Retitled: The saving of freedom.

We will be covering the last gasp of freedom in Venezuela. The dictator for life Hugo Chavez will be utilizing his fake vote today to steal the entire country. We will be using clips from our friend in Venezuela Daniel.

Before going in you should read the most accurate post on this death of freedom being disguised as “reform”. This is a decree of communism and nothing less.

9:22AM- From Daniel in San Felipe

The voting centers are being guarded by the special army of the Chavez Political Party, and not the actual army nor police.

“Looking through the window I finally observe something that was bugging me some: they have barred my street!!! That is, no vehicles are allowed to drive in front of the voting center, and even less to park!!! That is, after I come back from voting I will have to talk to someone to let me go back home!!!

This is weird, even on the Recall Election vote where the line of people went all around the block for hours, traffic was never interrupted. but there is an explanation: as I was scrutinizing the scene I finally realize that it is not the army which is manning the voting center this time, but the “Reserva”! That is, the 99.99% pro Chavez militia! I suppose that they are barring the street to make sure that no US marine comes around to stuff the ballot boxes…. ”

12:02 PM EST
CNN Espanol just reported that general Rafael Baduel, the former close friend and right hand man of Hugo Chavez was shot at in public while speaking against this change. he was not hit by the bullets. If you disagree with the dictator, then you are branded a traitor and assaulted.

12:57 PM
Globosvision interviewing voters about the “tinta” or paint on their thumbs. When you vote you give a thumbprint with ink that is supposed to not come off. This stops “revoting”. Person after person wiped the ink right off. This is being shown on LIVE TV happening as the world watches. This plays in nicely with the use of city buses to traffic voters around that Chavez has used at every vote he has won. This may be how the exit polls showing an opposition victory of 59-42% turned out to be a Chavez win of 57-43%, one of the hundreds of ways Chavista cheats in the fake elections and votes.

3:30PM PM EST
Globovision shows live footage as police drive off with a man in Carabobo State caught in front of the polling station handing out fake ID cards and cash. The student protestors found him and the police moved in to remove the man.

Just another day of cheating in another election for Chavista. You will note how this fits with the earlier story about the ink on the finger being found to wash off easily, while it is supposed to be permanent. Wash it off get you new fake government ID card and vote again. Chavez prints ID cards in Venezuela and uses city buses to transport their voters, a convenient advantage and the same cheating transparent methods used last election.

7:05PM EST
Opposition holds up a printout from a Chavista/government website announcing the ‘YES’ have won, though this is clear violation of election laws. Globovision and the press conference given by the student protest groups all did not say any preliminary results. These opposition voices followed the rules and did not try to release illegal returns.

The speaker also announced them to be “completely false” numbers just released to cause trouble and conflict.

8:16 PM EST
The Vice President is speaking and saying he will respect the results and expects the “trouble makers” (the students protesting) to do the same. At the same time as this it is announced that the partial results are in and cannot be disclosed yet. The results are though “very very close”. A reporter then asks why is has been spotted that Hugo Chavez is setting up his victory speech podium at the capital building while this press conference is going on.

It’s almost as if he knew the “results” before the very very close vote is done being counted.

keep this in mind: The Vice president speaking, draped in red and the man in charge of making sure that “Chavez” wins this vote was the previous head of the CNE or Election regulation body. He was in charge of monitoring the “elections” up until a year ago.

A slight conflict of interest when Chavez’s vie president is also the man in charge of counting the votes in the last Chavez victories at the polls? I guess he did a good job of turning 42% polls into a 59% victory in 2004.

The corruption is so blatant, but I am not surprised since Chavismo is synonymous with criminal.

10:38 PM EST
Still the CNE has not announced the result of the Freedom OR Communism vote. They said it would be announced at 90%, and they now have over that number. Awe learned the last cheat election, Chavez started giving victory speeches while people were still waiting to vote. The fact that he isn’t trying to incite a mob yet looks good for the ‘no’ vote. The student organization leader said he had the “results” in his had, and stood on stage with a fistful of paper. He said “We have worked hard for this”. He could not say what the results are though on TV.

It is against the rules to state statistics or figures on the air until official. Chavez told Globovision (the last free station of any size), hat he will “shut them down TODAY!” if they violate any rules.

Of course when the communist Telesur announced Chavez had won at around 4pm, in CLEAR violation of the rules, not a finger is raised against the communist mouthpiece. That proclamation was fake of course.

I have watched Chavista after Chavista announce how they have the “best democracy on the planet”. Its pretty hard to take the delusional Chavista robots seriously. Telesur broke the rules he threatened Globovision over, Chavez himself broke the rules giving pro-”yes” telecasts yesterday (within 24 hours of the vote), reports of opposition observers not being allowed to observe of throw out of counting centers are on the air all day long.

Well see what fictional result he comes up with, but as every poll has “no” winning I expect he will have to go to plan B on creating his communist slave ship in a country that prefers freedom..

