Here is a recent article from the Orlando Sentinel. While trying paint hispanics as victims of the economy, the writer has exposed one of the major problems of ilegal immigration. The story is of a legal immigrant (Simon Leon) wo can no longer pay his bills with work in the housing market.

The demand for housing workers has dropped, and he now finds himself as part of a very very inflated supply (illegal immigrants).

Legal hispanics cannot find work in the US housing markets because there are not enough jobs.

Not enough jobs…..let me repeat that…not enough jobs for the American in their story to find work.

The market is flooded with illegal immigrants which has greatly lowered wages and job opportunities like Mr. Leon.

The article tries to do what all illegal immigrant advocates do, which is to pretend all hispanics are in the same demographic group.

The truth is that illegal immigrants destroy markets like home building for legal hispanic Americans looking for work. Legal hispanics have their pay rates greatly lowered by the presence of illegal workers. Legal hispanics in the US are the #1 workplace victim of illegal immigration.

There is not enough work and this story shows just one of the millions of Americans losing their job in their chosen fields.

Someone should inform Mr. Leon, that enforcing immigration laws in Florida would open up thousands of good jobs for him to choose from.

“Simon Leon came to the United States in 1977 with nothing. But the former migrant worker from Morolen, Mexico, achieved the quintessential dream of owning a home and giving his children a better life.

Now after more than 30 years in Florida, he might have to return to Mexico and leave behind the little pink house in Auburndale that he has repaired and improved one tile at a time.

Len is among the hundreds of thousands of immigrants who benefited from the boom in construction, abandoning lower-paying agricultural and service jobs to lay stucco and nail down roofs. He and others are now finding themselves without jobs as the downturn in housing construction diminishes demand for their labor.”

“Leon, who became a legal immigrant in the 1980s, has been able to hold on to the house where he lives with his wife and two teenage children by taking other jobs — ranging from picking oranges to buying and selling old cars.

He hasn’t had a roofing job, which pays $10 an hour or more, since May. His income has since been cut in half.”

I wonder who is geting all his roofing jobs?

Exactly what Americans have been saying.

Hispanic Americans unable to get a decent wage or find work in dozens of industries because of the flooded workforce due to illegal immigration.

This story tells the story of one of the tens of thousands of Hispanic Americans who have not had their story told by the mainstream media.

No they don’t…they only represent illegal aliens and any other criminal means to boost their membership numbers.

Tell Mr Leon to support “THE SAVE ACT” If he is a permant resident or a citizen of these United States, he support every immigration law that needs passing for the legal population.

According to the actual bypartisan co-authors to the save act its now 147. Included are 3 Democratic Senators and 5 Republicans. House Democrats number 48, and House Republicans number 90.

House Speaker Pelosi is trying to overturn this enforcement ONLY Federal law.

The Democratic Pelosi’s backroom deals appear to be motivated by fear that a group of freshmen Democrats may get most Republicans to help them force a vote on the enforcement-only SAVE Act

(Secure America with Verification Enforcement). That bill — with 147 bi-partisan signers in the House and Senate — primarily would drive millions of illegal aliens out of their jobs. But Pelosi is trying to ensure that if the bill comes to a vote it will include huge increases in H-2B and H-1B visas for foreign workers of all kinds, and that it will include millions of legal work permits for all the illegal aliens currently holding a job.

“I want every American to be aware of Speaker Pelosi’s callous attitude toward the 23 million, less-educated working-age Americans who do not currently have a job,” Beck said. “This group of Americans without any college education and without a job increased by 2 million between 2000 and 2005 at the same time Congress was importing 1.5 million foreign workers of the same education level, according to research by the Center for Immigration Studies.

“Nobody in Congress has a worse grade (F-minus) than Nancy Pelosi when it comes to protecting American jobs, American wages and American working conditions from the downward pressures of massive immigration. As the head Democrat, she stands in stark contrast to most of the newly elected Democrats who are pledged to protecting American workers and fighting illegal immigration.
