Tony Asion Selling The Lie
Well, I occasionally get to check up on Tony Asion of El Pueblo because as he probally noticed our article on him ranks at the top of google.com. So when Tony is checking on his fame in english he sees us laughing at his sad attempts to paint all Americans as racists.
I dont blame him completely, since Jesse Jackson and Rev. Jeramiah Wright also make a very comfortable living calling people racists. Turns out, being a race baiter is a very profitable business.
So when I noticed his “question and answer” article was also getting some reads I had to take a close look at it. The article is of course just a fluff piece where Mr. Asion answers question he might as well have asked himself.
Lets take a look at the hard working Tony Asion as he puts illegal immigrants ahead of Americans for a paycheck.
This article is from here, with our comments and “real questions” added.
Anytime Mr. Asion wants to answer real questions like why Americans are unemployed and illegals have jobs? Why Illegals get in state tuition, college grants and WIC while paying no taxes? Or why Illegal drunk drivers have killed more americans than the entire gulf war?…well be waiting by our email box for those Q&A responses. In the meantime, write a letter to these people’s families.
“Earlier this month, Tony Asion took the reins of El Pueblo, North Carolina’s largest Latino advocacy organization. Founded in 1995, El Pueblo has pushed for controversial reform to benefit the state’s ever-increasing Hispanic community, most recently in-state tuition for undocumented immigrants and federal immigration legislation. Asion, who retired from the Delaware State Police, worked with the organization for five years before taking over as executive director. He spoke to the Independent about his plans.
“recently in-state tuition for undocumented immigrants”
His bragging point is that he got illegals in this country tax payer funded college educations. Educating workers that can’t legally work, and doing it at a tax payer funded discount. Everytime an American can’t get into a class here at CPCC in Charlotte because the class is filled up, how many of thoseseats are stolen by illegal immigrants in this country? I KNOW for a fact that the Pre-K program in Charlotte public school is paid for by Stimulus money and the program is intentionally giving open seats to illegals before American kids.
I’ll repeat that: Your stimulus money in our schools is intentionally admitting children who speak only spanish before legal US citizens. Many families I know where told the program is full and has no space for their kids. My child’s teacher told me herself, and when I signed her up the entire signup office was covered in spanish posters here in Charlotte.
Nice job Tony Asion! Americans will pay for a program that we get denied entry so illegals can have the seats in our public schools.
What do you think are the most important issues facing Latinos in North Carolina?
….We want a lot of the same things everybody else wants. We don’t want drunk drivers that are Latinos on the road. We don’t want gang bangers. We don’t want criminals. Do we have criminals and drunk drivers? Of course we do. So does everybody else. But that’s not who we are.
Refer to our other article for this response. Tony, you left out that illegal immigrants and latinos in North Carolina have three times higher drunk driving rates. Triple the rate of the rest of the states legal population. Normally that would mean much higher insurance rates, but the uninsured drivers make up 70% of all illegals on the road as well.
How do you begin to change those perceptions?
We would like to start a public media campaign to be able to do this. We are going to have to do some battling. There are anti-Latino or anti-immigrant groups out there that are going to fight us through the whole process.
Anti-latino? Anti-immigrant? name me one group that fits that.
Its called anti-Illegal immigrant. You can pretend the Mexican jumping the wall in the desert and working in an American factory is an immigrant, but hes not. You talk about slander, then you call everyone a racist who believes in immigration laws. The US has the most liberal immigration laws in the world and accepts more real, legal immigrants annually than any other nation.
….
Given your experience in law enforcement, what do you think about more and more local law enforcement agencies handling immigration cases?
That’s a scary thought, and that’s one of the things I hope I get police departments to see. Having been in law enforcement, I understand what motivates police departments to do things—one of them being money. All police departments throughout the country are strapped for cash, and when the federal government waves money and says, “Do this, and I’ll give you money,” they jump at it, sometimes not giving it a lot of thought.
Tony? the police are only going to enforce laws to get money? Did you just call police officers and departments racist or corrupt? I can’t figure which that was.
They get paid to enforce all laws, that includes traffic stops, bank robberies, drug trafficking and yes illegal immigrants working in US jobs.
Convenient that you think it’s scary to enforce the one law that affects “your people”. Seems like a pretty racist concept that the law shouldn’t waste time with a crime that is 80% latino in nature in your opinion.
What are the challenges in working with a community that’s largely underground?
They get to a point where they go to work, they go home and they don’t go out. If we have a meeting or something, and we invite them to come in, even at that, they’re scared because they don’t know who will be there.
That’s the nature of being a criminal, you commit your crime of stealing an American job while 12,000,000 americans are unemployed, then you go home and hide. Thats why criminals have hideouts. Thanks for making our point more valid.
Are you ready for all the hate mail you’re going to receive?
I already get hate mail. The first piece of hate mail I got, I wrote back and said, “Thank you. You’re my first.” Depending on what kind of hate mail it is, I respond to them. If you want to understand me, listen to me, and I will listen to you. If you want to criticize me, I won’t listen to you. I ask people to be open-minded enough to see both sides.”
Ill bet you 10 pesos you’re listening to this sentence.
Open minded people who see both sides? Like these guys Tony?

The fact is that Americans want laws to be both enforced and respected. Illegals flooding our school, bankrupting our states and hospitals is not respect. The truth is that not a single American should have to wait in the emergency room while 15 illegals flood the waiting area. The job of the US government is to represent Americans, and not to give handouts to those that steal it from our country.
If a guest comes through my front door I offer them a drink, if they sneak through my window and open my fridge that person is not a guest.
So for illegals to be in the streets damanding citizenship from Americans in return for nothing that too not only disrespects the laws all other Americans follow but also spits in the face of any citizen that feels being American has value and is a source of pride.
ADDED NOTE: My Grandparents are real immigrants with Ellis Island records that real immigrants have. My wife and children are REAL Hispanic Americans. She immigrated here legally from a spanish speaking nation. Her entire family also came here 7 years ago legally and with my help.
Her parents now can’t find work because of the large illegal immigrant population in Charlotte drying up the pool of jobs for spanish speakers.
Of course that doesn’t ineterest you because legal honest Hispanic Americans like my family don’t have any need for an liberal activist.
