More Amnesty Coming
Good morning friends and supporters of the campaign
H.R. 1645 is moving through Congress. It has been submitted to subcommittee hearings. The bill was introduced in March and has made its way though several subcommittees. It has now progressed to the subcommittee hearings which in short means the bill is still alive.
On March 22, 2007, Reps. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) and Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.) introduced the Security Through Regularized Immigration and a Vibrant Economy (STRIVE) Act of 2007 (H.R.1645), a comprehensive bill similar to the McCain-Kennedy proposal passed in the Senate in 2006. The bill called for a more expansive “guest-worker” program, something heavily advocated by President George W. Bush, Ted Kennedy, Lindsey Graham, John McCain, Dick Durbin and others.
S1639 has been resubmitted to the calendar and will return for consideration
These are but 2 additional attempts at providing Amnesty for illegal aliens. We must be vigilant since the Senators who promoted the failed amnesty bill this past summer are working to resubmit the bill in various forms. Lindsey Graham said while visiting Columbia that since the immigration bill failed they (Congress) would have to get the bill passed in piece meal fashion. There are numerous immigration related bills attempting to get through Congress.
We need to be able to elect our leaders and not have to become Senatorial watchdogs because they continue to promote and pursue policies we have clearly told them we are against. Changing the title of a bill or the primary focus of a bill which contain a majority of a previous failed bill is a common attempt at passing bad law. Trying to pass amnesty and immigration reform by calling it an Agriculture bill, a vibrant economy act or an alien child protection bill is like trying to pass pig meat off by calling it bacon or calling it sausage, you can call it by several names but it still comes from a pig.
Be alert to any news regarding the above bills so that we can once again require our leaders in both houses to hear our voice.
On a more positive note H.R. 1940 introduced by Rep Deal of Georgia,
Birthright Citizenship Act of 2007 - Amends the Immigration and Nationality Act to consider a person born in the United States “subject to the jurisdiction” of the United States for citizenship at birth purposes if the person is born in the United States of parents, one of whom is: (1) a U.S. citizen or national; (2) a lawful permanent resident alien whose residence is in the United States; or (3) an alien performing active service in the armed forces.
This is a bill we need to let our Representative and Senators know we support. This in effect tightens the anchor baby law to eliminate illegal aliens from crossing the border just to have a baby and then attempt to claim citizenship. I would amend this bill only by adding the word ‘legal’ in front of the word alien in number (3) so that it would read ‘a legal alien performing active service in the armed forces.’
Campaign update :
Our campaign to replace Lindsey Graham continues to grow. I need your continued support as we spend a few minutes each week letting other citizens know they have a choice. We continue to work towards our primary goal of reaching the amount required to pay the fees for ballot inclusion. This will require an amount in the $8,500.00 range. We are finding citizens interested in seeing this change happen that live not only in South Carolina but in Alabama, Connecticut, North Carolina, Texas and Arizona to name a few. I just got off of a phone call with a gentleman from Chicago. He and his wife are planning on retiring and moving to South Carolina and he was interested in the campaign. While individuals promising they will vote to see this change is high, in fact in the meetings I have attended the overwhelming majority of attendees have come to me after the meeting and voiced their support, the fact remains that our first task is to secure our place on the ballot.
Your effort, support, donations and time spent to spread the word are the critical components. Each of the 100 Senators not only represent their home state but their decisions and policies impact citizens throughout the country. This is one of the reasons we are finding citizen neighbors who want to be part of this effort. Thank you to each of you for what you have done, are doing and will continue to do. We are running a grassroots campaign and the effort requires a steadfast approach as we spread the base of awareness that voters have a choice.
Have a good afternoon

Today we have a group of uneducated (followers of fantacy world) who will oppose any measure to end the illegal immigration; till moderate leaders get a super majority in congress and then a real AMNESTY will finish this stupid fight over illegal immigration.
Mr. Lou Dobbs counted them as 5 - 6 million in Year 2004-05 , about 7 - 10 million in year 2006 and now we are talking about 12 - 20 million.
We are shouting and stopping anyone trying to help a house at fire; because it is someone else’s house, and the devil inside us enjoy seeing the disaster.
Thanks for spineless leaders, ignorant Christians & stupid TALK SHOW HOSTS for diverting the attention for political gain for a few.
United States of America is the Leader by nature because GOD made it so; this Great Nation struggle to survive in today’s world of competition because of some blind followers of the blind.
Hope to talk about 20 -30 million people when the real amnesty come to pass.
( they will cry then also for sometime & find some other reason to make funny noises. But they will not remember ( nor accept the responsibility for this mess ) the small numbers of the early stages )
Dear friends, if you don’t find help and get the right treatment, the cancer will not disappear on its own. I can imagine an Afghan woman saying to Dr. Sanjay Gupta that they can not show the skin to another male but they need a surgery.
