker is not looking for your opinion or is willing to compromise. They give two choices: agree with me and I live (good), or disagree and I die (bad). Savage said, “I would say let them fast till they starve to death…” By saying he disagrees, Michael took choice two, and restated the answer, “I disagree so continue your fast until the Reaper arrives.”

Because Michael Savage is a middle-aged white guy; it becomes hate speech, racism, or something similar if he disagrees with anyone. He never said, “Put them to death,” only let them live or die with their own decision.

  25. Michael Kraft on July 16th, 2007 10:31 pm

Youll see I never comment on his personal views.

Just his right to speak them

“Next time, call it like it is. Dr. Savage is not a real American. He is the modern day Hitler (a fascist, who wants supreme Executive power).”

  26. Michael Kraft on July 16th, 2007 10:32 pm

“Great article!! Free speech is about all we have left in these great United States!”

yeah and its the criminals using it, abusing it and mocking our use of it as hate speech.

  27. Luke on July 16th, 2007 10:33 pm

“GOP of today is all about utter hypocrisy (Vitter, Ted Haggard, Mark Foley).”

“We can always find grotesque examples of far-right and far-left comments on just about any topic.”

Humorously David, her you have a hypocrisy about a hypocrisy. As you said, we always can find grotesque examples on either side. On your side we have congressman stuffing loads of cash into their freezers, but you didn’t mention that.

“Apparently, conservatives love to pick the parts of the Bible that advance their agenda but cowardly ignore all the other parts of the Bible (hmm… lets see, help the poor (not the billionaire), forgive, love (not hate), against all deaths (against abortion and the death penalty), and so on).”

Last time I checked, liberals were for abortion, not conservatives. You are indeed a twisted brainwashed individual. But though I disagree with you, I would fight to the death your right to say it. This is a quote used by Dr. Savage frequently, and one being upheld by armed services, 90% of whom hate your propagandist crap.

So before the people on this blog call Dr. Savage a hate-monger, understand, how, unlike you all, though Michael Savage speaks out against other views, he acknowledges and respects their right to say it.

You communists ignore all statistics, many posted on this very site, that show that 25 people are killed each day by illegal aliens, and all the money given to illegals from the government.

Thank you Mr. Kraft, for putting up fight against this liberal madness, and fighting off the lies of the bloggers in this forum.

May God continue to bless Michael Savage, and may God continue to bless America.

  28. R Bauman on July 16th, 2007 11:08 pm

“Just cause they aren’t legal does not mean that they don’t have rights.”

    Excuse me???

Since when does the United States Constitution grant rights to citizens of foreign countries?
Especially those who break our laws?

Do criminals in our jail have rights? I think not. What an idiotic statement.

  29. Adela Kostea on July 17th, 2007 12:18 am

    Mr.Savage is completely right.
To find his argument offensive is ridiculous….this is America,we are a free democratic nation and we enjoy our freedom of speech.
If you don`t agree, consider this:you have a nice house,a nice car,a large screen plasma TV,you worked hard to get them, you deserve them, but i do not have any such things and i want yours….i want to be able to get inside your house, bring in my entire family, enjoy the result of your hard work, stay for as long as i want..and if you don`t agree,i`m gonna call you a racist and a xenophobe,a bigot and i will call for you to be fired and even sue you for inflicting moral trauma….
If you are a hard core liberal and you feel so bad about these poor students who want the stupid gringo to pay their tuition, put your money where your mouth is,bring some of them into your house, give them free room and board, pay for their clothing, medical care and education…
Savage never told anyone to go out there and kill illegal aliens,he just said that a hunger strike was their own idea,it was what they wanted to do,so let`s call their bluff and let them take the hunger strike to its natural conclusion.
I agree 100% with Savage and so does about 85 % of the american people.
The time when the MSM used to control what we heard, seen and thought,is OVER.
We have talk radio and we have the internet and both are here to stay and prosper.
The time when liberal stalinists such as Nifong could do whatever the heck they want without having to answer for their action,is over…and Mark Silverman should be next.
He works for illegal aliens, who rarely have checking accounts,so he probably is geting paid in cash..that should be the first thing to look into,as well as other shady arrangements Silverman has with the illegal alien gangs.

