I just got done earlier posting how MSNBC changed the leaderboard graphic for the Nevada Caucus to only show the top 2 once Ron Paul was solidly in second place.

Well to take the matter one futher, once he dominated McCain and took second place I never again saw his face or heard his name mentioned EVEN ONCE in almost 2 hours of watching Nevada coverage on MSNBC.

Not once did they show the leaders or say the words “Ron Paul” even though he is one of the biggest money raisers and was solidly in second place in Nevada today.

This is not a joke, I have not seen an image or heard the name Ron Paul even one time today though he got 2nd place in the Primary.

The media is corruptly against Ron Paul, and to say otherwise is ignorant.

Here is the end all example and proof from FOX news. Fox actually does not even show the results of Ron Paul and removed him completely though he is the 2nd highest vote getter.

Look at this and tell me FOX, MSNBC and all other corporate owned news outlets are not corrupt.

Last but not least (plug), grab some Ron Paul gear on our site here.

This is about it, there has to be something we can do about this… I’m afraid that I’m new to media corruption, any ideas?

I’m a 37yo home owner in CT; work very hard at a corporate job. I’ve been following the NEWS, on-line and using my media monitoring account, of the MSM ever since I heard about Ron Paul in Dec. 07. What you say is 100% correct pertaining to the MSM… they have a black-out on Ron Paul. It’s not just Ron Paul, it’s anyone against their agenda… It’s absolutely disgusting. I have lost all faith in the MSM now.
I can’t wait for our (unelected for those that know) government to start censoring the Internet in the name of “security” and “terror”. The little we know know will even be blacked out. This is very scary.
One day, you’ll right a blog like you just did and then you’ll disappear.
I hope everyone reads “1984″, by George Orwell and everyone wakes the f@#% up.

  4. kevin on January 19th, 2008 10:27 pm

Yes. The MSM is going a long way to censor Paul. It has now gotten to a ridiculous level - so many instances are recorded, especially when giving results (such as the New York Times results page: http://politics.nytimes.com/election-guide/2008/results/votes/index.html - I wonder whether they will include Ron Paul with the Nevada result - or simply ignore his % again).

But one thing for sure: all Ron Paul supporters are celebrating and this gives a long deserved boost. Next success could be the Maine caucus (after Florida before Super Tuesday). And if Paul wins Maine, I’m sure the MSM would act as if there was no caucus in Maine.

  5. brad on January 19th, 2008 10:33 pm

    What else is new?

RP is no longer wishfully relying on the MSM to get the word out.

Thousands of volunteers are walking precincts, door-to-door, getting the word out.

    They cannot stop us!

  6. Mike on January 19th, 2008 10:37 pm

Overall, Paul is in fourth place despite furious efforts to sideline him… http://truthalert.net/Republican%20Presidential%20Candidate%20Rankings.htm

  9. JimS on January 19th, 2008 10:50 pm

We “Nut job, fervent, Truther” supporters have been saying this from day one. The only time they talk about Ron Paul is to talk about us - as if we are nuts…I would like to remind them that the Military supports Ron Paul more than any other candidate - are they calling the military nuts?

  10. Patrick Hooper on January 19th, 2008 10:57 pm

Yet another example of the media bias. BTW, whats going on with your site? The Poll area on the right hand side doesn’t have Ron Paul listed on the voting for Republican candidates?

I appreciate you calling out the MSM but I think you also need to have a chat with your own editors.

The poll clearly staes of the “big 4″ (as portrayed in the media) who would you choose.
This is because we already had a candidate poll and Ron Poll easily wins all online polls. So if he is not in the poll, who is next.
Thats the stated point of that poll here.

The complete poll of all candidates has been completed already and is here
    http://www.charlotteconservative.com/index.php/2007/10/election-2008-presidential-poll/

It is also linked on the homepage of this site for 2 months now.

  11. tanah on January 19th, 2008 10:59 pm

It is ridiculous and plain shameless that they don’t even have a conscience to what is right or wrong.
Ron Paul is a very “viable” legitimate presidential candidate and he is treated with such disdain and disrespect.
Ron Paul is the only one that truly understands the effects of the war in our current economy, collapsing dollar value and recession. Please-America wake up and vote for HOPE-Vote Ron Paul. We can be heard and not ignored. Please donate even $5 to upcoming MLK “money bomb” for Ron Paul.
I feel like most americans are going like a sheep in a herd without really understanding their candidates’ stands on the issues.
Go Ron Paul-We gotta have hope!

  12. Drangion on January 19th, 2008 11:07 pm

I wouldn’t say they were “corrupt.” They’re just blatant POV pushers, which they have a right to do. It is finally absolute proof though that Fox is not “fair and balanced.”

  13. Richard Wicks on January 19th, 2008 11:20 pm

The media that brought us The New Economy, Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq, binLaden working with Hussein, the Goldilocks economy, and the Housing Bubble is a Myth, is corrupt???

    Wow, what a revelation.

  14. Scott on January 19th, 2008 11:21 pm

There is a saying that “What you resist - persists.” By not giving Ron Paul just attention the MSM is actually creating more momentum for the message through their own resistance.

