In hosting America’s largest population of illegal immigrants, California bears a huge cost to provide basic human services for this fast growing, low-income segment of its population. A new study from the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) examines the costs of education, health care and incarceration of illegal aliens, and concludes that the costs to Californians is $10.5 billion per year.

Among the key finding of the report are that the state’s already struggling K-12 education system spends approximately $7.7 billion a year to school the children of illegal aliens who now constitute 15 percent of the student body. Another $1.4 billion of the taxpayers’ money goes toward providing health care to illegal aliens and their families, the same amount that is spent incarcerating illegal aliens criminals.

“California’s addiction to ‘cheap’ illegal alien labor is bankrupting the state and posing enormous burdens on the state’s shrinking middle class tax base,” stated Dan Stein, President of FAIR. “Most Californians, who have seen their taxes increase while public services deteriorate, already know the impact that mass illegal immigration is having on their communities, but even they may be shocked when they learn just how much of a drain illegal immigration has become.”

The Costs of Illegal Immigration to Californians focuses on three specific program areas because those were the costs examined by researchers from the Urban Institute in 1994. Looking at the costs of education, health care and incarceration for illegal aliens in 1994, the Urban Institute estimated that California was subsidizing illegal immigrants to the tune of about $1.1 billion. The enormous rise in the costs of illegal immigrants over the intervening ten years is due to the rapid growth in illegal residents. It is reasonable to expect those costs to continue to soar if action is not taken to turn the tide.

“Nineteen ninety-four was the same year that California voters rebelled and overwhelmingly passed Proposition 187, which sought to limit liability for mass illegal immigration. Since then, state and local governments have blatantly ignored the wishes of the voters and continued to shell out publicly financed benefits on illegal aliens,” said Stein. “Predictably, the costs of illegal immigration have grown geometrically, while the state has spiraled into a fiscal crisis that has brought it near bankruptcy.

“Nothing could more starkly illustrate the very high costs of ‘cheap labor’ than California’s current situation,” continued Stein. “A small number of powerful interests in the state reap the benefits, while the average native-born family in California gets handed a nearly $1,200 a year bill.”

It’s all true. I know this first hand. The LAPD ignores all laws and looks the other way when they see illegal immigrants that gather on every corner in town seeking illegal employment. Los Angeles, is a primary example of illegal immigration gone terribly wrong. American have lost their say in this policy.

The Los Angles schools lose 1/3 of all textbooks every year because of the transitory alien kids that are given books and then are taken out of school abruptly and never return their school books.

They show up in another district and do the same thing to them. These kids get free lunches, free textbooks, free tutors…. you name it. Never contributing anything to the communities that support them.

When will someone stand up for the American families left to contend with this problem?

The House-Senate committees has completed its funding in the Homeland Security Appropriations bill as of yesterday, undermining long-term security of unemployed American workers. They omitted the language that would have implemented the E-Verify application on a permanent basis to eject illegal workers. Instead, the conference extended the agreement limits of reauthorization for just three years. Even as E-Verify is gaining in nationwide popularity in businesses, the politicians are still catering to illegal immigrants. A assessment to extend E-Verify for only three more years is further evidence that Sen. Reid and the administration’s effort, to raise a façade, but all the while dismantling effectual controls against immigration invasion. So although the open border organization, headed by quasi-leadership of the Council of Foreign Relations, US Chamber of Commerce and anti American organizations such as the ACLU, La Raza didn’t win in Federal Court they still determined to corrode the laws.

These special interest lobbyists are well organized in the Democratic Senate and House to undermine any enforcement of immigration laws, including the 1986 (IRCA) that is a law that was never enforced. Same day Sen.David Vitter offered an amendment to sever Federal funds to SANCTUARY CITIES AND STATES, but as always they failed to observe the “Rule of Law.” The vote went along party lines except for three Republicans who voted with the Democrats to table the amendment. One Democrat voted against the motion – Landrieu (LA). Even though we can throw the conspirators out, when they come up for re-election it will have little effect? Even though they lose their seats, they will be reimbursed by their corporate friends with nice civilian desk jobs, with bloated pay checks.

