Here is a little exceprt form the latest in the dally news reports about murder, crime and illegal immigrant fed gangs.

In Newark, NJ this week, 4 American citizens were lined up and shot in the head by illegal immigrants.

These “undocumented murderers” were some of those that would have received amnesty and legal status under the immigration reform plan of congress.

I know I dont exactly spin this in a balanced way,….but the reality of the story is, this is what happened.

In New Jersey where Senator Frank R. Lautenberg and Senator Robert Menendez both voted to give amnesty to these same illegal immigrants, 4 black students were lined up and shot in the back of the head by criminal illegal aliens. 3 of the students died, one survived.

“The three victims of last weekend’s Newark schoolyard murders were laid to rest today in three separate funerals, amid tears, prayers, song, and a renewed cry for the community to band together to end the violence that has darkened this city.”

Two of Newark’s largest Baptist churches were filled to capacity for the funerals of Dashon Harvey, 20, and Terrance “T.J.” Aeriel, 18, while the service for 20-year-old Iofemi Hightower was held in a small neighborhood church run by her grand-uncle, Rev. John McClain, a Newark police chaplain.

As the funerals began this morning, authorities announced that an arrest warrant has been issued for a fourth suspect wanted in connection with the slayings.

Rodolfo (aka Gomez) Godinez. Fourth suspect in Newark triple homicide.Rodolfo Godinez, 24, also known as Rodolfo Gomez, is a Nicaraguan illegal immigrant whose last known addresses were in the Newark’s Ivy Hill section, where the murders occurred.

Rodolfo came to the US illegally on Oct. 24, 1992 and He was ordered deported on May 5, 1993, according to Essex County Sheriff Armando Fontura.
Rodolfo never left, nobody cared and now he murdered 3 Americans.

Authorities said Rodolfo played a central role in the killings and plan to charged him with three counts of murder, felony murder and weapons charges.

Three other suspects have been charged so far. Jose Lachira Carranza, a 28-year-old illegal immigrant from Peru, surrendered on Thursday. Two 15-year-old boys have been arrested - one on Wednesday and one Friday.

Authorities suspect up to six people participated in the attack and have said they hope to arrest the remaining suspects by next week.

The three victims, who were planning to attend Delaware State University this fall, had gone to Mount Vernon School in Newark’s Ivy Hill neighborhood to talk and listen to music. They were approached by a group of who forced them against a schoolyard wall and shot them each in the back of the head. ”

Wearing an orange jail jumpsuit, Carranza spoke softly through a translator. He had surrendered Thursday to Booker, who attended the arraignment.

“Carranza had been using a bogus Social Security number, Essex County Sheriff Armando Fontoura said. Carranza is an undocumented immigrant from Peru, his attorney acknowledged in court.”

“Carranza had been scheduled to appear in court Monday to answer two previous indictments. One accuses him of sexually assaulting and threatening to kill a 13-year-old, a girlfriend’s child. Another charges him with an array of assault and weapons offenses. “

“There seems to be no motivation, no provocation,” Booker said, calling the crime “evil.”

The true murderer of these three youngsters is Bush. Bush took an oath to protect those three youngsters and he, with full understanding of the dangers associated with his open boarder policy, violated his oath of office. Bush is as guilty as the riminal alien trespassers that commited the murder.

  2. Alex Dinoia on August 12th, 2007 2:52 pm

“There seems to be no motivation, no provocation”?! If there is no indication of a normal motive, then by process of elimination it must be a hate crime. There is no such thing as a “senseless” crime. That’s just code authorities use when they try to sweep a politically incorrect hate crime under the rug. Very probably these are gang members keeping non-Latinos out of “their” neighborhood. This is the Klan With The Tan at work here. If four whites lined up blacks and executed them there would be an instant presumption of a racial motive. If whites are not the perps, then the media goes mum since it contradicts their precious belief that only whites are evil and everyone else is a victim of their evil. The police go mum too because their jobs and benefits are dependent on the whims of the lefty/lib politicians whose careers depend on pandering to the non-white vote. To see what is really going on, see the stories at these two links below.

Yeah that makes any sense at all.

  4. John Myrick on August 12th, 2007 3:37 pm

The leaders of Newark are largely responsible for these 4 young people getting shot in cold blood by these animals by making Newark a sanctuary city which enabled these lowlifes to roam free. Anytime an American city like Newark makes itself sanctuary friendly to illegal aliens, their crime rate goes up thus putting their own citizens in danger. How many more Americans are going to be killed by illegal aliens before it is too late? We have lost almost 50,000 Americans since 9/11/01 at the hands of illegal aliens.Where is the outrage by our leaders on the federal, state and local level?

