Seattle PI The DREAM Rag
Look at this snippet of what the Seattle Post Intelligencer is passing off as honest news.
Such an amazing liberal propaganda rag that I can not contain my words.
One comment from a reader sums it up nicely:
“We just moved to Seattle few weeks ago. Now, after reading the PI for two weeks, we already know the reasons why we will one day move away - as soon as a better job comes. Holy cow! These people are left wing loons!”
They write about the great opportunity for America the DREAM Act represents, then they say how after 2 years of Military service they can earn legal status.
This is a lie of intentional omission, the leave out that you can also get legal status after 5 years by just lying and saying you’ve been here since age 15. You don’t need proof, but you can get a green card in 5 years and then petition to bring your whole family to move in too.
We should remember the track record of the millions that jumped our wall, evaded taxes and live in America for free illegally. The DREAM act puts these people on the honor system to getting more handouts from tax dollars.
They also leave out the student grants and loans the illegals will be getting, and also how a person who is 40 years old can get this instant amnesty by saying hes been here for 30 years hiding.
They also leave out that reduced documentation will be asked of the criminals since they have worked for cash in illegal jobs and have no tax return in most cases.
There is almost no situation that can’t be adapted to this program for amnesty. Anyone that SIMPLY APPLIES, with no hope of getting status, instantly gets conditional legal status while the case is pending. Any person anywhere can get instant temporary legal status just by applying.
“Four years ago, Washington state began to take its head out of the sand and create higher education options for the many children brought here by illegal immigrant families. The federal government needs to do the same, urgently.
The collapse of major immigration reform efforts will leave rubble in the way of major progress. But practicality, compassion and a concern for the nation’s economic and social future should prompt Congress and President Bush to tackle some immigration issues.
One priority is to create a path to citizenship for children of illegal immigrant families who have graduated high school. A bill, called the Dream Act, would allow high school grads legal status after two years of college or service in the military.”
The reason I had to post this is so the people of America can see the comments and see how honest Americans feel about this criminal amnesty.
Check out the comment section of this liberal rag and see how America feels. I don’t have to add the comments here, because you cant miss the 30 comments in a row opposing this amnesty for criminals. Not one reader of this rag can make one strong case or support this amnesty bill that congress is trying to force on Americans.

After enjoying a good laugh at that socialist dribble read our other post on this amnesty bill here.

”
Speaking of lies, you actually have to prove by school records that you came before you were 15. So why would you write an article on something you don’t know the facts on? Did you vote for Bush? Are you one of the sheep that helped us get in this Iraq mess?
What does Bush have to do with the crimes of 20 million people? Is that how you change the subject?
See you forget Bush supports this garbage too, so hes with you on this. Please stay on subject or go comment on a Bush hate site about that subject.
You think illegals and their children deserve US governent money for US colleges?
AND, you do not need school records to apply. When you apply you get instant legal status while the case is pending.
part of
SEC. 5. CONDITIONAL PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS. of the ACT.
You cannot be deported, and the government is not allowed to share your information even if you are illegal.
SEC. 9. CONFIDENTIALITY OF INFORMATION.
And dont forget they also get work-study programs, whcih LEGAL real immigrants can not get while here on legal work VISAS.
AND LASTLY - go read about how all American’s dont want this amnesty. Americans are what is important to American policies.
http://www.charlotteconservative.com/index.php/2007/08/hungry-strike-for-handouts/
And Even in Arizona, all Americans, hispanic too, voted this type of garbage down.
You completely distort the selection process of the DREAM ACT and continue to engage in Xenophobia and Bigotry. To defend one’s borders is reasonable but to equate children of illegals as prospective terrorists is unsound logic. Don’t forget that there are some homegrown terrorists (Walker, Timothy) on top of 9/11 terrorists who had legal status.
“but to equate children of illegals as prospective terrorists is unsound logic”
Who says terrorists? Where do you find that statement? Please don’t add words or change the subject as the previous poster did.
I say enforce the laws that are currently on the books and we would not face this question. Who gets to choose which laws will be ignored? Many americans face tax audits, speeding tickets, car insurance costs…..and we have to live up to the reponsibility of the laws.
So why do we let illegals cherry pick laws?
I can’t goto college in mexico, its a felony if I try to. I cant get a drivers license in mexico….its a felony if I try to.
I can’t march in the streets of Mexico with an American flag….its a felony if I try to (in the constitution).
You want to say biggot, well I say hypocrite..
I also say dont offer more incentive to come here.
All congress agrees its the incentive that causes illegal immigration.
So why offer more.
Its a lie to import lib voters and walmart shoppers.
