Amnesty For Hillary Clinton
In a recent AP article, Hillary Clinton returns the $850,000 raised by the wanted criminal for her campaign. After repeated warnings about the “Hill-raiser’s” past, she finally months later decides to return the money. Norman Hsu, who is under federal investigation for allegedly violating election laws is the target of the investigations.
Where did Hill-dogs biggest fan get all this cash to help her win the white house?
“He admitted to defrauding investors of $1 million in a bogus investment scam in 1991″ - Fox news.
He then skipped bail and didnt appear in court for these charges. Again, he has done the same leaving behind 2 million in bail money to run from charges.
The price is pretty high for a future presidential pardon these days. But the good news is that she wouldn’t accept money from any other criminals,….uh oh…..roll that back.
The AP reports her as some form of hero for giving back 2% what is the type of fundraising practice that has given her the edge in advertising money to win the office of President.
Clinton raised over 26 million dollars in the first 3 months alone in 2007. And 52 million from individual contributors in the first 6 months. One of the top contributors of them all is the man you can see in handcuffs on papers across America this week.
So the gesture being spun as a positive, equals about 5 days worth of fundraising money in her campaign.
One can only wonder that if this is collected from one illegal contributor, how much is left undiscovered?
What has been going on the other 250 days of fundraising in 2007?
Shall we take a look at the other 51 million dollars?
The AP spins the story below, as if returning the money makes her a pioneer in honesty.
“In returning $850,000 to donors associated with a disgraced fundraiser, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton sets a significant new standard for how campaigns should respond in the face of potential scandal.
Clinton’s decision also underscores the price — financial and political — that her campaign is paying for failing to spot trouble with the fundraiser, Norman Hsu, even after receiving a warning. The campaign announced it would now conduct background checks on its fundraisers, an extraordinary and potentially time consuming step.
By returning the money, Clinton also puts pressure on presidential rivals and other politicians with rainmakers who have dubious pasts or who have employed questionable fundraising tactics, including the campaigns of Barack Obama and John Edwards.”
I really enjoyed this final line of the story. Nothing is more leftist/communist than deflecting your own shortcomings by badmouthing your competition when cornered.
This is the same liberal thing we see everyday in congress when discussing the low ratings and unpopularity of President Bush, who has a 32% approval rating.
Ooops but wait, congress has a 19% approval rating, the lowest in recorded history.
“Hi pot, this is the kettle,….your black.”
No connection with this criminal has been established in Obama’s or Edward’s campaign, but somehow Hillary standing accused, finds a way to include their names. We can only wait and see if the highest office in the land will someday have this flavor of integrity.