NUMBERSUSA is an American people’s website that removes the propaganda placed on us by the Liberal press. At this location is raw evidence–YOU NEED TO KNOW–of the Democratic Leadership who is conspiring with industry, so that millions of illegal immigrants can still cross the border, so they can feed like leeches from American taxpayers and take the jobs. Everything you need to know about corrupted officials, mayor’s judges, governors and politicians is available at JUDICIAL WATCH. Learn where billions of dollars are going for undisclosed welfare programs for illegal aliens and families. Go to these websites and become a political advocate and keep the names of each treacherous politician in your long term memory.

Throw out Sen. Harry Reid, as he has been in the forefront of de-funding, derailing all the active laws such as 287 G. Janet Napolitano should join him on the garbage heap, along with speaker Pelosi who has an (F-) in immigration grading for enforcement. Mark your own lawmaker and drag him across the hot coals by calling 202-224-3121 Find out the buried truth at NUMBERSUSA, JUDICIAL WATCH & CAPSWEB, for overpopulation facts. They even went after Sheriff Joe Ariapo in Arizona for carrying out his duties, under the 287 G fed law. His deputies were so successful in the removal program; big business went crawling to the Democratic leaders pleading for assistance. GET THE FACTS–NOT THE LIES! REMEMBER NO TAXPAYER HEALTH CARE FOR FOREIGN NATIONALS! NO AMNESTY! NO NOTHING! THEY BROKE OUR LAWS OF SOVEREIGNTY!

    GOOD ARTICLE!

Illegal aliens have made America the dumping ground for all their illegal alien children, then we have to school them and give them free medical care.

I for one, am sick and tired of these ILLEGAL ALIENS snubbing their nose at our immigration laws and the many other laws of this Country. If our Federal Government can not ENFORCE our immigration laws, and get these ILLEGAL ALIENS out of this Country, then let the States do it! One way or another, an end has to come to this illegal immigration, and not with AMNESTY! Amnesty will only encourage more ILLEGAL ALIENS to invade our Country and reward those who broke our laws and raped the American taxpayer in many ways…depressing our wages, taking our jobs, overwhelming our schools with their ILLEGAL ALIEN children, driving without a license or car insurance, all the crime from stolen identities to rape, drugs and everything else.

It’s time for ZERO TOLERENCE with these ILLEGAL ALIENS. It’s time for them get out of this Country and back in their own Country where they belong. When we get rid of the ILLEGAL ALIENS, we will get rid of all the problems that go with them. THAT IS A FACT!

Yes, Mexifornia is bankrupt, but nothing will change as long as Barry is handing out “bailouts”. That will extend the problem nationally. Then we will be looking at the Chinese to bail us out.
My hope is things get so bad here the poor just pack up and leave for AZ, OR or anywhere else. I would like to see the state loose about 10~15 million residents. So, keep up what you’re doing, I’ll get there eventually. For the rest of you, there’s nothing here for you, boat’s full.
Welcome to California, now go home.

    Comptroller for the State of Texas;

“The absence of the estimated 1.4 million undocumented immigrants in Texas in fiscal 2005 would have been a loss to our gross state product of $17.7 billion. Undocumented immigrants produced $1.58 billion in state revenues, which exceeded the $1.16 billion in state services they received.”

Undocumented immigrants did NOT write the $600 TRILLION in “derivatives” contracts that now threaten the global economy. In fact, I would venture to guess that these “derivatives” contracts were overwhelming written by white ppl on Wall St.

The $23.7 dollars US taxpayers are on the hook for in “bail outs” went to banks, not Hispanic immigrants.

    http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=aY0tX8UysIaM

Thus, the blatant scapegoating by the racist right REALLY gets under my skin!

  9. Michael Kraft on October 9th, 2009 5:29 pm

What does bank bailouts have to do with california being broke?

And Im against Irish illegals too.

Illegals are not a race, they are criminals.

Save your racism card, and defend the 5 million fence jumpers spitting out babies in california with the taxpayer funded healthcare system.

    AND

    You must be slow learning.

:”"”The absence of the estimated 1.4 million undocumented immigrants in Texas in fiscal 2005 would have been a loss to our gross state product of $17.7 billion”"

If they dissappeared yes, but if you put americans in their jobs the money would not be lost.

So that “fact” is a lie.

Anyone who thinks illegals help this country more than they LEECH IT, is really dillusional. A 5th grader knows the truth there.

