Earle Goes Down Whining
In response to the article in the creativeloafing.com article about Beverly Earle.
I picked up Creativeloafing for Charlotte today to read about Pat McCrory and the run for governor. Inside they have an article with Beverly Earle the Democrat that got beat soundly when trying to win Pat McCrory’s job away from him after 12 years.
Pat McCrory won 61% to 37% in a long string of landslide victories in a city that has almost a 50% minority population.
Well in the fashion of a true Democrat, she lost and still left crying racism and playing race, ethinic and class war politics. The one thing you can always count on with a Democrat is that every word that comes out of their mouth will be designed to tell minorities and poor Americans that it is unfair and someone cheated them.
Every word a liberal candidate will speak will be targeting just ONE GROUP and never all people involved in a community or country. This is the core problem, dividing never helped you or I come together. I personally vote as a resident and equal American, not as an ethnic statistic, that is why I vote Republican.
Dividing a nation is what liberals do come every election cycle, and Beverly Earle seems to have kept up the liberal tears as she exits stage left.
Well I for one don’t pull a lever for white, black or brown. I vote for Charlotte and for the issues of the city. It seems I am not alone in that regard as Mayor Pat has managed 12 years in office in a very diverse city.
I am not the biggest fan of all the mayor does, but I also know that he has addressed the entire city and won his job repeatedly which makes this comment by Beverly Earle pretty transparent and empty.
“The only thing I can say is it’s kind of interesting that [McCrory] indicated that he decided to run when he brought a caravan to Raleigh,” she says. That was in the summer, Earle recalls. If he decided then to run, then I think it was unfair for him to seek re-election when he had his eyes set on another job. It was deceiving to run for mayor and turn around and see what his other political options were.”
Is this not What Clinton, Obama, McCain, YOU YOURSELF and every other candidate in America does?
The echo of “sore loser” rings clear from this last statement.
“…I think it was unfair for him to seek re-election…”
A true liberal losing without dignity.
Earle says that she and other people in Charlotte politics feel as though McCrory has been eyeing higher political posts, but not too many people thought he would’ve launched another campaign after winning re-election as mayor.
“I think, quite clearly, that it’s going to be hard for him to represent the city and campaign,” she says. “I don’t see how he can run for governor and represent a city the size of Charlotte with the issues we have.”
WAIT A MINUTE, how did you run for Mayor while still keeping your other job? Oh yeah, your a Democrat, so your allowed to be a hypocrite…
“She says that she loves her job in the state house and has no plans to seek the office of Charlotte mayor again.”
And then comes the bread and butter of every Democrat that doesn’t have the merit or ideas to win an election in debate, then comes the race card.
“Earle also points out that when the NAACP held its governor’s forum, McCrory didn’t show up. She says she wonders if this served as a message about the kind of leadership he would provide statewide. Does this mean that he’s not going to represent African-Americans or low-income people? Does it send the message that he’s only going to represent a certain aspect of the population?”"
Ms. Earle must be referring to important legislation like her bill to provide $85,000 for the 1898 Race Riot museum?
I find it funny that the riot was:
“A group of white supremacists planning to reestablish the Democratic Party led the insurrection.”…”Following the insurrection, Democrats (see North Carolina General Assembly of 1899-1900) passed the first Jim Crow laws for North Carolina.”… – wikipedia
Or maybe she means Mr. McCrory wont pass bills like this one she passed saying that someone on death row can claim racial discrimination to avoid being sentenced to death? That seems like legislation that speaks to everyone….So who is only going to represent a certain aspect of the population now?
Is any of this important or really matter? No, not really.
The fact is that the race card has long worn out its’ welcome in a thinking society.
I had thought Charlotte was above that, as it is the best place I have ever lived for neighborhood unity and real community feel that is above race. I have the most diverse neighborhood of my life and love the conversations I can have in any direction from my front steps.
It is sad that the same people are using the same approach to try and convince ignorant people to vote for them. And yes, anyone that gets sucked into voting for someone because of this kind of talk is ignorant.
It’s time for Democrats to put away their seemingly endless deck of race cards and try to win on merit and common sense.
If liberals like this really truly wanted unity, then they would spend a little less time spouting excuses and divisive rhetoric to anyone that will listen and start addressing issues for all Americans. ALL AMERICANS EQUALLY, not legislation for this group and that.
Let us all apply your standards to your legislation like:
government regulated certificate on window tinting and your bill to require hair braiders have a license to braid hair and your $630,000 to be added to the Community College minority mentoring program?
There may be alot of white, asian and hispanic North Carolinians wondering the same thing about you. The best approach is for politicians to stop pandering and just address all people as one.
If you want us all to truly be one, this is the common sense conservative approach. I for one will always vote with all my neighbors on mind.
So when Beverly Earle says “Does it send the message that he’s only going to represent a certain aspect of the population?”
Is the pot calling the kettle black?