How about we take all the loan money and work-study jobs and give it to inner city black youth that want to goto college?
There are plenty of Legal American minorities that could use that too. With all the needy honest Americans why is congress trying AGAIN to giv Us dollars to illegals who are citizens of another country?
What’s wrong with your people?! The government isn’t giving away free US money. Those kids will have to earn it, by hard work and diligence. And they are getting no more opportunities than the average Amerian student has. Plus, those kids are not criminals. They parents brought them here, so why would you not want to offer them a way to legality? Some people are just merciless bastards!
Dream Act???
Some of us once had dreams of our own.
Back in the 60’s the Federal Government came into the public schools and brainwashed us as little children with the message that the children we were about to have were unwanted because the population was rising so fast. They launched a program called, “Zero Population Growth”. They pushed Family Planning and birth control pills. Now they call the same programs, “Safe Sex” but the results are the same. I think you and I both know that you only have to trick people for their few child bearing years and there is no going back.
Many of us never had a say in the future of our unborn.
I am the result of two living cells. One from each of my parents. They are the result of two living cells, one from each of their parents. I wasn’t just born. I am a continuation of life. I am a living thing that reaches back into time perhaps 400 million years and the result of billions of joining of pairs of cells. It is possible that if you were to follow my cells back to my parent’s cells and beyond that my family tree touches every living thing here on earth. That is if we limit ourselves to believing life was created here on earth. If it rained down from the immensity of the universe it could reach back into that immensity of time and space, and who knows what relationships and who knows what species.
My family line succeeded, at least until I came up against the Federal Government and their plan to control the population.
I have seen the Federal Government do little else to control the population.
The open border, United States laws only apply to some, is a serious slap in the face. No, not a slap in the face, it reaches well beyond that. Maybe back to the beginning of time and stretch to the bounds of the universe.
!!!!&^& Michael Kraft. That’s all I have to say. Xenophobic pig!
^ Seattle PI Reader
haha Mike said “Its a lie to import lib voters and walmart shoppers” … do all hispanics shop at walmart? haha how stereotypical. Your wife and her side of the family must shop at walmart I suppose.
Anyways, people, Mike is not a racist, his wife is hispanic. He just hates people who commit crimes, like illegals.
If he was ever in the same situation as these people, hope he never is, he would never ever even think about going to a different country illegally, even if it meant no food on the table for his kids, no future for his family.
“Mike said “Its a lie to import lib voters and walmart shoppers” … do all hispanics shop at walmart? haha how stereotypical.”
No, but low income shoppers do. You should visit a Walmart in Charlotte. North Carolina is on the top 5 list of illegal immigrant growth and its blatent.
And, first generation immigrants are 77% Democrat voters, so that statement is entirely accurate although it was meant jokingly. By the third generation that figure is down to 55%, once they start to put America first perhaps?
And as I have said before regarding my feelings, its not even JUST the crime, but also the entitlement and demands.
No foreigner has a right to demand anything in America. Then to ad to the insult President Calderon is on TV blaming the US for racist sentiment and action towards ‘his’ people. Perhaps the blame for shortcomings and the blame for lack of opportunity should get placed where it belongs.
This article summed it up nicely.
“Maybe the illegal aliens who were brought here as children aren’t to blame. However, the problem with that line of argument is it assumes that not being given legal status is a punishment. But being a legal resident, much less a citizen, of the United States is a privilege—not a right for anyone born outside this country.
There are billions of children across the globe who are living in conditions much worse than illegal alien children in the U.S.—and for that matter even worse than in Mexico. There are also hundreds of thousands of foreigners waiting in line to come to this country legally. There is absolutely no reason why the children of parents who broke the law have any more claim to the blessing of living in America than they do.”
Lastly on the subject, two facts in my corner remain to trump all this mercy talk.
1. They are criminals, the laws that were put in place by our congress, INcluding Ted Kennedy. They violated these laws punishable by deportation.
2. The Majority of Americans oppose it.
So it is illegal and against the will of the majority, the two most important considerations when making laws.
You writing about something that you haven’t study enough. Nobody who is 40 can come forward. I belive that the age limit is 30 or 31. In adition to it, you do have to prove that you came to this country before your 16th birthday. I just have two wrods for you , Michael Kraft, you are an incompetent writer. “Such an amazing liberal propaganda rag that I can not contain my words. ” This is what I think about your article.
I see no age limit in the official text. Just minimum 5 years here and some high school records.
You are the third liberal to comment off topic with insults and no relevent argument.
Which is generally the approach of the left, to insult and not present a valid point that supports giving away citizenship to illegals above those who follow laws.
