Who Said That?
Here is a little chunk from personal quotes and thoughts of a great American I came across.
These quotes are from an American who has a background that would qualify ‘him/her’ to be president. These are from a high ranking elected official who was also a decorated military hero. This person actually would ‘on paper’ be more qualified than 90% of the candidates.
You will be reading these and perhaps thinking these are the thoughts and actions of Ron Paul, as they push for smaller transparent government and simplification.
Like Ron Paul, this person pioneered the use of the internet to build a voter base
This person is politically in the middle, though with many ideals of freedom and free market that conservatives would relate to.
Perhaps this person would make Dr. Paul an interesting Vice President. (half kidding)
I think you will be surprised and impressed at the bottom to see who brings you these quotes and thoughts on government.
This person is neither a Democrat nor Republican.
Mystery American Said:
“Illegal immigration is just that, illegal. We owe those individuals who are illegally in the US emergency medical treatment when it is needed, but no education benefits, financial assistance or other benefits that all legal immigrants and US citizens are entitled to. American citizens pay for their benefits through taxes illegal immigrants do not. If we provide free services to illegal immigrants, our actions encourage and support illegal activity, rather than discourage or punish it. ”
“I don’t take bribes. In fact I recommend it to all politicians. You sleep well. And you don’t have to go to those God-awful fundraisers, and pretend you are aware of some lobbyist’s problem that you’ve never heard of. ”
“A government too complex, too mysterious, is also too inaccessible. It unnecessarily excludes the people who form it.”
“War isn’t civilized. War is failure. It’s the ultimate result of a breakdown in public policy, and soldiers are the machines that handle that breakdown. In warfare, you’re taught to do whatever you have to, to stay alive. ”
“In addition, existing laws pertaining to campaigns and elections need to be reviewed and amended to allow for full participation by credible third parties. ”
“We need to talk about making PAC contributions illegal. Candidates pay attention to whoever coughs up the cash. If the only sources of funding they have are the people, then candidates will have no choice but to listen to us.”
“The Constitution guarantees us our rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That’s all. It doesn’t guarantee our rights to charity.”
“I’d like to work on having every fourth year become a year in which no laws are made, but the old laws are reviewed, updated, or deleted as needed. That way we won’t get endless, obsolete laws piling up on the books. ”
“I put all the city council meetings on public TV, over the good old boys’ objections. Exposure creates an educated, involved public, which isn’t in the interests of the old-boy network. The smaller the number of people involved, the more power the incumbents have.”

I think Walter Williams would be better.
Im not calling for “the Body” to be a VP candidate, just found it odd how similar he is to Ron Paul on many things.
I wonder what Dr. paul thinks of
Jesse “I aint got time to bleed” Ventura?
I lived in MN while Ventura was running. I was a (Libertarian) candidate for US Congress myself at the time.
Candidate Ventura was great, very libertarian.
Governor Ventura was horrible, the very epitome of liberal.
One could make the argument that the bridge collapse in minneapolis this week was due to transportation monies being spent on light rail, and other mass-transit projects instead of on Hwy maintenance during the Ventura administration.
Jesse Ventura was one of the main cheerleaders for the light rail line. In short, his rhetoric, doesn’t match his actions. I think he would be a terrible Veep candidate.
I would much prefer Walter Williams, Michael Badnarik, or even my cat, Charlie… really, just anyone else.
Thanks for the inside knowledge. Didnt know too much about him, but liked what I found online.
Jesse Ventura was a lousy congressman, and never did get re-elected. Ron Paul is a Great congressman who has been re-elected.
Congressman?
He didn’t run for reelection.