  30. Constantin C. on July 17th, 2007 12:32 am

    Illegal aliens are victimizing about 17 americans on a daily basis,by way of murder,rape,robberies,drunk driving/car accidents,shootings,stabings,gang activities,drug related activities,etc…
Illegal aliens are sucking us dry, they are destroying our social/national/moral fabric, bankrupting hospitals, schools and making up about 30% of our prison population.
Illegal aliens are stealing our social security numbers and working for cash wich they send back to the country of their origin.
Illegal aliens want us to accomodate them in every possible way, they want us to learn their language, rather than them learning english.
Illegal aliens cost us about $20 billion a year, but don`t tell that to the bleeding heart liberals.
Don`t tell that to Geraldo Rivera.
If the poor little girl who was abducted and sexually asaulted then murdered by an illegal alien,if that was Geraldo`s daughter,he would probably look at it from a diferent prospective.
If the countless families killed by drunk driver illegal aliens were Geraldo`s family,he would probably change his tune.
Savage is right, but he should have gone even further:the hundreds of thousands of americans who have been victimized or had family members victimized by illegal aliens, should join in a class action law suit against the federal government, for failing to protect them properly and siding with the illegal invaders.

Thank you Michael for telling it how it is using facts, NOT feelings… It would be great if the world got an education and clean living.

The corrupt Mexican govt must be defeated, they are primarily responsible, for the mass corruption within their borders. Look into the concrete business, any level / branch of the police and govt, as well as the petrol business.

The 3rd worlders are bringing down the American Standard!!!!!!

  32. Daniel Ward on July 17th, 2007 1:35 am

A hunger strike is a form of blackmail. It says “give us what we demand or there will be starvation, maybe death here”. Dr. Savage gave a logical reply. Let the outcome play out. Don’t give in to weak blackmail like this. The DREAM Act would force taxpayer dollars to pay for the children of illegals to go to the college of their choice and pay no out-of-state resident fees at all. If my son wanted to go to some college out-of-state, we would be hit hard and up front with large fees imposed on us-and we are legal residents! The more you research it, the more flawed an act it is-basically full of handouts. Dr. Savage is one of the few beacons of truth still left out there that a)hasn’t been bought out b) doesn’t play partisan politics or c)follows some spineless code known as political correctness. Thank God the free airwaves and an unfiltered Internet still exist. Ask yourself from what source will you get the truth from if these sources are ever eliminated or silenced?

That Eric Richardson is a fool who will one day live in the shackles of totalinarianism. Does he truly believe that offensive speech is a firing offense? My God, the ignorance of people! It is appalling. This is more evidence of a “dumbed-down society”, and of the poor public education system in this county.

Show me, Eric, where in the U.S. Constitution it states that free speech is only free “as long as no one is offended by it”?

I’m sorry, they don’t really cover that in our Public Schools anymore, do they? Wouldn’t want to let the young people know the principles upon which this country was founded.

I just got back from MEXICO for the weekend. i was ripped off many times, heard derogotory remarks in spanish about me and my friends (thinking i dont understand spanish), and threatend to be arrested by the policia for not paying the made up prices they put in a bill. Pay up or go to jail.
We( also many other citizens) gave tips galore and food to the poor children and charity and they dont appreciate it.

This is how we are viewed in mexico, but they can be insulted and protest, ask to get people fired, and sue people till they become rich.

We give so much to the world and Mexico(by way of rights, jobs, aid, and benifits and get no appreciation.

By the way, people usually bring up illegals from mexico due to the fact, that is the flag we see being waved in our cities to represent there struggle.

  36. Ralph Salem on July 17th, 2007 3:22 am

    Rights?