I still await a single pro-amnesty argument for why Americans should want to provide this amnesty.
How does this help honest Americans? which should be the concern of OUR government.
It does not.
I’ve been to a Walmart in Charlotte. It attracts low income shoppers. But that’s their business model.
We shuld not mind President Calderon, he is speaking to his nation, of course he’s talking tough. I mean don’t we see Bush talking tough to Americans all the time? It is the same thing, politics.
As far as blaming Americans for racism, well what did you expect? All you guys portray are illegals from Mexico, on TV and on the blogs. I mean the vigilante groups go settle at the border… you know what I mean? Even though you might say well a lot of people come from the border, when we single out a race or a natinality, we will always get the race card whether we like it or not.
And as the article says, it wasn’t the kids fault. But you retaliate by saying well no foreigner has the right to claim anything in America. Correct on your point. But that does not mean that we should not help. These kids have nothing but uncertainty awaiting if we send them back to their country. And we will never send them back home, our nation is not as uncompassionate as you might wish it was to others. Just look at the boys from Florida, the girl in Missouri, or the one in Washigton. As soon as their stories popped up on the media, the politicians give them deportation extensions. Even from Senators and representatives who oppose the Dream Act. You feel you are protecting America… but what are you protecting America from? students?
And there are millions of children across the globe in worse conditions. And again, you said “worse than Mexico” There you go singling out a nationality. I agree there are worse. However, if they lived next to America, like Mexico, they would be coming the same way as people from south of the border do.
“I still await a single pro-amnesty argument for why Americans should want to provide this amnesty.
How does this help honest Americans? which should be the concern of OUR government.”
Americans should want this amnesty because these kids could be some of the most productive if given the opportunity. They Dream Act does not give these kids Federal Aid. They will be paying in-state tuition, but they will have to cover the tuition with their own loans and money.
SEC. 11. HIGHER EDUCATION ASSISTANCE.
Notwithstanding any provision of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 1001 et seq.), with respect to assistance provided under title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 1070 et seq.), an alien who adjusts status to that of a lawful permanent resident under this Act shall be eligible only for the following assistance under such title:
(1) Student loans under parts B, D, and E of such title IV (20 U.S.C. 1071 et seq., 1087a et seq., 1087aa et seq.), subject to the requirements of such parts.
(2) Federal work-study programs under part C of such title IV (42 U.S.C. 2751 et seq.), subject to the requirements of such part.
(3) Services under such title IV (20 U.S.C. 1070 et seq.), subject to the requirements for such services.”
And also, some of the kids will likely join the Armed Forces, fight for America, because that’s the only nation they know. And we’re saying, No, you’re not an American because you were not born here or your parents did not bring you here legally? That just not makes any sense to deport these kids that feel American, are not legally, but that does not take away their feeling of being Americans. They want to be Americans, they want to be part of the future of America, not the downfall of it.
And also, the DREAM Act will just be picking the best of the best, not kids who have criminal records, not kids who did not graduate from High School… only the best, the ones who have stayed on track and away from trouble. So what’s the harm in that? What are he defending America from? Good students with good moral character and exemplenary lives…
Here are some of the kids the Act will help…
“A female student at Boston Latin Academy who has lived in the United States since she was
4 years old. She is fluent in English, French, and Portuguese and was among 3 seniors in
her class selected to mentor new students. She is determined to be the first member of her
family to attend college and become a lawyer.
A teenager studying at Dennis-Yarmouth High School in Cape Cod. He moved from the
lower-level classes he first attended when he arrived in the United States to advanced
placement classes in calculus, computer sciences, and robotics. He dreams of attending
college.
The DREAM Act provisions would enable a group of highly-qualified, ambitious young people
to contribute to our society by pursuing higher education or serving in the U.S. army.”
This is a lie of intentional omission, the leave out that you can also get legal status after 5 years by just lying and saying you’ve been here since age 15. You don’t need proof, but you can get a green card in 5 years and then petition to bring your whole family to move in too.
–Really? I have read the entire description and your claim was not found in it. Come on, here in the States you have to prove everything, “saying” is not going to cut it, it never has, documents, letters proof will be needed.
We should remember the track record of the millions that jumped our wall, evaded taxes and live in America for free illegally. The DREAM act puts these people on the honor system to getting more handouts from tax dollars.
–Ho can they evade taxes? We pay taxes on everything food, clothes, gas everything, can anyone “evade taxes” who has lived for free???
They also leave out the student grants and loans the illegals will be getting, and also how a person who is 40 years old can get this instant amnesty by saying hes been here for 30 years hiding.
