The Republican debate took place today at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Some heated exchanges on abortion, mostly attempts to attack others positions and not pushing your own qualifications.

Ron Paul again pleased the crowd, and Mitt Romney looked good as well as he often does. We will have further breakdown tomorrow and rank the candidates.

After you watch the video head over to CSPANJUNKIE.org on youtube and see the entire debate online.

We look forward to grading our prospects for a better GOP future. While it looks unlikely to get a good common sense conservative in office, a good leader is available in 4 or 5 candidates.

Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani – New York City
Former Governor Mike Huckabee – Arkansas
U.S. Congressman Duncan Hunter – California
U.S. Senator John McCain – Arizona
(We dont Discuss McCain, his sellout of America makes him dead to us)

U.S. Congressman Ron Paul – Texas
Former Governor Mitt Romney – Massachusetts
U.S. Congressman Tom Tancredo – Colorado
Former Governor Tommy Thompson – Wisconsin

In a funny side story about TIME magazine. We had just gotten done writing about the pro illegal propaganda that TIME spins.

Pehaps a coicidence? but TIME ranked the debate and gave the three lowest grades to Ron Paul, Duncan Hunter and Tom Tancredo in that order.

The three strongest opponants of illegal immigration were given the lowest marks in the exact order of their opposition to amnesty.

I agree Tancredo can rub some people wrong, but Ron Paul and Duncan Hunter have been very solid in every debate so far, so these grades seem either harsh or pre-planned. (likely just a harsh coicidence)