  5. Michael Kraft on August 12th, 2007 3:39 pm

Alex you are 100% correct, I was referring to penguins rant.

  6. Michael Kraft on August 12th, 2007 3:40 pm

“Anytime an American city like Newark makes itself sanctuary friendly to illegal aliens, their crime rate goes up thus putting their own citizens in danger. ”

    Disgusting.

These families should sue the city for passing laws to aid this murder.

Maybe someone will pay attention if the lawyers get involved, because common sense and laws dont mean anything in liberal cities.

  7. Bobby on August 12th, 2007 3:48 pm

The city I live in is a Sanctuary City. Most of the people in it, don’t even realize it. I saw its policy on the internet. About 3 months ago, there was an article in a newspaper in a city about 40miles from mine, called Ontario, in Southern California. The article showed how a Mexican Drug lord had outlets where his “associates” were selling drugs in other cities. Surprise, one of his associates was busted, a wee after he was in, can you guess what city? Mine. This is the kind of stuff, El Presidente Bush, and corrupt mayors like Antonio Villaragossa, Los Angeles, are perpetrating on an innocent American citizenry when they have sanctuary cities and won’t find out who exactly is entering this nation and why. If you live somewhere you think is immune from all of this, it isn’t in the U.S. Not with Bush and his party the Democrats in charge.

This is not a race or immigration issue - this is a social issue. Kraft, you will find the same problems (murder) in communities that do not have mostly illegal immigrants.

This isn’t a fair comparison anyway. In order for it to be fair, Kraft, we should compare the number of citizens and legal residents and visitors with the number of illegal immigrants and compare murder rates. However, this often cannot be proven as law enforcement agencies often do not post nationality and legal status information.

    See this: http://www.snopes.com/politics/immigration/taxes.asp

Also see the explanation for more outstanding homicide warrants.

The issue with the men who killed the kids in New Jersey.

Also, the point of a hate crime is that offenders who kill BECAUSE of a hatred of an ethnic group suffer more than people who kill because of another motive as a way of keeping racists in check.

  9. Vic Mann on August 13th, 2007 12:20 am

EDIT: I’m sorry - I meant to say:

The issue with the men who killed the kids in New Jersey is the fact that they murdered kids, not because they are illegal. Citizens and legal immigrants could have easily committed the same crime.

ADD: Though, I would have the illegal immigrant beaten by his prison inmates, because he made illegal immigrants look worse (yes, they do violate immigration laws, but violations of immigration laws amount to peanuts compared to violations of murder laws). His actions will lead to more scrutiny and hardships in the lives of the people who came to the United States illegally in order to escape poverty in Latin American countries.

  10. Alex Dinoia on August 13th, 2007 1:18 am

Nonsense, Vic. If our immigration laws were enforced and our borders secured, these illegal alien murderers wouldn’t have been here to kill these American citizens. I doubt you would question that this was a hate crime if the perps were Nazi or KKK skinheads.

Illegal aliens commit a vast amount of crime as indicated by the fact that they make up about a third of the US prison population. Illegal aliens don’t just violate immigration laws. They steal jobs and benefits that rightfully belong to Americans and legal immigrants. Illegal aliens, being criminals, deserve as much scrutiny and hardship as possible until they leave. What part of ILLEGAL don’t you understand?

Smuggling goods for profit is a crime, and so is the smuggling of labor. The employers profit by paying less than a living wage while the rest of us suffer the economic and social costs.

The links in my earlier post give the lie to the politically correct myth that multiculturalists try to promote that diversity is our strength. ASSIMILATION is our strength. The plague of Latino racism besetting us is unacceptable. Instead of politically correct based denials and rationalizations about the nature of this problem, we should confront it head on. That would include denouncing groups like La Raza and Mecha that provide the ideology these gangs and others use to justify their hate toward other groups. E Pluribus Unum. The multicultural emperor has no clothes.

  11. Vic Mann on August 13th, 2007 1:35 am

Alex Dinoia, I will look at your reply and address it.

“Nonsense, Vic. If our immigration laws were enforced and our borders secured, these illegal alien murderers wouldn’t have been here to kill these American citizens. I doubt you would question that this was a hate crime if the perps were Nazi or KKK skinheads.”