—Grants? Like which one? If there are any dollars that they get they are privately funded not federal grants, they are donations not grants! Again “saying” is not proof!
They also leave out that reduced documentation will be asked of the criminals since they have worked for cash in illegal jobs and have no tax return in most cases.
—What about the cases that they do have a W2 (the majority I dare to state)???
There is almost no situation that can’t be adapted to this program for amnesty. Anyone that SIMPLY APPLIES, with no hope of getting status, instantly gets conditional legal status while the case is pending. Any person anywhere can get instant temporary legal status just by applying.
–The person must also prove that they meet the required rigid criteria, not just anyone will be eligible!
Your statements above are false, you should be better informed before making ignorant statements.
Well said Byron:

Another name caller with no point - deleted.
Gppd honest point Byron
“Even though you might say well a lot of people come from the border, when we single out a race or a natinality, we will always get the race card whether we like it or not.”
On this comment, i dont split hairs, we all know the main source of the problem. To try and be PC is just lying to ourselves. I am not seeing hordes of Irish in landscaping tshirts at the Wendys in my town, so we wont waste time on pretending we dont all knwo the source of the problem.
“Americans should want this amnesty because these kids could be some of the most productive if given the opportunity.”
Maybe they should, but they dont. In New Hampshire a Dream act wnet down in flames, filled with libs. In Arizona Prop 300 killed any sort of Dream act, filled with hispanics. Nobody wants or needs this except people in violation of laws.
So the whole world should share the money they have, but that doesnt happen either.
Thanks for the calm adult comments and views byron.
and to speak of ignorance and then say this
“–Ho can they evade taxes? We pay taxes on everything food, clothes, gas everything, can anyone “evade taxes” who has lived for free???”
Sales tax betsy? you are really in denial. Every year in April is that check you are stroking out to the government sales tax?
Is it sales tax that hurts so much every spring?
“What about the cases that they do have a W2 (the majority I dare to state)???”
The majority….really. And since the ones without a W2 have no record of being in the country how do you come up with that ‘fact’.
“And also, the DREAM Act will just be picking the best of the best, not kids who have criminal records, not kids who did not graduate from High School… only the best”
Are you suggesting we dont have enough LEGAL American’s that could use this opportunity and can’t afford it. Student in Michigan for low income communities would love to enjoy the low cost west coast public colleges with in state tuition…..
So why cant they? Why give this to criminals but not Americans from a part of the US that has high tuition….like NYC.
State schools in NY are 10 times the cost of Cali or AZ, but Americams cant just get instate pricing there.
Here is some clips from the university of California. Here are a few of your “Good students with good moral character and exemplenary lives…”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RM9uH4XgOmI
Maybe the exception of the rule, but you shouldnt assume so much. Here are crowds of the people you think deserve benefits that Poor Americans from other states cant get.
The acronym MEChA stands for “Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan.” or “Chicano Student Movement of Aztlan.”
I say let the American voters decide.
Call a popular vote on amnesty, so it can lose 70-30% and we can be done with this lie.
Let Americans decide for America, hard for even a leftist kook to argue with that logic.
“If he was ever in the same situation as these people, hope he never is, he would never ever even think about going to a different country illegally, even if it meant no food on the table for his kids, no future for his family.”
You know Byron I might I might not…..BUT I would not march in the streets, and call the local people “racists” if they dont give me what I demand.
Its not always the message but the way people say or demand it.
Many Americans lose all sense of Charity when they see marches with mexican flags in US streets, communist flags, threats of boycotts or phrases like “you cant make us leave”
What response would such ignorant acts expect when performed in another persons country?
What is an American supposed to feel when 100,000 mexican flags march in chicago, Ill , USA for La Raza whos motto is
“For La Raza todo. Fuera de La Raza nada!”
“All For The Race, Nothing for the others!”
Where you aware of this being the motto of the organization Our Senators are speaking to?
And then they call Americans racists and bigots.
im sorry for the good students, but if the roles were reversed they would understand.
No one should be supporting the Nightmare Act. The Dream Act is Amnesty for illegal aliens of all ages. If you are concerned about illegal immigration visit ALIPAC - Americans for Legal Immigration. We are taking action against the Dream Act right now. Please sign up for e-mail alerts and join in the Discussion Group to voice your opinion.
www.alipac.us
“What response would such ignorant acts expect when performed in another persons country?”
It appears that we repond with more ignorance.
I must say that you do not know if you would or would not demand and march the streets like some of the undocumented did. The truth is that if we were to ever be in a similar situation, who know would we would act, what we would do. You must never say never.
