Eliot Spitzer Busted
Well, the big news of the day is the New York Governor Eliot Spitzer caught in a sting as a customer of the Emperors Club call girl services.
Caught as client #9 calling from Washington DC to request a prostitute come down to meet and stay with him at about $3000 per hour.
While I am happy to hope that this will stop licenses for illegals as it helps to remove the hypocritical Democrat party from power next election, I am not though going to point fingers.
Governor Eliot Spitzer is expected to step down in the face of being caught with his pants downs. I for one don’t feel he should.
Bottom line: If this doesn’t affect his ability to do his job then it is unrelated to his job.
We often on this site preach the use of common sense to help make decisions and that it should come before party affiliation.
Just because the Democrats use their lberal media lie machines to destroy Larry Craig in a similar case doesn’t make it right to do to Governor Eliot Spitzer. The country should let his wife and kids deal with him, and the voting public will have their chance when his term ends.
The fact is that him sleeping around doesn’t keep him from doing his job. No matter what your view of his “progressive” leftist politics it doesn’t mean unrelated charges should end his ability to do his job.
This is an issue for his family and for him to deal with. If Governor Eliot Spitzer feels he needs free time to deal with this and that is why he steps down, then that is understandable.
If he wanted to keep working and to state this is unrelated to his ability to govern, then that too is a fair statement. While I know the liberal slime would never take such a common sense and reasonible view if in my shoes, it doesn’t change what is common sense.
This is what makes Conservatives better than liberals, we use common sense in decisions and judgements.
If the people of New York wish to remove Governor Eliot Spitzer then that is what the next election is for. If the crime is related to his work then that is reason for him to resign.
I don’t feel we need non work-related misdemeanors forcing resignations even when they are of people I strongly disagree with.
Governor Eliot Spitzer your politics are garbage and your reputation as a family man is ruined but your oath to do your job doesn’t end there. If you can do the job well then continue to do it.
I would also ask you show the same common sense the next time your party does the same to others.
The battle between the parties in Washington treat this sort of event as a victory against the Democrats, but I for one will be the first to put common sense first and try to be gracious in victory.
