Negro Dialect?

Well Harry Reid has outdone himself yet again. After proclaiming this “war is lost”, conceding defeat while marines are in the field fighting in 2006, he has now done himself one better.

Harry Reid used his double standard status as a Democrat and will get away unharmed from his ignorant comments.

Don Imus said a baskeball team looked like nappy-headed hoes and he was attacked by Al Sharpton and forced to resign from a comedy radio show.

But, Don Imus isn’t the guy who passes welfare programs and health care, so he doesn’t get the Al Sharpton “get out of jail free card”. Harry Reid is a tax-payer paid government official, but also a Democrat, so he gets a free ride on the low morals express.

In the same fashion that Bill Clinton got a free pass when he said “”A few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee.” referring to obama as his personal “house boy” apparently. But again, Clinton is a Democrat so he is also receiving the “race baiters free pass” from leeches like Sharpton.

The one story that isn’t getting any play is that just one year ago it was Reid that was trying to block Roland Burris from being appointed to the vacant Obama senate seat. Burris is the only black senator and Reid promised to block his appointment.

Guess there is no “Rooney Rule” in the mind of Democrats like Reid?

“Those who support Reid’s decision to try and block this appointment say that Blagojevich cynically picked a black man to make it much harder, and more controversial, ………..Reid offered three other possibilities for the vacant Senate seat, none of which are black. ……
Despite these accusations against Reid, he continues to promise that Burris will not be approved by the Senate. Reid even said that the Constitution provides the legal authority to block the appointment”

Whole story is here.

I guess Roland Burris is too dark skinned or uses a negro-dialect? Maybe this is the problem Harry Reid had with him becoming a peer?

Lets hope Harry Reid doesn’t make him sit in the back of the senate bus, or for that matter fetch his coffee while on the way to the cotton fields.

AP: “Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid has apologised to Barack Obama for pre-election comments describing the president as a “light skinned” African-American “with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one”.

Mr Reid made the comments in private during the long 2008 campaign when discussing why Mr Obama should seek, and could win, the presidency.

Mr Obama quickly accepted the apology, saying: “As far as I am concerned, the book is closed.”

Mr Reid’s comments appeared in a new book about that election, which elevated Mr Obama from first-term Illinois senator to America’s first black president.

After excerpts from the book appeared on the website of The Atlantic, Mr Reid released a statement expressing regret for “using such a poor choice of words”.

He said: “I sincerely apologise for offending any and all Americans, especially African-Americans for my improper comments.”