Dinoia, someone else could have easily have killed those kids.

Also, I didn’t make that “hate crime” statement to say that the killers were not hate crime killers. I stated that to say why hate crime exists. If these morons committed hate crimes, then we should throw them in prison in life and leave them at the mercy of prison gangs.

I read that these people were arrested for violent crimes. Instead of focusing on illegal aliens, why don’t we focus on making sure that violent offenders stay in prison? If that was the case, surely these men would have never committed this crime. It would be a “bonus” if the men were illegal (force them into labor for prison and then deport the men when they are 60 or older). This way, we can focus on the illegal immigrants who actually cause trouble (as well as legal immigrants and citizens) and also tell illegal immigrants that they are much less likely to be deported if they are “good.”

    ———–

“Illegal aliens commit a vast amount of crime as indicated by the fact that they make up about a third of the US prison population. Illegal aliens don’t just violate immigration laws. Your source is? Where are the statistics? Who made the statistics?

    ——————–

“What part of ILLEGAL don’t you understand?”

I know that they are illegal, and I know who is hurt by illegal immigration (As well as who benefits).

Even though I understand that certain segments (no, not everyone) of the American population are hurt, I see that the American government will not change the status quo. It knows that, through illegal immigration, Social Security coffers will be filled (see http://www.ssa.gov/oig/ADOBEPDF/A-03-03-23038.pdf , which shows that illegal aliens and people with no Social Security no. contribute money to Social Security and cannot use it)

    XXXXXXXXXXXXX

To my knowledge, groups like Aztlan are morons with little representation.

And, I will tell you that previous generations of immigrants were quite similar to the immigrants we have now.

See, I have the beef. I have proof. This Snopes article tells all: http://www.snopes.com/politics/immigration/newimmigrants.asp

By the way, United States is a curious mix of multiculturalism AND assimilation. The U. S. needs some degree of assimilation to survive as a nation, but at the same time multiculturalism (different religions, languages at home, types of food, etc.) prevails on a different level.

    Hi Michael,

I see how someone play racism card make someone being populist and bigotry.
Why don’t you reflect the facts that the most sexual predators are W..That me most serial killers on this Country are W…
Don’t try to fulfill your joy with Xenophobic remarks that Illegals are the most Criminals on this Country. Be a fair Journalist show the real facts . This is a social issue that every City going thru even with Citizens. So why you commet on this case.
U.S. Citizen Drunk Driver ex-convicted twice killed a Mexican Citizen while sleeping on his Motel. Driving under the influence of alcohol more than 5 times (.046)of the limit level when the limit is only .08. Previous twice conviction was from Influence of alcohol while drive an operational motorist vehicle.

    Hope to see ya around.

  14. Jay on August 13th, 2007 12:15 pm

There are over twenty million illegal aliens in the country, all of whom are criminals. That makes them by far the largest source of crime in the country, Michael. The rule of law and our sovereignty are at stake.

“His actions will lead to more scrutiny and hardships in the lives of the people who came to the United States illegally in order to escape poverty in Latin American countries.”

So Again the illegals are the victims here?

“Why don’t you reflect the facts that the most sexual predators are W..That me most serial killers on this Country are W…”

And how is this in anyway connected to this story? Does it change the fact that these men should not have evn been walking our streets? Try to stay on topic.

“I see how someone play racism card make someone being populist and bigotry.”

Read around the site Michael and see my family and kids are hispanic as well, all legal immigrants having to deal with this bad stigma of these criminals.

So nice try with the predictible race card.

    “ASSIMILATION is our strength”

The US admits more LEGAL immigrants than any country in the world. We have no need for 1 million criminals a year to have a “mix”.

“Don’t try to fulfill your joy with Xenophobic remarks that Illegals are the most Criminals on this Country.”

18 US CODE Section 1325 US Immigration laws. They sneak across because they know its against the law. They are criminals, they knew it when they came. So why act surprised when a US citizen calls them what they are?

  16. Michael Kraft on August 13th, 2007 12:41 pm

And I visited your website. A Video of the minutemen dancing, then you say “see how ignorant they are”.

Then you want to talk race? He exists because he wants laws enforced, that isnt about race.

Those who want laws ignored must be criminals themselves.

But again, in America you are entitled to even that opinion.