As far as the march and the flags and what not. Not all undocumented followed, if we say that there are 20 million undocumented in this country, only about 20 percent marched the streets according to the numbers of these marches. And so we put the remaining in the same catogory? as demanding individuals? And plenty of the people in these marches were citizens, permanent residents. And we must not forget that these were organized by citizens and people into politics looking untimately for some media attention.
So we loose our sense of charity for 3 to 5 million who marched and protested of the 20 million here illegally?
And about the race motto? What can you expect when they too feel singled out by most of the media? As I said before, when in this situation, the race card will always be pulled, and it is a problem, but we do not stop correct?
And the Americans voters cannot decide on their own. I mean, we voted Bush for a second term correct? What makes us believe that the american voters know whats best for this country? We might know what we want, but in large scale, in the biggest nation in the world, most of us do not know whats right for the future of this country.
I mean voters do not get to decide on wages, taxes, wars, bugets of the nation… why makes us believe we know what right or wrong in the case? Who made us experts? If we’re going to ask voters to vote on immigration, then we should vote on everything the government does. Everything.
And you’re welcome on the calm comments. You should try sometime and do the same.
“And you’re welcome on the calm comments. You should try sometime and do the same.”
I think I have had too much first hand experience, and experiences to have much patience left.
I think the theme that keeps getting overlooked is that illegal immigrants are not the victims of illegal immigration.
Americans are. Illegals knowingly broke US laws with the hope that they would get amnesty for the crime. The amnesty bills and congress are the “getaway car”.
No other nation in the world is even close to the US in the amount of allowed legal immigrants per year, so US charity need not be questioned.
“We might know what we want, but in large scale, in the biggest nation in the world, most of us do not know whats right for the future of this country.”
But we all know what is right for our lives and communities where the impact of the illegals is greatest. Hazleton Pennsylvania just tried to deal with it locally as it affected them and got called racists and bigots for wanting to enforce laws. Now they are supposed to pay millions to illegal immigrants for wanting to deport and remove them?
I think voters have a FAR CLEARER picture of illegal immigration than does congress, since we actually interact in the places where it is the most obvious.
I suggest you visit the prenatal center at Meyers park hospital in Charlotte, a place congress will never see, and a place where english is a thing of the past.
Again, lets try to remember that illegals are not the victims of the crime as TV likes to pretend, they are the criminals.
“What can you expect when they too feel singled out by most of the media?”
La Raza is the innocent victim of the media? …okkkaaaay.
What media are you talking about other than Lou Dobbs? In My house I see Univision, Globovision, CNN ESP, CNN, NBC, CBS, HEADLINE NEWS, MTV, MTV3, MUN2…..all telling me about how awful I should feel for not “solving” immigration problems, and how America has done so much harm to 20 million people with our racist ways.
You should watch MTV3 and MUN2 indoctrinating 12 year olds, its really pretty disgusting how blatent they are. They run little “pro amnesty” comercials between every few videos. This is their investment in amnesty.
My daughter will be a great American Latina woman someday, but she will also know that what is best for America is respect for laws and citizens.
Thanks again for your thoughts. I like to think that being ‘right leaning’ means we respect all peoples right to any opinion, so I will agree to disagree and appreciate your time.
“And the Americans voters cannot decide on their own…..What makes us believe that the american voters know whats best for this country?”
That is a scary statement. The American voters are this country.
Special interest groups and congress are suppose to represent us, not rule over us.
This article states: “…evaded taxes and live in America for free illegally” and has been repeated over and over again. The government provides a Tax Identification Number to those individuals who do not have or work using a fake social security number to do their taxes.
Is it hypocrisy or ignorance? Should we simply call it xenophobia?
“government provides a Tax Identification Number to those individuals who do not have or work using a fake social security number to do their taxes.”
Yep to all those that come forward and request one, so they can give their money to the government. You think that is a large number?
Ignorance would be believing tax paying occurs or is common. Those that employ them do not benefit by documenting them either.
Take a look in front of Home depot any day anywhere in calofornia. You are saying those people are receiving a 1099 when they hop in the back of a truck.
What flavor is that koolaid.
If you really want to believe illegals are paying taxes and the employers of them are paying taxes on them as employees, you can tell yourself that.
Must be a nice dream to live in.
Are you assuming that every American citizens file their taxes? Obviously there are people who do not file taxes documented and undocumented. Use facts not your general ideas. In any case, the Dream Act will benefit those individuals who contribute to society. We are not dealing with criminals; we are talking about immigrants who are here to work and educate themselves for the benefit of their family and our country. If we sent them back our investment in their education would have been a waste of taxes(This is a fact)!
