As we have already reported, The left leaning New York Times got caught showing the bias the right has long said existed.

Moveon.org, the extreme left “anti-war and anti-warhero” group took out a full page ad solely to insult the top US General in the Iraq battlefront.

Not $65,000 for global warming, or to fight cancer, or to support the arts…but spent to insult a 32 year military veteran in a national paper. I guess it’s not much money when Norman Shu is writing checks.

A man willing to put his life at risk in battle fighting for free-speech, 30 years serving America, and he gets this type of treatment from Democrats.

if you want to read about an American career of service, the bio of General David Petraeus here.

Moveon.org, liberal Democrat group, felt the need to take out a $65,000 ad to insult the War Hero.

The problem is that a full page ad in the New York Times costs $180,000 if you are a Republican.

To control the media is always the first act of socialists and communists when working into power.

The Washington Post reports this on their website:

“At a campaign stop in Atlanta, Giuliani vowed to take out a full page ad in the Times defending Petraeus against a MoveOn ad lambasting him as General “Betray Us.”

But Giuliani demanded that the Times give his campaign “the same rate, the discount, heavily discounted rate they gave MoveOn.org for that abominable ad.”

MoveOn said it paid $65,000 for the ad, far less than the standard $180,000 rate for a full-page ad. A Times spokeswoman told a Reuters reporter that the content of the ad was not considered and that there are many different rates for a full-page ad.

“The advertising folks did not see the content of the ad before the rate was quoted,” Times spokeswoman Catherine Mathis said.

A spokeswoman for Giuliani said the campaign is unlikely to buy a full-page ad at the standard rates, but is trying to point out that the Times should not be giving favorable treatment to a group like MoveOn.

Giuliani is also trying to make a point about Clinton, who he accused of calling Petraeus a liar during her questioning of him at a congressional hearing. Giuliani said her questioning of Petraeus was “typical” of the Clinton.

“Hillary Clinton, The New York Times, MoveOn.org should apologize for what they did,” Giuliani said. “Their excessive political view led them to character assassination.”

“Mayor Giuliani supports George Bush’s Iraq policy and believes it is working. Senator Clinton knows it isn’t and will keep up her efforts to end the war,” Clinton spokesman Phil Singer said. “She believes the best way to honor our heroes in Iraq is to bring them home.”

I would think Moveon.org could afford to pay full price with Felons like Norman Shu donating stolen money to the campaigns of liberals.

This was also an illegal in kind contribution to Moveon.org.