11 Billion dollars for new jails in California, 17000 illegal inmates and 7000 more locally - Video below CNN

In LA County 95% of all warrents for Homicide are for illegal immigrants, 67% of all felony Warrants (17,000 total warrants)
NYTimes reported 23% of all jail inmates are deportable illegals.
    http://www.snopes.com/politics/immigration/taxes.asp

“In the population study of a sample of 55,322 illegal aliens, researchers found that they were arrested at least a total of 459,614 times, averaging about 8 arrests per illegal alien. Nearly all had more than 1 arrest. Thirty-eight percent (about 21,000) had between 2 and 5 arrests, 32 percent (about 18,000) had between 6 and 10 arrests, and 26 percent (about 15,000) had 11 or more arrests. Most of the arrests occurred after 1990. ”

    Hi Michael,
I am glad you visited my site and i am an advocate to enforce the U.S. Laws but in a proper way rather people taken actions on their own hands.
And how is this in anyway connected to this story? Because you mixed a subject crime then spinned off with Unlawful Immigration, crime and Gangs. And regarding Xenophobia. Are you classified every person who broken the law Criminal?

  19. Michael Kraft on August 13th, 2007 4:16 pm

“I am glad you visited my site and i am an advocate to enforce the U.S. Laws but in a proper way rather people taken actions on their own hands.”

I agree wholly and glad we can find this common ground as americans first.

This is also a homeland security issue.

We block our borders from illegal crossings to protect ourselves against killers.

Even if it is just 1 in 1,000,000….it is still 1 killer that didnt need to be here.

This is why we have such laws.
they are there to stop insane terrorists…AND at the same time to keep out ’simple common killers’ like these men.

This means 1,000,000 honest Mexicans looking for work cant come over either, because of the 1 or 2 obvious killers coming with them.

This is why they need go through OUR customs system.

OUR custom system is our own business, and need be run however americans want it run.

No outside country should have any opinion or influence on OUR system. Our system is in place to serve ONLY Americans and legal residents.

This means coming here legally, so this 1 in 1 million isnt on our streets murdering americans.

1 American life saved is far more important than 10,000,000 jobs filled.

If those coming here illegally dont agree with that, they need to be reminded that it really isnt any of their business.

US government is in place to best serve and protect Americans and legal residents from other countries.

This includes the 1.7 Million LEGAL residents that come here EVERY YEAR.

(more than any nation on earth)

I didnt really spin anything, as I said at the start, ” i dont know how to spin this balanced, because it was what really happened”.

Multiple felony and previously deported illegal aliens lined up and murdered 3 Americans in new Jersey.

    It is what happened.

The sanctuary status in New Jersey made it much easier for them to remain on New Jersey streets…that too is true.

Are they killers BECAUSE they are illegals? NO. They are just killers.

With tight border enforcement would these kids be alive? Very likely yes.

During the time I took to type this did another future killer cross the border? Likely yes as well.

There is a reason immigration laws have been around and basically the same for decades.

Because they are needed to have a safe and law abiding society.

All my favorite people are latino…most everyone I mix with is.

But the law is the law, and a good American of any color needs to put America ahead of their own special interests.
This is why 49% of hispanics in Arizona voted against the DREAM act and in state tuition for illegals. (72% of all voters also did)

Best wishes from NC, I hope you are your family live long and happy with your beliefs and goals.
Everyone has the right to an opinion and to lawfully express it.

Stop over and take the compass test, would like to see where you land on the net result of the issues.

Who deleted my reply to Alex Dinoia? I’m going to repeat the gist of it.

    1. I was not saying that the incidents were not hate crime. Also, the comparison is not fair, as we do not know if illegal immigrants commit a greater share of crimes.

    2. Dinoia, where are the facts? Where is the beef?

    3. Do not use this to try to clamp down on illegal immigration in general. This would be expensive and would lead to backlashes from businesses. Dinoia, there is a reason why the status quo exists: illegal immigration benefits segments of the American population and harms other segments (especially college dropouts).

I heard that the crooks had been arrested/convicted of crimes before but were released/put on bail. Why not toughen sentences for violent offenders? Put illegal immigrant prisoners in forced labor until 60 and then release them. That way, we can tell illegal immigrants that they have a slimmer chance of being caught if they are “Good.”

Look for the illegal immigrant articles on Snopes. The articles paint a truer picture of illegal immigration.