    Peace,

    Scott

  15. Michael Kraft on January 19th, 2008 11:24 pm

    @drangion

To show the results as #1, #2, and #3 but to not have the correct #1, #2, and #3 is lying.

That graphics depicts Huckabee as Third, which is not true nor even close.

That when portrayed to be factual and news is corrupt. A lie for an agenda or money is corruption in my eyes.

On ronpaulforums.com they say BUT its only 1% returns in.

Well it was early enough to call a winner, so its early enough to get the results correct.

  16. Jm on January 19th, 2008 11:35 pm

How about the censoring on this website:

“If forced to vote for one of the ‘big four’ Republican candidates, which would you choose?

    Rudy Giuliani
    Mitt Romney
    John McCain
    Fred Thompson”

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Ron Paul is fourth in the popular vote having received more votes than Rudy or Fred. He is fifth in the delegate count, ahead of Rudy.

Jim jim JIM,….Look at my rsponse to the OTHER 10 people who said the same thing.
Youll see it says of the “big 4″ referring to the MSM choices. You can goto the HOMEPAGE and see the link to the poll of ALL CANDIDATES which RON PAUL WON.

Thats why we did IF YOU HAVE TO VOTE FOR ONE OF THE MSM CHOICES, who would you pick.

  17. Robert A. Cook on January 19th, 2008 11:41 pm

What can we do about media corruption?

Turn off the TV. Turn off the radio. Cancel the newspaper subscription. Take away their advertising dollars. That’ll do for a start.

My TV is a monitor for my DVD player; my stereo system only plays CDs and old-style vinyl records. I don’t take the paper. I get my news from Google (primarily the international press) and from bloggers.

Starve the mainstream media. Send them a message. In the police state the U.S. has become, it’s the only vote that counts.

  18. Jane on January 19th, 2008 11:41 pm

anyone wonders why the media, specifically the New York Times, cannot be trusted to report the news in a truthful way, here is a bit of proof:

This is supposed to be a primary RESULTS page…but the second place winner in Nevada, Ron Paul at 14%, has amazingly been LEFT OUT.

Title of page: Primary Season Election Results
    URL: http://politics.nytimes.com/election-guide/2008/results/index.html

When I wrote to the NYT to complain, I got a long convoluted song and dance about polling. Why then are the results for NH primary candidates getting 1% posted and not candidates getting 8%?

It makes no sense. Call and let them know you won’t be fooled by their blatant twisting of the news.

  20. Jay_C on January 19th, 2008 11:42 pm

You have all said it all, I am just venting the same. I was watching CNN and they basically skipped over discussing the details of the GOP Nevada caucus (other than Romney’s win), and spent most of the time talking about S.C., and the future Florida primary. I heard about 10-12 “Giuliani’s” and 1 “Ron Paul” (and it was only used as a benchmark to measure Giuliani’s “suprisingly” in their eyes, kow showing thus far. Really Obnoxious. Really peeves me off…

  21. Caldera on January 19th, 2008 11:49 pm

Yes, I have been watching lots of news tonight and there was NO mention of Ron Paul winning 2nd place in Nevada, except for the bottom of the screen where they showed Nevada results.

This is the way it’s going to go down. Nobody said it was going to be easy. We have a HUGE job ahead of us and a huge wall to cllimb. But it’s very simple. Talk to your friends who aren’t following the news, and get them to see some Ron Paul videos that pertain to their concerns. Just get your friends and associates to listen to his message and explain why the news isn’t showing it.

    NOW IS THE TIME.

  22. Jay_C on January 19th, 2008 11:57 pm

Basically MSM’s formula is unless Ron Paul outright wins, mention his name / show his face as little as possible. If he does win anything significant, downplay it as a “fluke” in passing, but mention the other guys that he is legitimately beating out Ad Nauseam.

MONEY SPEAKS, especially when supposed top tier candidates like Ghouliani and Thompson are broke. Heck, McCain is broke too.

  24. Robert Moore on January 20th, 2008 12:10 am

Every news reporter worth their salt will start asking the other candidates if they have any knowledge of the MSM black-listing Paul. If I had the money I would sue Fox for their fraud.

  25. John Reading on January 20th, 2008 12:14 am

The people who are most likely to vote are the older generations who plant themselves in front of the tube and who think WWII was wonderful. If it isn’t on TV, it isn’t really important to them.

They have always voted for more government and always will. They want social security checks, free pills, and more movie channels. They think “liberty” is what ever they have, no matter how little they have left of it.

The MSM owns them and has for decades. The MSM will decide this election, as they always have. We will get the fascist or the communist. As we always have.

  26. Mark Leclerc on January 20th, 2008 12:31 am

Also, not a SINGLE mention of Ron Paul on the news tonight in New Hampshire…

Our battle is a war, folks!

Keep the fight, never quit talking about Ron, and keep his campaign funded for the duration… as they continue to pull this blatent censorship, even casual non believers will hopefully start to wake up!!!