Who has rights in America, these days? It certainly doesn’t appear to be Americans, I’ll say that much.

I am a lifetime citizen of the great State of Arizona - one who never voted for John McStain, but who mistakenly has voted for John Kyl. I did vote against any form of the ‘Dream Act’ and did, in fact, vote for the recent Arizona voter initiative that put the burden of proof on people seeking to vote or get in-state tuitions.

The flip-side to that? My blood heritage is Mexican, Lebanese and German. Don’t go there - I’ve already laughed with enough friends who say I am a Nazi terrorist who sneaks across the border…

But I was born on the border and grew up on the border. I’ve spent a lot of time in Mexico and had a lot of exposure to Cesar Chavez’ United Farm Workers union. I grew up in an era where Polish, Catholic, Jewish, Italian people were parodied in joke books - and we all knew how to laugh at ourselves. But not anymore because the American is labeled a racist for wanting to protect his homeland and speak his mind.

I don’t flinch because of towel-head jokes because I am self-sure and an American Christian. Always have been and always will be.

Here’s what ‘rights’ we have now. Two years ago, my little brother (he’s 43 now) was driving to work in the San Diego area. He was rear-ended by a man in a ratty old pickup truck. My brother’s car was barely 60 days old. The truck’s speed was estimated at between 40-50MPH upon impact. It was a blessing that no one was seriously hurt, but my brother’s car was totaled. Driver of the truck was found with false ID, was legally drunk, no license, no insurance, expired tags and no legal claim to be in America. He was an illegal alien in every manner.

Police showed up, investigated the scene, checked everything out. My brother got a citation for no proof of insurance (it was crushed inside an inside compartment and later dismissed). The clown who rear-ended him was cared for by paramedics and allowed to leave WITHOUT ANY TICKETS!

When my brother protested, he was told it wouldn’t make any difference, because ‘they don’t ever show up in court anyway.’

He was without a car for a week, then got a rental while the insurance company tried to find the other party. In the end, my brother was out his $1000 deductible, two days of work and got a depreciated amount to buy another car.

So what did this all get me? A good realization that we need to shut these illegals up, round them up and ship them south of the border - then we need to arm the border and shoot anything that moves.

    How’s that for compassion?

  37. Donna Stevens on July 17th, 2007 8:39 am

  39. jason fackrell on July 17th, 2007 9:57 am

The statement Michael Savage made was crass and mean, so what? I agree with his ultimate point, though I disagree with the way he said it. Ignore it, if you don’t like it. People say things in the media all the time that offend me. Big deal. What is more concerning to me than anything that Dr Savage said on his radio program, is foreign nationals, not American citizens, are demanding the dismissal of one of our citizens who said something they did not like. Say what you want about illegal rights and the economy, but two facts will prove true over time: nations that protect their sovereignty endure, and nations that lack the will or ability to do this decline, fail, and dissolve. And I would submit the seeds for latter are sown already. We are more than an economy, we are more than a breadline, we are a nation of freemen that provide the forum for the first two to function.

  40. Conservadoc on July 17th, 2007 12:40 pm

    Erik R.,
The illegal aliens do have rights. They have a right to live, breath, and honestly make money.
However, there are certain rights which overlap with and infringe on other people’s rights. Those rights are finding a job, welfare, college tuition, and many other things that will cause someone else to sacrifice something by allowing them access these rights. Those rights belong to citizens only. We pay taxes, make sacrifices and give to the country and community, and in turn we get our rights.
Illegal alliens have no rights. Putting the fact that many are terrorists, many hate America, and many don’t work or know English, they do not contribute to society. That’s why they have no rights which infringe on the citizens’.
There is a Talmudic saying - “he who has compassion on the evil - in the end he himself will become evil”. Logical enough?

