I read the AP story about the “climate change” bill the liberals in congress are pushing forward. The liberal agenda can be read between the lines in almost all of the liberal media.

Take a look at this sample AP story and see how the use of slanted writing is subtle but present in the liberal AP media. Every story in every paper these days may as well be a Democrat campaign ad.

Lets decode and read between the “between the lines”.

“Senate Democrats advance climate bill without GOP
By DINA CAPPIELLO
Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON (AP) — Ignoring a Republican boycott, Senate Democrats pushed a precedent-setting climate bill through a key committee Thursday.

“a precedent-setting climate bil? To call this a climate bill is enough of a joke, but to use precedent setting is even worse. This bill is to tax businesses in hopes that it forces them to cut pollution or more likely just to pay the money to the liberal government for all the carbon they create. It is taxing to change behavior, a liberal idea like smoking bans, seatbelt laws and taxing kool-aid and soda (coming soon). None of that is for the climate, its all for money and taxes.”

Rep. Barbara Boxer, chairman of the Senate Environment & Public Works Committee, had delayed the crucial vote for days because of a Republican protest over whether the cost of the legislation had been fully examined.

But the California Democrat moved quickly to pass the bill, which for the first time would set mandatory limits on heat-trapping gases, without any of the seven GOP senators on the panel present. The measure cleared the panel on a 11-1 vote.

“had delayed the crucial vote for days?” Why is days a long delay for this? why is it “Crucial”? Like the bailout we needed immediately? And still hasn’t even been spent? Will the seas be rising by the end of November?

Boxer said the Republican demand for more analysis was “duplicative and waste of taxpayer dollars.”

AP doesnt bother with a counterpoint here, her insult of the Republican members is all that is included. There are 7 members that boycotted the meeting that all would have liked to include a quote here, not too hard to find them.

“Advancing the bill is a necessary step on the road to garnering the 60 votes we need,” said Boxer, who introduced the bill along with Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass. in late September. “We are pleased that despite the Republican boycott, we have had the will to move this bill forward.”

“we have had the will” – Now thats funny. It is so brave of them to have “the will” to move this, the largest tax in human history, forward….”The will”…..the egos on the left.

Of the 11 Democrats present at the vote, only one – Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont. – voted against the legislation, saying that concerns he had with the bill were not fully addressed. The “yes” vote of Sen. Tom Carper, D-Del., was added after the vote.

Baucus specifically cited the bill’s call for a 20 percent reduction in greenhouse gases by 2020. He said he would like to see that target lowered to 17 percent, with a trigger to raise it to 20 percent if other countries adopted similar measures.

“I am going work to get climate legislation that can get 60 votes through the U.S. Senate and signed into law,” Baucus said.

To move the bill out of committee without Republicans present meant the Democrats could not amend the legislation, and many Democrats on the panel expressed disappointment that they did not have a chance to improve the bill.

“disappointment that they did not have a chance to improve the bill” Now thats funny. Amendments are generally when the real special interest addons get included. ‘”They did not have a chance to improve”, the writer could say this in a nuetral way like “they did not have a chance to change or add to”, but chooses the word “improve” like the intentions of this huge tax bill is a positive one.

“The failure of the Republicans to participate means we cannot offer amendments. This is a very good start, but as the chair has acknowledged it is a start and only a start,” said Sen. Arlen Specter, D-Pa. “It is regrettable that we could not move forward in a more constructive way.”

“failure of the Republicans to participate”
“It is regrettable that we could not move forward in a more constructive way.”?

Like the stimulus? the bailouts? healthcare? Everything the left is doing is without any constructive process and with no bipartisan support. It hasn’t stopped them before and it didn’t again.

Specter said that the vote would send a signal to other countries in advance of a climate change conference next month to hammer out a new international treaty.

“It is not the best signal, but it is a signal that the Senate is ready to move forward,” he said.”

“send a signal to other countries” Democrats really are morons and those who believe them are morons following morons. If China or India do anything at all even similar to taxing their own people for global warming, I will vote for Obama and eat my hat.

The rest of the world laughs at america and the hysteria about global warming, they love to watch us self destruct at the hands of liberal/socialist idiots who are steering this car off a cliff.