I had my baby in downtown charlotte hospital.
I was the only white man in the waiting room, there were exactly.

ME, 2 black people, and 21 hispanics.

And since My family is hispanic, wife and kids….I can tell you the room was 50+% illegals still in cowboy hats and boots.

    Thats reality ALICE in wonderland.

  10. Michael Kraft on October 9th, 2009 5:31 pm

And that 1.4 million illegals, all mailed half their money across the border.

That would not have been lost if those jobs had RIGHTFUL americans working them.

Money from illegals in the US is the 2ND LARGEST SOURCE OF INCOME IN MEXICO, behind only oil profits.

    Thats a fact..

That money could all stay here, tens of billions every year mailed right out of the economy.

  11. Bobby on October 9th, 2009 5:33 pm

Dennis, please, it isn’t Mexico’s fault. As one of the most corrupt nations in the world, Mexico is what it is, and always has been. It isn’t going to change. Some of the founding fathers actually stated that involvement with Mexico, would be the ruin of the new nation. Check! See it happening. You can’t be involved with a corrupt, worthless nation like Mexico and not have it affect the U.S., just as you can’t be involved with people who are corrupt and worthless and not have it affect you. There is no difference between nations and individuals. Individuals make up nations. Don’t they?

  12. Bobby on October 9th, 2009 5:52 pm

By the way Dennis, Mayor Bloomberg of the great city of New York would also disagree with you. He said that if the illegal aliens are deported from New York, ” who would take care of the golf courses?” Yes, that’s what he said. The greens would turn brown, if illegal aliens were deported. Mayor Bloomberg is an intelligent man and a billionaire. But it is oh so evident HOW UTTERLY STUPID HE CONSIDRES NEW YORKERS AND AMERICANS IN GENERAL. Isn’t it??

  13. Human Being on October 9th, 2009 5:57 pm

    @ Michael Kraft;

Do you understand the difference between civil and criminal violations of law?

“While an illegal alien is subject to deportation, that person’s ongoing presence in the United States in and of itself is not a crime, unless that person had been previously deported and regained illegal entry into this country.”

    http://www.kscourts.org/Cases-and-Opinions/opinions/ctapp/2007/20070817/96613.htm

    Former US Attorney for the southern district of New York, Rudy Giuliani;

“So believe me, I know this. In fact, when you throw an immigrant out of the country, it’s not a criminal proceeding. It’s a civil proceeding.”

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDo-ZVK4dc0&eurl

    Former U.S. Attorney Christopher Christie Serving the District of New Jersey;

“Being in this country without proper documentation is not a crime,” Christie told more than 60 residents and town officials. “The whole phrase of ‘illegal immigrant’ connotes that the person, by just being here, is committing a crime.”

Being undocumented may be a civil wrong, but it’s not a criminal act, Christie said.

“Don’t let people make you believe that that’s a crime that the U.S. Attorney’s Office should be doing something about,” he added of entering the country illegally. “It is not.”

Human Being, it doesn’t matter a hairs width who wrote the trillions in derivatives, why people have to press 2 for spanish, or whether it’s going to rain next week. Millions of foreign nationals are in this nation, and they have not been given permission under existing U.S. Immigration laws to be here. End of story.

  15. Ken on October 9th, 2009 11:44 pm

Soon all of America will be like California. Illegals get food stamps, cash, free phone with roll over minutes, health care. I don’t want to hear they pay taxes like the rest of us, no way can they pay enough to cover all they receive in social resources. The Mexican Government should be ashamed.

  16. Obbop on October 10th, 2009 1:06 pm

The USA elite class WANTS millions of illegals since their presence assists the elite’s class war.

    Divide and conquer!!!

Keep the masses bickering amongst themselves and divert their attention from a harder-to-perceive greater threat of an elite class garnering evermore wealth and power while steadily shoving more Americans into a 2nd-world life-style.

Note the invaders and their backwards culture. Note the countries and governments of the countries that the invader’s culture created. Typically 2nd-world or less cesspools with an entrenched powerful extremely wealthy elite class at the top.

Our elites note those other elites and rub their greedy hands.

Observe how at least a small percentage of USA citizens who shed at least part of their brainwashing and cared enough to noticed that we ARE in the throes of class warfare are trying to alert others of what is going on so as to muster the citizenry to fight back.

