Ron Paul’s 1st TV Commercial
Ron Paul is perhaps opening up his chest of funds just a drop?
Ron Paul’s first TV ad for the presidency can now be found on Youtube.
The ad takes the brief 30 seconds and uses it to stress the fact that his has integrity above all else.
Ron Paul is marketing himself like a Democrat and pointing out that if you want change, then he is not the institution.
The difference is that he is telling the truth, and he truly represents what he preaches….
….which is change and reform.
The fact is, if you want a candidate that you can relate to, shake his hand and feel like he understands the perspective of common Americans….then both sides R & D have no other candidate quite like Doctor Paul.
Ron has a real chance at finishing top 2 in Iowa, he has shown the ability to mobilize in rural areas perhaps better than all the others. he needs the TV coverage of a victory or top 2 finish to get the buzz stirring.

Key points he puts in his ad?
They point out that he has never voted to raise taxes.
Ron Paul he has never voted himself a pay raise.
Ron Paul refused his congressional pension.
He promises to secure the borders and to make sure you don’t have to sacrifice one bit of liberty to be free and secure.
A simple message is the sound of a true “change vote”, lets hope he gets a chance to honor us with his service.

What sentiment about the war best describes your views?

I like a lot of what you have written on Ron Paul but this one comment puzzles me.
“Ron Paul is thinking like a Democrat and pointing out that if you want change, then he is not the institution.”
I dare say that Ron Paul thinks like a Republican/Libertarian.
If you are referencing JFK’s famous
“Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.”
Then I get your premise. Lets just say that JFK was thinking like a Libertarian when he made that speech.
I mean he is using the desire for change to build his following.
The diference is that he will back up the change he preaches, and Ron Paul doesnt just promise change to win votes, but to really accomplish true reform.
Being a candidate for change is not just a line when Dr. Paul delivers it.
His voting record and lifes work show he is legitimate in his desire to reform government waste and errors.
Dems use “public desire for change” to win voters as well.
No other similarities of course.
I guess it is pretty insulting to be grouped with liberals, he has nothing in common with liberal dems other than one thing that appeals to some voters….which is change.
I clarified that sentence a bit, I hated to have anyone think I was calling him a Dem.
He is just building momentum in the voters that want to “throw the bums out“.
He is so natural when he speaks, that its hard for him not to appeal to common voters.
Heres another Libertarian/reform/republican I was just doing some digging on, funny to see how he thinks like Ron Paul in his campaign

OK I understand your meaning. It was just a little confusing. Thanks for clearing that up. Keep up the good work. Regards
Ron is like getting to vote for change against the current GOP, and you still get to sleep well at night knowing you voted for the GOP.
Tis must be why the rest of the GOP candidates stare at him on stage when he speaks like hes a friend and an enemy at the same time.
I think they are all alergic to common sense.
If the GOP has any political instincts at all left after their bad case of the neo-cons they will nominate Ron Paul as their candidate for President.
Mitt Romney for instance still clearly tries to link Iraq to 9-11. That may have been the bill of goods that was sold to us before the start of the war but the facts have not panned out, and we were clearly duped into support of that war expansion.
I think they now minimize the fact that the Baathist, and the Shia, far out number this scraggly little Al-CIAda in Iraq bunch and when we leave they will simply clean the streets of them.
We should make sure everyone is armed in the country and just leave it to a 2nd amendment type of situation and things will work themselves out without our needing to intervene. That is my opinion anyway.
Well, I agree.
I think the others are pretty decent, all better than Hillary in so many ways.
Mitt is smart enough to be my guy.
Rudy is tough enough to be my guy.
Thompson is Conservative enough to be my guy.
Huckabee is Sincere enough to be my guy.
Tancredo is insane enough to be my guy.
Hunter is honest enough to be my guy.
McCain ….I wouldnt hit my brakes if he was crossing the street.
But I only get one, Ron Paul is the most well rounded and seemingly sincere and seasoned politician of the bunch.
If he runs short, which he likely will…I only hope he has made the eventual winner see what all his supporters liked about him, and how impotant those attributes are to us voters.
I am sorry Michael but this one made me laugh.
“Rudy is tough enough to be my guy.”

Tell me does this look like a tough guy to you? Talking tough is like playing dress up you can make yourself out to be what ever you want.
haha…Ive seen that, and he has a SNL one too i think with Trump.
Im a New Yorker originaly, So we think of ourselves as “middle finger throwin’ toughguys”.
If I needed one of the candidates throwing a ’sucker punch’ or two, Ill take the New Yorker.
Maybe pop culture has worked on me a little bit, but I like Rudy, hes a likeable guy. Like Peyton manning, he has a serious job but likes to goof off.
On SNL, in movies…he seems cool.
All policies and history aside, he seems cool and likeable. It worked on me a bit.
One man’s cool is another man’s fool I suppose.
You’re from New York originally and you still like Rudy? After all his profiteering from 9/11 and lying about firemen “Ignoring” evacuation commands, I can’t name a single New Yorker who still has any respect for this guy. But I understand you said policy and history aside ….
But likable? Do you remember how he treated the press or anyone who disagreed with his policies when he was mayor? Maybe you didn’t live in NY when Rudy was mayor … but I did. “Likable” was not a word you heard in the same sentence as “Rudy” very often.
In either event, I am glad to see another positive Ron Paul post on this site. Thanks for that. We could really use your support in the Charlotte meetup group if you can make it to one of our upcoming meetings. Our last meeting was very productive and we laid the groundwork for some great things to come. Having a local member of the media on our side (even if not MSM) would be very helpful, so please try to make it if you can!
Upstate…so i didnt get the full dose of your realities mentioned.
Like I said, perhaps its just a rare case of pop marketing working on me, though I thought I was immune to it.
I am a member of the group already to keep up on things around Charlotte for Ron Paul, but a busy family man I am, and many of the meetups are south Charlotte. I am waiting for the North Charlotte Huntersville meetup event to take a peek.
I invite any members of the meetup to write about Ron paul for our site. Any somewhat objective piece about his record and facts to his worth as a candidate I would happily give a page to.
Mike
We do have to try and see the best parts of Rudy, like wanting free markets in health care to counter clinton-communist-care rhetoric.
In the end he may be our lesser of two evils, which means try and see the good points.
I would hate to vote for the lesser of evils,.. but clinton is so socialist-smug that I would sooner vote for Bush again than her.
The following are a couple of Rudy Giuliani quotes from when he was just a mayor:
“Freedom is about authority.”
“Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do.”
That, to me, is completely incompatible with Ron Paul’s message, and with the notions of freedom and liberty.
More recently, he stated that Bush can bypass Congress to fund the Iraq war as a part of his “…inherent authority to support the troops.”
Oh really? Last I checked my handy old pocket Constitution, the power to fund -anything- rests with the Legislative branch. Does Rudy not know this, or does he deliberately ignore it? I am leaning towards the latter, which makes me even more leery of supporting this guy if he should happen to get the GOP nomination.
I understand that One Nation Under Hillary sounds like just about the worst thing that can happen. On the other hand, One Nation Under Rudy would probably not be a whole lot different. Both are big government liberals cut from the same mold.
If Ron Paul does not get the nomination, I really have no idea who I will support, and it doesn’t really matter because the outcome will be the same no matter what.
