Rush Raises $4,000,000 For Marines, over 2,000,000 from his own personal bank account!

But nobody cares.

Searched “Rush Matches” to go with the tons of stories that must be online about how Rush Limbaugh raised $2, 110,000 Dollars for injuried marines and the children of marines that have lost their lives in the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation.

THEN, Rush took over $2,000,000 out of his own pocket to match this huge charitable contribution.

Not a single mainstream newspaper or source seems to be printing or giving press to the huge story of a radio personality producing over $4,000,000 for families of marines.

YES, there are some articles and editorials, but where is the front page space this merits? A private citizen has his free speech attacked and signed by 2 dozen senators, then turns that into a 4 Million dollar charity contribution for marines families….and this get hardly a whisper?

Does this validate Rush’s assertion that the news outlets are owned by the senate and leftist contributors? Seems to.

“We’ve gotten donations in the million-dollar range before, but this is by far the biggest,” James Kallstrom, chairman and co-founder of the 12-year-old charity, said yesterday in a telephone interview.

The foundation has awarded more than $27 million in scholarships to children of slain troops and law enforcement officers, Kallstrom said, as well as support money for disabled veterans and their families.”

The Senators who wrote this letter to complain about Rush Limbaugh and to silence his 1st ammendment rights have not contributed a single dollar to the cause. Limbaugh has challenged the very wealthy senators to match his personal contribution and there has been no response.

Not a single Democratic Senator has put their money where their mouth is.

NOTE: Harry Reid is worth about $5,000,000, not a single dollar of which has gone to the Marine Charity.

From Rushlimbaugh.com:
“So the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation, it’s now official, is going to get in excess of $4.2 million because I am matching Betty Casey’s bid on eBay — $4.2 million. I asked Senator Reid to match and all the other senators who can afford to do so. I haven’t heard from them on that. I asked Senator Reid to go on the program and discuss his discussion of me as “unpatriotic.” He did not accept my offer to do that, and now has the audacity to climb aboard this, praising the effort, saying that “he” never knew that it would get this kind of money. It got this kind of money because it represents one of the most outrageous abuses of federal power in modern American history, and that is what makes it a collector’s item.”

Not surprising from Harry Reid whos opinion of US marines appears to be very very low.

“”This war is lost.”
Harry Reid, April 19, 2007

“The Iraqi war is hopeless and the situation in Iraq is same as it was in Vietnam.”
Harry Reid (Quoted by al Qaeda in a press release)

Good on Rush. It’s a shame the mainstream media won’t cover this but it’s the deed itself that counts.