  21. Michael Kraft on August 13th, 2007 4:24 pm

I havnt removed any posts, you have polite and decent counter points. I would never remove anyone wanting to debate or discuss tastefully as you do.

  22. Vicman on August 13th, 2007 4:31 pm

“Even if it is just 1 in 1,000,000….it is still 1 killer that didnt need to be here.”

And how much will it cost to remove those 1,000,000, if you are going to aim a program against illegal aliens? Why not instead focus on punishing the 1 to set an example for the other 999,999?

We could even make a propaganda video for that to show to other countries. We could show a violent illegal offender forced into prison labor. He gets to keep NONE of the money, and his family and friends get NONE of the money. When he is an old man, the prisoner is deported and has no prospects for any jobs.

“1 American life saved is far more important than 10,000,000 jobs filled.”

Considering economics and the pro-business climate of Capitol Hill, the establishment would allow for one additional murder (American citizen or no) for 10,000,000 jobs. Think of the murders that could happen if the jobs don’t exist ( ;) ) - And if you say I have no sources for that statement, there are no sources either for any figure stating that X illegal immigrants will kill Y citizens.

Before getting into a tizzy about misconduct of illegal immigrants, think about realistic political solutions. It is easier to punish violent offenders than to go after illegal immigrants with federal money.

Anyway, consider making a propaganda video showing violent illegal immigrant offenders toiling in prison and then being released with no money in Mexico (or El Salvador, or Nicaragua, or Romania, or whatever country) as old men with no job prospects and no chance of a good living.

  23. Vicman on August 13th, 2007 4:35 pm

“I havnt removed any posts, you have polite and decent counter points. I would never remove anyone wanting to debate or discuss tastefully as you do.

Oh - Maybe I forgot to post it or something - I guess it was my mistake, then. Sorry about that :)

  24. Michael Kraft on August 13th, 2007 4:40 pm

    You misunderstood
“And how much will it cost to remove those 1,000,000″

I didnt say to chase them all, just enforce current laws.

If you really want to end the problem, allow companies to sue competitors. Let the lawyers go on tv and say

“IS YOU COMPETITION HIRNING ILLEGALS TO STEAL YOUR CONTRACTS? CALL US NOW!”

You would see companies take care of the problem real fast.

Or the IRS can release the SS# of employees to ICE, which they refuse to now, so they can look for fakes and fraud.
They know this would work so the current government wont do it.

Easy hiring and jobs made them come on their own, so remobve the jobs, jail and sue employers and let it turn the tide around naturally.

and meanwhile, Deport every illegal that is arrested immediately.

If every illegal arrested for a crime or pulled over for speeding is identified (not that hard to do), and deported the same week, we could turn back the tide as well.

There is no reason why every law enforcement agency does not have deportation authority.

Its common sense that every person arrested should be checked and immediately dealt with.

and the economic impact is a myth, those that would be impacted the most are the companies hiring and exploiting them anyways.

If landscaping, house builders and construction companies all go under, that is a result of the crimes of their management.

  25. Michael Kraft on August 13th, 2007 4:45 pm

    What is more,
Raid suspected companies every month, any company found with a significant illegal workforce should be closed permanently and disolved.

Time to put the fear into those that hire and exploit illegals and help this problem grow.

Force landlords to submit SS# or all tennents to be checked for validity.

And like in del Rio, Jail those caught crossing for 6 months before deporting them, put them to work building the wall that congress made a law…and never got built.

there are alot of common sense steps that can be taken to naturally turn this pattern back.

  26. Vicman on August 13th, 2007 4:48 pm

I’m okay with deportation of non-violent offenders (non-violent offenders who do not show up for court meetings, “collaterals” caught by police looking for specific fugitives, etc.).

For illegal immigrants who commit violent crimes or who drive automobiles with no licenses (especially those who cause accidents - there is no excuse for an illegal immigrant to drive a car with public transportation and legal friends), they need punishment in the U. S. system. Immediate deportation would allow for them to come back to the U. S. via a coyote or fake papers. Let the violent offenders go into forced labor and then, when they are old men, deport them. This will be a measure that brings revenue into the U. S. It will also punish the illegal immigrants by stealing the prime years as a punishment for causing violent crimes in the United States.

  27. Michael Kraft on August 13th, 2007 4:56 pm

The more we exchange..the further to the right you move and further left I move.

We have almost come to a meeting point in the middle.

If we permanantly deal with those caught, which means a true border built, then the problem will be very manageable.