  41. william on July 17th, 2007 2:22 pm

I am proud to be an American citizen; and damn proud of every soldier who has ever faught, bled, lost limbs, and died for the rights I (and others) have to say what we think, feel and even just what’s on our minds from time to time.
But we as a people have grown weak and our enemies know it. We let people aren’t supposed to have any rights come here and take over us without any actions(try going down there and watch what happens to you a#$). We elect officals who don’t give a damn about anything but getting re-elected (and lining thier pockets), and most of all we stand there and take the lies and the “good intentions” of the U.S. gov’t and the media don’t even question or think about twice. Please people… open your eyes to the fact that if the opposition is complaining and wanting someone, who uses the public airwaves, to voice a disagreement he has with a party pretaining to anything off the air; how soon do you think that on a public street, we could be next? Wake up and smell the bulls$&% people!! He has the right to say what he said and if you have the right to disagree, (if you do because I don’t), but if you want to take away his right to say it, you are wanting to take away your right to oppose (to anything)!
By the way to the person who said “Mayor’s of Sanctuary cities should face federal treason charges, as their actions jeopardize US security” should include persons of the U.S. gov’t (all the way to the top, both present and past) for selling us out and stabbing us in the back. Stand up people and take your gov’t back!

  42. Tom on July 17th, 2007 3:27 pm

The U.S. law each illegal has broken is codified at 8 USC 1325. Read it and you’ll see no defense exists as to why they should be allowed to stay in this country. If anyone believes they are doing jobs Americans won’t do then I say they are dreamers.

We have plenty of people in rehab programs and on probation who are begging for jobs. But, they can’t get them because a Mexican of illegal status has it. Go to any fast food restaurant and you’ll see an adult Mexican behind the counter where there used to be U.S. teenagers working. That means even the fast food industry has taken away jobs from Americans. Fast food of all places. Geesh…

I’m not anti-immigrant. I’m against law breaking slugs who tell me they have rights just because they came across the border in the dead of night or heat of day. Either way, they are here and want me to support them.

Sorry, won’t and don’t want to do it. Take your Mexican flag and march all the way back to Mexico and demand your rights in your home country. I’ll be happy to watch what your government does to you as I watch the nightly news.

Illegal is illegal is illegal no matter where. Heck, even Mexico knows it. They have a law against illegal entry. Imagine…

Regardless, God bless them and keep them safe until they return home.

  43. Lisa on July 17th, 2007 5:22 pm

I have pretty much had it with this whole thing! I am sick of people wanting special treatment when they don’t deserve it! I think we should file a lawsuit against this lawyer demanding that WE are offended! Newsflash: You are illegals!! You have no rights!!!! Sorry, maybe you should have thought about that before you came here illegally. If you were born here and your parents broke the law, SORRY, your parents broke the law–be mad at them!!!! Stop the insanity! I am going to pull my hair out if I have to sit back and keep watching this country fall apart!
Thanks for this article, it is an article with common sense and FACTS!

I do not agree that Mr. Savage should be fired or appologise for what he said, Just as I did not agree that MR. Imus should have been fired for what he said. Since he was, I demand that Al Sharpton be banned from radio for calling Jewish Americans “White Interlopers” and “diamond merchants.”. I will pull the hairs out of my arms and legs one by one until He’s off the air.

Salem, I like you, agree that they should be shut up, rounded up and shipped back home.
But, don’t drop them just over the border.

It may take a little more expense to do this but, air drop each one of them at the most southern tip of Argentina.
Let’s see them walk back to the U.S. from there.

Or, they want to be on U.S. land so bad?
Send them to Guantanimo - it’s still concidered U.S. soil.

The police dropped the ball a couple of months ago at those illegal immigrant rallys.
There were several thousands of illegals, out in the street, yelling loudly that they were here illegally.

In fact, WHY AREN’T THESE OUTSPOKENLY ILLEGAL’S SITTING IN MEXICO, NOW?!

Let me make myself very clear. I am not against legal immigration to America, nor am I against the Mexican people.