  27. tim on January 20th, 2008 12:58 am

I had to laugh tonight on line another newspaper report on the Nevada Ron Paul results. The journalist (for whatever that title is worth) stated Ron Paul votes came from the area 51 kooks in Nevada. My thought would be then Romney has a “Hell of a lot more” area 51 kooks working his campaign. In addition, this reporter attended a college in journalism?

  28. Alexia on January 20th, 2008 1:04 am

Stop it with this “somebody ought to do something!” stuff. If you love your country, go to Ron Paul’s website and sign up to be a precinct leader. Do it now.

The TV isn’t going to tell people about Paul, so you have to do it. Call them, or walk around door to door - Ron Paul needs you.

  29. Robert on January 20th, 2008 2:24 am

It doesnt matter who gets the most votes–it matters who COUNTS them. HELLO!?!?

  30. Bill on January 20th, 2008 3:59 am

Mr. Kraft, you are right. Been nice reading you.
Your editors will be having a conversation with you soon.

  31. Valeria on January 20th, 2008 9:22 am

I think of Fox as a domestic enemy. Isn’t that what they are when they are outright LYING to the public? Not giving the complete story, is the same thing as telling a lie. They are the type of media who is no better than some rag you read you know is out there to pander to their propaganda to the type of people who like to read things such as the national enquirer and rags like that. Know nothings. Hell I bet even the people who work at Fox know not much. At least not stuff that is worth anything. So just treat fox like you would treat anyone in business you don’t use. Boycott them. Boycott their Advertisers and the companies who keep them in business. Take away their money and you get them out of your way. Oh and tell everyone you know too. Check out some of those companies who sponser Fox News. Be informed just as to who they are and what they do. Where are they doing their main business from and things like that. So you can tell other people. People who choose to treat the American Public like they don’t matter, and think that they can just keep going and going and going, well eventually Fox news, your battery is gonna run out.

  32. May Hemm on January 20th, 2008 12:10 pm

Also we should note that the MSM is not reporting something even bigger - that the US & Israel are preparing to NUKE IRAQ. When I pull up my browser, I have it customized (Google home) to show headlines on various news sites. Never once have those headlines indicated this very serious situation.

  33. Bill Jenkins on January 20th, 2008 1:23 pm

MSM also generally ignored negative stories on Paul while ignoring him as well. So it balances out.

Ron Paul, racist or not (as he claims), has a very racist following.

Ron Paul getting 2nd place with 13% of the vote in a blow-out by Mitt Romney means little.

Of course, Paultards are going to act like 2nd place was almost like winning. It wasn’t. Romney crushed Paul.

  34. Marjorie Miller on January 20th, 2008 1:57 pm

Oh My God. I didn’t even think they would try or would think they could get away with this kind of blantant discrimination. It’s beyond words. We must starve the beast, before it attacks us physically. Martial Law no longer seems like a joke. The problem is, I don’t think the NYTimes is a money maker, as much as someone’s paid megaphone.

Thanks for keeping us up to date with your very insightful articles.

  35. John Fanning on January 20th, 2008 3:23 pm

As much as I hate to see what the media is doing to Ron Paul and anyone else that does not support the agenda of the media. At least now it is so blatent that many of the sheeple are waking up. This is not new, this type of censorship has taken place for a long time, only now, because of the internet and Ron Paul’s popularity, people are seeing it first hand. There have been many before Paul who this happened to and we did not even notice. It is not working this time and even if they shut Dr. Paul out of the primaries, many more people are waking up.

God will lift up leaders to lead us in our time of need and he will provide tools to help us defeat the darkness.

  36. Sammy on January 20th, 2008 3:35 pm

If you want to right the wrongs, each of us - you, me - must get outside and honestly speak with our fellow Americans about the issues. Go to shopping malls, go to parks, just get out there and do it.

Some conversation starters that lead into Ron Paul’s platform:

+ how about the price of gas/eggs - wow, inflation is here!

+ I’m not sure why we still need to have troops in South Korea. I wonder if the money we put into South Korea could better be used at home?

Get outside and talk to people. I’m going right now!

  37. gds on January 21st, 2008 12:01 am

Complain to the FCC about Dr. Paul’s media blackout and censorship. If there are many complaints against each channel, they will have problems when renewing their licenses. The press is supposed to be free and objective. List each complaint and keep a copy for yourself.

  38. Tomas on January 23rd, 2008 3:30 am

Even better, though I didn’t get it on tape, was when CNN reported for 48 hours strait on the weekend news loop. They never said his name once. They showed the stats for a few seconds each hour but only mentioned Mit Romney, then reported “Romney a big 1st place win in Nevada, McCain and Huckabee battle it out for 3rd”.

I wish I had it recorded.

  39. Watcher on January 29th, 2008 2:49 pm

MSM mentions of candidates for yesterday (01/28/2008):
    John McCain - 2483
    Mitt Romney - 1980
    Rudy Giuliani - 1584
    Mike Huckabee - 589
Fred Thompson - 62 (has already dropped out)
    Ron Paul - 60

Yes, the MSM looks very fair in their coverage.