Then notice how the invading horde that seldom assimilate are clan-oriented and ignore higher-level politics.

Our USA elites WANT those types of people living in the USA!!!!

Spitting out babies endlessly the invaders are the majority in some areas already and will eventually become a majority within the USA.

America’s working-poor citizens are especially harmed by the millions of invaders who drive down wages and cause rents to rise.

Those renting houses tend to be local elites with local power and they want high rents. Thus, at the federal level, the state and local levels, the BIG and little elites and the elites in-between profit from the invasion.

After decades of observing real life, often immersed within the invading barbaric horde and, at times, a minority by being an Anglo and a minority by being a USA citizen along with much reading and self-research I am convinced the USA is in the throes of class war.

    I felt so good when my often-disagreed-with opinion was backed by one who many elites worship for one reason… he can amass immense wealth;

“There’s class warfare, all right,” Mr. Buffett said, “but it’s my class, the rich class, that’s making war, and we’re winning.”

Warren Buffet the billionaire, virtually worshiped by so many for one ability, to make money.

Note, though, that it is the efforts of others actually performing tasks that create the wealth.

Remove the workers and there is NO wealth to skim off and amass in the hands of the few.

America’s elite class is our ultimate enemy.

Until we force the elites to commence doing what must be done to securely seal the border and oust the MILLIONS of illegals the invasion will continue, unrelenting, until the invaders and their culture are the majority and the ruling elite class has forced the majority of citizens into a 2nd-world or lower life-style.

    It is war. Class war.

And, We, the People, are losing.

  17. Michael Kraft on October 10th, 2009 1:17 pm

“On Sunday, April 19, 2009, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary JANET NAPOLITANO went on CNN’s “State of the Union” and proclaimed that crossing the border is not a crime.”

I think you should look at this and be as disgusted as every other person with common sense.

That our ultra liberal president put a person in charge of our borders that would say this is sad and disgusting.

This is the only link anyone needs. It doesnt require your liberal interpretation.

Our own federal government and the multitude of large powerful bureaucracies created by that government of, for and by an elite class, corporate America and wealthy, powerful special-interest groups is the greatest threat to our freedoms and, next to Mexico, is our greatest most fearsome enemy.

“There’s class warfare, all right,” Mr. (Warren) Buffett said, “but it’s my class, the rich class, that’s making war, and we’re winning.”

I doubt that we will ever stop the invasion as long as the present government-type resides at the federal level.

I believe the elites and their government want the invasion since it is part of their divide and conquer tactics.

Sadly, I believe that We, the People are doomed.

For many reasons voting at the federal level is a farce.

The masses of citizens are too-well indoctrinated / brainwashed to stand up to what they have been trained to believe is a legitimate government with the best interests of the people and the country as a whole prompting that government’s actions.

As it stands, I believe that only a full-fledged military coup can alter the federal government to any meaningful extent.

Since that is likely an incredibly remote possibility…..

The Founder’s Great Experiment is doomed.

An oligarchy similar to Mexico’s is our likely future.

A 2nd-world life-style will eventually be the fate for the majority of America’s masses.

And La Raza, due to the unceasing invasion, their very high birth-rate and loyalty to their ethnicity and Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, etc. will propel large portions of the USA into little Mexicos and other bastions of foreign countries.

And every American that wants to support the USA, the culture that create the USA and other aspects of the USA that made the USA a desired place to live will be labeled racist, xenophobic, a hater of “brown people” and other knee-jerk rhetoric spewed by the politically correct mob.

Perhaps the USA deserves to fall.

Mexico is taking back California without firing a shot. You have to admire the irony.

And I truly think that California’s, and America’s, current economic woes are chiefly attributable to corporate American greed and corruption, instead of solely the Mexicans. The failing American car companies are an adequate analog of the present American economic bearing. Can’t keep up with the Japs? Tough crap – scapegoating a bunch of Mexicans isn’t going to solve the problem. It is apparent to me that those who subscribe to this one-sided notion are simply using this as their golden ticket to direct their supressed bigotry.

If I were you, I’d make an attempt to learn Spanish. Not too far off in the future, you’re going to find yourselves as the minority.
