Romney Calls Osama Deluded
CHEROKEE, Iowa (AP) - Mitt Romney has a strong reaction to Osama bin Laden’s new videotape.
The Republican presidential hopeful called the terrorist leader the “face of evil” and “deluded” during a campaign stop in Iowa.
Romney said bin Laden’s ideas on Americans being coerced into converting to Islam weren’t in line with rational thought.
Romney also had strong words about Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. He said he should be indicted for incitation to genocide. He said if a nuclear weapon developed by Iran were used by terrorists, the U.S. would respond against the terrorists and Iran.
Speaking of the ongoing troop surge in Iraq, Romney said it’s working. But he said some lawmakers are so eager to declare defeat that they aren’t looking at the data.
