Alarmists Continue Attack

Today the main stream media was heading to new lows in pumping global warming propaganda into Americans.

On 60 minutes today we were treated to a story about a “doom bunker” that is a below ground bomb shelter to save mankind from global warming.

The story was a good idea to store seeds in an artic bomb shelter to preserve plant species.

That is a good idea to a degree, but 60 minutes takes the mainstream liberal approach and says at one point “this is built to survive a global crisis like Nuclear War or Global Warming”.

Yes, 60 minutes just told us that nuclear war and global warming are on par as the terrors to mankind.

The same kind of fear mongering that liberals have accused Republicans of for 30 years they now use to try and win the 2008 election.

Of course in the prior example it was thousands of nuclear missles while in the current liberal agenda it is polar bears looking for ice.

So 60 minutes uses the broad liberal brush and says they are pretty much the same threat to mankind. One warms mankind by 1 degree per 150 years and the other warms mankind by 6000 degrees in 1/2 a second.

60 minutes then brings on the token “expert scientist” to say they have found crocodile bones in the artic which is an example of how the earth was once so hot all over. This in fact is true since this is still an unatural state the earth is now in which is why ice is melting.

“Deep-sea temperatures rose 1,300 years before atmospheric CO2, ruling out the greenhouse gas as driver of meltdown” - USC geologist Lowell Stott

This of course kind of ruins the argument than man is causing the current heat….but we’ll play along.

What is left out, is that reindeer bones have been found as far south as france and italy as well so this attempted spin works both ways. Either way the fact is that climate changes on its’ own even if man is not around to see or influence it.

See, the earth was at one point solid ice all the way to the equators in what is called the Cryogenic Era or “snowball earth”. The ice has advanced and melted away a dozen times throughout history and in every case there is not a man or SUV on the planet.

But this inconvenient fact doesn’t help sell the new 2008 Prius, while alarmist terror does.

Then I open MSN messenger and get a triple dose of liberal media lies with their story on more global warming “proof”.

First they give us this example of liberal thinking and logic:
“Satellites measuring when land turns green found that spring “green-up” is arriving eight hours earlier every year on average since 1982 north of the Mason-Dixon line. In much of Florida and southern Texas and Louisiana, the satellites show spring coming a tad later, and bizarrely, in a complicated way, global warming can explain that too, the scientists said.”

Even when it is getting colder they find a way to say it is global warming.
Also, what is a tad? Facts are not worth printing in detail if they destroy your argument?

They go on to tell us in this story that butterflies and cherry blossoms have arrived a month early as compared to 1965, and this is evidence of global warming.
They give us great facts like:

“Blame global warming. The fingerprints of man-made climate change are evident in seasonal timing changes for thousands of species on Earth, according to dozens of studies and last year’s authoritative report by the Nobel Prize-winning international climate scientists. More than 30 scientists told The Associated Press how global warming is affecting plants and animals at springtime across the country, in nearly every state.”

They go beyond the obvious liberal conclusion that global warming is proven and nobody can say it is false. This AP article even injects the terms “man-made” which is even more in dispute as fact.

I found it funny that they are in awe of the credentials of the “authoritative report by the Nobel Prize-winning international climate scientists”.

Just last mainstream liberal media was mocking the 400 scientists that gathered in New York City to show proof that global warming is a complete scam. No media source ever mentioned that many of the scientists calling it a complete scam were also members of that group of “Nobel Prize-winning international climate scientists” and walked away when nobody wanted to hear their facts.

Same scientists, but they are called nuts because they dont push the agenda.

“Over 400 prominent scientists from more than two dozen countries recently voiced significant objections to major aspects of the so-called “consensus” on man-made global warming. These scientists, many of whom are current and former participants in the UN IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change), criticized the climate claims made by the UN IPCC and former Vice President Al Gore”

And the real gem in the line above is “More than 30 scientists told The Associated Press how global warming is affecting plants and animals at springtime across the country, in nearly every state”.

I guess you can go right down the list of scientists receiving government grants and earmarked money and found 30 scientists willing to say this for a story. The real green in global warming may well be grant money, TV viewers and book sales.

If this reporter had bothered to listen to the 400 prominent in attendence in New York City he would have found 400 scietists to tell them this is just an exercise in social sciences, fear mongering, marketing and plain old liberal media pumping out stories with ratings in mind.

Or, as we learned from one liberal commentor on our site, some may be scientists who have written books that are on sale on Amazon.com. The funny part is that of these 400 true experts that call global warming a hoax I can’t find a single one making money writing books about it?

Just follow the real green and you’ll find the source of all the hot air in global warming.