I am however VERY AGAINST ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION, PERIOD!

If the Mexican population makes up the majority of Illegal Immigration, then I say we need to force our own governments hand to do the right thing, ENFORCE the border and make every human being especially the Mexican Illegal Immigrants adhere to our Legal Immigration Laws.

  51. Chris Garcia on July 19th, 2007 12:31 pm

Great article Mr. Kraft. I am thankful that you and people like Dr. Savage aren’t afraid to say what they are thinking.

If the illegal immigrants can seem to be able to organize protests and marches for their “so called rights,” maybe it is time for the LEGAL AMERICANS to get together and march for our actual rights, and let the illegals and the law makers know how we really feel.

  52. Tavit on July 20th, 2007 1:52 pm

    One question please…

What is the difference between and Illegal Alien who works for $6.00 / hr but uses the American social system for all types of FREE SERVICES that LEGAL AMERICANS pay for which really means the REAL COST to LEGAL AMERICANS is NOT $6.00 / hr but more like $20 to $25 or more an hour.

    versus

We could save ourselves a lot of pain by simply hiring a LEGAL AMERICAN and pay them $20 - $25 hr.

    Your choice…

ILLEGAL ALIEN usurping American social services (what is the REAL COST to LEGAL AMERICANS?)

Have you asked a healthcare professional lately?

    vs

PAY A LEGAL AMERICAN A REAL WAGE?

  53. Gary Riddle on July 20th, 2007 1:59 pm

Michael Savage is just what America needs to wake people up to the attacks upon free speech, personal freedoms and the very principles that this country was founded upon. Our political leaders are the real enemies — not Michael Savage. He only says what many citizens are thinking, but cannot, or will not say because of the “political correctness” that permeates our society.

  54. Ed Isaacs on July 21st, 2007 2:53 pm

    Thanks Mr. Kraft,
As an immigrant myself, happen to be part of the last generation of immigrants that wanted to become Americans and give to America, not take, take, take, like the new immigrants that really hate this country and by that I mean its people and its way of life, and wish to squeeze every drop and then want to see it destroyed….just because their hearts bring the hate that exists in their country of origin.
At the same time I must point out the greed of the employers that hire illegals are fueling, if not causing the problem.
One day they’ll pay the price. No doubt.
    Keep up the good work.

  55. blue_penquin on July 29th, 2007 3:39 pm

    XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
The above is just another strawman to BS the gullible. I don’t care who these illegals are they are here illegally. The definition of illegal doesn’t equate to immigrant. Immigrant is a person welcomed by and passes through lawfully enacted immigration processes.

Get a life open your eyes or are you so brain dead you cannot see the inch worm PC terrorist destroying America.

  56. Tim Carnes on August 1st, 2007 2:23 pm

Thank you Mike Savage for your voice and your unwavering stand for the good of this country.

Samuel adams said “The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil Constitution, are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors: they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men.”

May we stand guard against the false designs which would prevent the security of our borders and the elimination of the illegal immigration problem in this country.

    Dr. Savage,
So many of Americans listen to your right on explanations of what is going on & I’m sure many of those do feel as i do , 1st of all your manner of making many feel including by your style of informing us so we understand, from the educated listeners to the not so educated, but intelligent, listeners” AMERICANS” !! I am in Mississippi & heard your program play Dixie the other day & following that you stated this is what seems to be a possibility again, meaning Civil War. You read my mind!! It was initially of states rights & so many do not know history & relate that war to slavery, however a catalyst it was, and the many who fought n died were not slave owners as you know and others dont. I dont know how to start to say how patriotic i feel to save this country and there are others like myself, however others that talk like me but no guts to fight however we may have to do it!! As well, i have deep hopes that the very people you rally will get behind you without a thought, if you could get into the public face, however that may be?? Radio n books arent enough. I ask you to step out & before you do, if you do, you will have many of a strong backbone of AMERICANS behind you!!!
    Regards to Teddy,