Ignoring the problem, and FAKE government fixes are very transparent as we see today.

Its never been about the people, but the lack of effort to enforce an important law.’Thats why I go after the congressmen and mayor more than just the perps.

Im going out to kick the soccer ball con mi nina bella, chao y gracia por toda.

  28. Vicman on August 13th, 2007 5:01 pm

By the way, here is Richard Geib’s thoughts about anti-illegal immigrant legislation in California in the 1990s: http://www.rjgeib.com/biography/inner-city-blues/response8.html

Geib taught in a Los Angeles inner city middle school. He hated being caught in the middle by pro-illegal immigrant forces and anti-illegal immigrant forces.

” I never could get myself to agree with either the pro-Latino or anti-immigrant forces which both were so strident and vociferous. In fact, I considered them as nothing less than the Scylla and Charybdis of California politics!”

So, perhaps the lesson from this is that people of all sides should work together to try to find the best solution to deal with issues such as this. :)

Also, I read in Texas Monthly that a Texas Congress member thought of this solution as a way to relieve prison populations: Let out non-violent offenders such as drug users, parole violators, etc. to make room for violent offenders (such as the men who killed the kids in Newark).

Michael here’s the latest atrocity committed by illegal aliens who raped and murder a young American woman. Just got it from alipac. Apparently the lamestream media is trying to ignore. I sent it this link out to everyone in my address book. I urge everyone else to do the same. Let’s force the lamestream media to cover this by embarrassing and shaming them. Oh, wait, the lamestream has no shame.

Michael, before I am going to do something more constructive i want to said this.

But the law is the law, and a good American of any color needs to put America ahead of their own special interests.
My major concerns is most of this wave of Xenophobia and proteccionism has been increased the racism against Latinos specially Mexicans when the problem of Illegal Immigrations are from Countries from all over the World. Not too far Canada.

Michael, Latin Americans generally, and Mexicans particularly account for more than 50% of illegal immigration. Mexicans have been invading and colonizing America by the MILLIONS for DECADES. The majority of Mexicans believe in the Reconquest of the Southwest. Requiring the enforcement of our laws, the control of our borders, and the securing of our sovereignty is the right and patriotic thing to do. Characterizing this as “xenophobia” and “protectionism” is a cop out.

Vic, here’s another perspective from California.

Be sure to read the hate mail from Latinos sent to Terry about the New Jersy murders.

There is so little understanding of human psychology by so many people. As illegal immigration is tolerated and played around with by liberal/progressives, greedy conservatives, liberatarians, etc. the United States is viewed as a lawless nation by many. Those illegal aliens, whether wanted for a serious crime or not, who have been deported and keep coming back, are becoming more and more disdainfull of this nation and filled with hate. I have heard this expressed in many places. When the laws of a nation are not taken seriously, especially by those supposedly in charge, then that nation is heading for serious trouble. You can cry about it, dispute it, the evidence is all around. Ex. Welfare fraud, tax fraud, identity theft, Mexican and other drug rings increasing, and lying stealing and cheating by elected representatives and the business community. Any Amnerican looking for some leader like Hillary, Gulianni or any other person to fix this stuff is deluded. Americans have the capabiltiy to fix it, even they demand, in huge numbers that it be fixed. None of the empty suits or skirts now running for President are going to do this on their own. Forget it.

The kids sending hate mail to Anderson are probably bored teenagers. They would have more of a profound impact if they gave Anderson some respect and used the English language to make them command authority.

I recently graduated from high school in Houston. I understand that an education will allow for a person to live a full life on many levels.

As for my personal attitude towards illegal immigration: I have no strong feelings towards the practice. There are some parts of Houston that have large amounts of illegals, and there are spots where day laborers regularly sit by the freeway. Yet, I sigh and move on to my destination when I see them.

Now, regarding tenant checks for landlords, I don’t think that would work in Houston. There are a lot of incredibly low rent and shady apartment complexes on the southwest, southeast, and north sides of the city. These complexes do not check for criminal records. The federal government would be at a loss on how to deal with all of the shady apartment complexes in various cities.

On the other hand, I think punishing people like the New Jersey killers sends a profound message to everyone on multiple levels. It shows our disdain for reckless murderers. Forcing the men to make license plates for the rest of their lives will be just deserts (”deserts” is a word, spelled like the arid “desert” and pronounced like the sweet “dessert,” meaning a reward or punishment).
