An article on associatedcontent.com points out one facts that libs and pro-amnesty special interest gorups don’t mention in their attempt to build public sympathy for illegal immigrant students.

Every year students apply to a number of colleges for acceptance. Most student apply to perhaps 3 colleges to have a first choice, second choice and fallback option in place.

Many students understand they will not be getting their first choice but hope there is room for them to get in.

Well, how does a million less seats sound for future high school graduating Americans?

A 18 year old Hispanic American friend of our family with a 4.2 GPA failed to get into UNC charlotte architecture program this past year and was told the is limited spaces available (but did get into the engineering program).

The point is that many top universities don’t have room for even the best of the best of Americans.

DREAM act activists don’t point out that colleges will not be getting any larger and the limited number of seats will mean that every opportunity “for the DREAM” that is handed to an illegal Mexican, or Honduran or Chinese illegal immigrant is also one more American student being told he is not accepted because there is no room for him.

College opportunities are not a bottomless pit that is endless and vast, this is yet another resource American’s will be forced to share with criminal aliens.

Any person would hate to deny opportunities to any child of ability, as I would too, but it is the responsibility of the US government to put Americans ahead of citizens of other countries. Not one American should be denied a single opportunity when it is handed away to foreigners in our own universities.

Opportunities that legal foreign students with legal student visas do not receive.

At what point did our government put Americans and legal immigrants second?

Schools in the most liberal states like California and Arizona will soon be filling with DREAM act illegals.

These schools have very low state tuitions as compared to eastern states. Many low income easterners can not afford the colleges in their state and would love to be able to goto the cheaper schools in the west for instate costs.

Will anyone offer America’s poor citizens this same DREAM?

Does this not mean US government and State schools will give better opportunities to criminal aliens than to our own children that may not be able to afford college in their home state?

To these figures below keep in mind that worker wages in California are 12% higher than the national average as per the department of labor. A student paying less tuition and working in a state where he has more total money to go around.

California State Universities
$3,284 in-state - AFTER WAGE COVERSION ($2889.92)

SUNY New York
$4,350

Michigan State Universities (does any state have more need?)
$7,600 in-state

Ohio State Universities
$8,430 in-state <>

Students in states of the midwest and eastern states pay what is equal to out of state costs in their own state. These student could use the benefit of lower cost college more than criminals.

We have enough poor high school aged AMERICANS that can’t afford college in their expensive state. We could be offering these in state prices to our OWN lower class and not the lower class of other countries.

American children would be forced to compete with these illegal aliens for what are already limited spots in state universities. ”

If a studen isn’t accepted to his/her university of choice, then find another one. Because you know what that means?? that they just werent good enough for the college. If someone “takes” your spot, well that just means you have to work harder doesn’t it??

You havn’t explained to me why Criminal aliens should get federal loans and work study programs that STUDENT VISA HOLDERS who followed the law are not allowed to get?

DREAM makes it better to be an illegal than legal student.

Explain to me how that is fair to the real immigrants.

Also explain how criminal aliens should get to attend low cost schools that Americans in other states can’t get into for in state cost when they too need the low cost admission?

You tell the American students and the HONEST STUDENT VISA holders why a criminal alien deserves what they do not get offered?