11:30 EST (12:30am in Venezuela)
Still no results. Opposition leaders are all on TV demanding they announce the winner or explain why nobody is saying anything. The opposition and TV stations all have the 90% poll results in their hands but none can say it on the air by law. They are clearly the winners with “NO”, otherwise they would not be demanding it announced officially. Chavista has been behind locked doors with the votes for 2 hours past schedule with no explanation.

Must be that “world’s greatest democracy” in action behind locked doors with the Chavez-owned military and Electoral Committee (CNE). (Again keep in mind that the current Vice president to Hugo Chavez was previously the person in charge of elections up till 2004. Maybe the current CNE president is working hard with a shredding machine to earn her promotion?

The newscasters already know who won, all have given it away with clear smiles and joking attitudes all night, but by law cannot announce the 90% results they have in their hands.

“It has been enough time” announce the result to the people” the opposition leader said just now on Globovision, and he already knows who won…….So the only question left is how will Chavez cheat?

Computer error? Irregularities? George Bush conspiracy? What bit of delirium will he feed to his ignorant followers to get them to take to the street?

11:54 PM EST
The 5 members of the CNE Election Regulators (all of whom are also Chavez supporters), finally came out of the building but did not give the results that everyone knows already. They went off screen to another building by themselves and did not allow the head of the opposition (who is an official observer) come in with them. They will continue their “fair” count privately where nobody can see what they are doing.

They have had 90% returns for over 2 hours. I guess nobody wants to tell the dictator the bad news until they figure a way to cheat their way out of an authentic “democracy”.

51% NO

1:01 AM EST
Chavez is still talking (and talking and talking). This guy never shuts up,… even when the people have asked him to.
Final vote is about 51% to 49%, Chavez’s proposition to make himself dictator for life has lost, and so will his momentum from this exposure. he is now coming up on 1 hour of talking on and on about how close it was.

And he just said Imperialista Americano…..he managed to blame the US before wrapping up the marathon speech.

Chavez is sitting there about to cry with a pencil in his hand pretending to be writing down numbers ever few minutes between his ramblings.

He point out how t was only a 1% loss, and so close. In his ignorance he forgets to mention the following points.
He controls 90% of the media and monitors the other 10%, controls 100% of the police, army, reserves, election committee, supreme court, congress, buses, budget, oil money, government jobs and the laws about campaigning.

And he still lost.

he tried to say this is proof that the voting is fair in Venezuela, and spin it as something good for his party, but the fact is that in an honest vote he would have lost by 20%, he just couldn’t cheat his way to being King of Venezuela.

The people of Venezuela are singing the national anthem in the streets right now on Globovision. The people don’t have red “uniforms” handed out by Chavez like his robots do. The people don’t have government paid for professional banners, they have hand made signs and face paint.

The victory is for freedom, and once again the loss is for dictatorships and communism.

Chavez is selling a lie that has failed 5 times before and this may be the turning point were the ignorance he peddles it to wakes up.

We are dancing in the living room, and only Fidel Castro dying in his sleep tonight could make this day better.

Re: “Death of Freedom” - After the clean election in Venezuela, don’t Mr. Kraft’s comments come off as a whole lot of hysterical hand-wringing? Not only was he alarmist-wrong on the substance of the referendum, but he was alarmist-wrong about the outcome of the vote. Perhaps he should grow a set. The world is less scary when you aren’t peering out from under the covers. Whatever. I just hope the people who read his hissy-fits remember he got this one double-wrong and give him the deference his shrill insight has earned — none.

Since you provide no insight to what you know, i will assume you know only what you read in TIME magazine.

I am not sure what “election” you are referring to? That was not an election last night, that was a vite to change the constitution so one man can rule for 51 years.

A reform that most chavistas did not even read. Globovision interviewed Chavistas live. all said they would vote yes but now one knew anything about the vote (robots).

Since when does a president change a constituion to benefit only himself?

Not in any reall free society they dont.

Was there some demand to change the consitition? NO. he just decided he could buy any vote…one that would give him the entire country.

Did the peopl say “hey we want you to pick mayors and governors, we DONT WANT TO VOTE on that”….no, nobody would want that.

These are the things he was proposing, all things to give him more and more power..

Sprinkled with some leftist handouts to convince his ignorant supporters.

    no more overtime?
    6 hour workdays?

    Thats called buying votes.

What the hell does a overtime law have to do with the constitution of a nation?
    (its called buying votes)

You sir need to educate yourself on what goes on under the dictator, before trying to pose as educated on the subject.

    Lastly sir,
There is no such thing as a “fair” election when one party controls 90% of the media, all the police, courts, senate and country’s money for themselves.

Without intimidation, threat of firing, using voting records to decide on Visas and Chavistas on motorcycles throwing rocks….

he would have lost by a landslide.
