800000bucks.jpgThe huge scandal coming from South America, Argentina and Venezuela is the Hugo Chavez government officials traveling in a private jet to Argentina the night before Chavez was to visit. They were stopped at the airport with a suitcase containing $800,000 US Doallars.

Clearly fighting for the poor and fighting corruption by carting suitcases full of money out of the country. The Chavez official caught with the bag could have also driven it out in his $200,000 Ferrari Spyder F1 as well. This comes from the party that fights the rich.

“Claudio Uberti, a highway official who is one of Kirchner’s key negotiators on energy deals with Venezuela, resigned on Thursday after he allowed a Venezuelan businessman carrying almost $800,000 in undeclared cash to travel on a jet hired by Argentine state energy company Enarsa.

The scandal comes a month after Kirchner’s economy minister was forced to step down over more than $60,000 found stashed in a bag in her office bathroom. Under renewed pressure, Kirchner defended his record on Thursday.”

So first thing the Venezuelan government does is deny they are connected to the man flying from Venezuela with this suitcase on a private jet of the president of Argentina. Just a coicidence I suppose?

I have read online claims that the CIA put the money on the plane to frame them. This is the type of dementia Chavez feeds to his people on his many government programmed TV stations.

“All of this has been said to try to make troubles and besmirch President Chávez visit to Buenos Aires. A campaign, both here (Buenos Aires) and in Caracas has been launched on the alleged detention of a Venezuelan government official onboard of a plane, carrying a portfolio with whatever amount of US dollars,” the diplomat said.

(a “portfolio” that took Argentina officials 1 hour to count it all, a pretty big wallet)

VP Rodríguez says the media makes a fuss about money seizure in Argentina
Venezuelan Vice-President Jorge Rodríguez accused Thursday the media of “making a stupid smog pot” after a Venezuelan tried to take illegally to Argentina USD 800,000, concomitantly with the visit of Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez.

He is referring to the media of Argentina, because as we covered earlier, all media in venezuela is controlled or under threat of control by the government or military in Venezuela. Most notable was the government seizing of RCTV, the oldest TV station in the country this year to replace it with a government run station, which even the Socialist party of spain calls “the clear intervention [of the state] in the media, controlling spaces that in many cases are pure and hard propaganda of the regime”.

Daniel venezuela blog reports:

“But in Venezuela there is only some provincial newspapers, Globovision, El Universal , El Nacional and mostly Tal Cual that are on top of it. Chavismo media (dozens of radio stations and TV) are ignoring the affair of if they allude to it is to denounce the whole thing as an imperialist plot, the standard fare for ANYTHING that goes wrong in Venezuela. The alleged “independent” media, from Ultimas Noticias to Televen or Venevision, barely touch the subject, if at all. In fact some commentators are even wondering whether the affair is dealt with at all in Venezuela just because of the fuzz in Argentina.”

Having spoken first hand with family in venezuela, they say there is very vague news of the scandal at best on state run TV, and claims that it is an Argentinean issue.

The Argentinean government acknowledged Wednesday that two Argentinean government officials and four executive officers with state-run oil holding Petróleos de Venezuela (Pdvsa) took a chartered plane from Caracas, including a Venezuelan businessman carrying USD 800,000, undeclared and seized by the Argentinean customs last Saturday, reported AP.

State-run Energía Argentina S.A. (Enarsa) issued a press release reporting on the people onboard the plane. Passengers included Ruth Berhrrenes, Pdvsa official in Uruguay; Nelly Cardozo, Pdvsa legal counsel; Wilfredo Avila, Pdvsa protocol official, and Daniel Uzcátegui Speech, the son of a Pdvsa Vice-President.

All government emplyees and a bag full of cash. One of many bags and many trips the investigation is beginning to unearth.

Queried by AP, an unidentified Pdvsa source in Caracas answered that there would be no official communiqué for the time being and denied that Uzcátegui Speech was “the son of a Pdvsa Vice-President.”

Another passenger in addition to the Pdvsa officials was Guido Alejandro Antonini Wilson, the Venezuelan who was presumably in possession of a suitcase including the undeclared amount of money.

You can see the $200,000 Ferrari Spyder F1 owned by this Chavez employee here, which he no doubt uses to “help the poor”.

On the side of the $200,000 sports car is the pro chavez sticker that says “”Venezuela es de Todos” which is his motto about support for the poor.

Viva la Revolución!

This type of obvious corruption and control of the media has even turned off former allies of Chavez.

“The socialist party of Spain, in earlier days a strong supporter of Chavez is now going the way of almost all European Socialists and Social Democratic parties: Chavez is a fake. Elena Valenciano, a spokesperson of the party, has said that they are “worried by the authoritarian drift of the regime”. She also added their concern about “the clear intervention [of the state] in the media, controlling spaces that in many cases are pure and hard propaganda of the regime”.

From here.

Based on the initial version, Antonini claimed that the suitcase contained books only.
Buenos Aires newspaper La Nación confirmed that an Argentinean official, Claudio Uberti, monitor of the highway authority, was in the list of passengers in the flight where Antonini arrived.

Ricardo Mussa, ex candidate for president, filed criminal charges against Uberti and asked also the Argentinean justice to investigate into Uberti’s involvement.

On Friday August 10, 2007 Argentinean officials spent 60 minutes to count USD 800,000.

The whereabouts of Antonini Wilson is a mystery. While Argentinean authorities reported that he went to Uruguay last Wednesday, the businessman claimed to be in Buenos Aires and his attorneys said that he was in Miami.

If you are wondering what all this money must be paying for, or where it is coming from, heres some reading to enlighten you.

cocaine, cocaine, terrorists, guns, cocaine, payoffs, cocaine and cocaine.

Antonini is an upper-class private-magnate businessman, he signed the referedum against President Chávez, he is an opposition member with very “good relations” in Argentina and Venezuela. Everyone, except the media, knows that.

But was on a private plane with 4 top ranking PDVSA officials.

Top ranking officials in the PDVSA are basically top political figures, everyone knows that as well.

And as we all know the PDVSA is rojo, rojito….it and all its staff and dealings are property of “the revolution”.
