Ron Paul 99% right?

Ok so, full disclosure, I like Ron Paul, I like hands off government.
Im not a web staffer with a fake name, I am me, and one of the things I respect most is that he is him as well.
Even the harshest critics, of many, have to grant Dr. Paul perfect consistent record all his life.
He is the model of standing his ground and not bending in his initial beliefs from the day he entered politics.
When people run down “conservatism grades” and I hear people saying Romney, Newt and Bauchman and comparing them in the light of who is a consistent conservative I cringe.
I cringe solely because of the omission of Dr. Paul from this equation and argument when the conversation is about finding someone who draws a hard line and votes it everytime.
They may just write him off as Lbertarian, so he is not a model for use of a different adjective?.. but do they two not cross paths 99% of the time when the original concept of conservative is applied?
As long as we are not using the “McCain conservative formula” then Ron Paul scores about 99% on the test. The problem Ron Paul seems to be having when being judged as a conservative is that he is the same as he ever was and the GOP went and changed the definition when he wasn’t looking.
Today Mark Levin is ripping into Ron Paul for his views on the middle east. He had stated Paul’s views are like sending a xmas card to Iran and trying ta ask them to please be friends. Now we all agree, you cant train animals without a stern hand, and yes those in charge in places like Iran are just this.
I think this view unfair, as I see DR. Paul’s view to be more one of, take care of our own. His is not a weak position, his is a non intervention position. The person who stands back, watches and listens is a sign of strength, not of running.
The media seems consistent in it’s desire to say Paul’s Middle East views are some sort of disqualifying factor.
I suppose they need an excuse to write him off this election, what was last election? hes racist or something?
But if we can give a Nobel Peace Prize to a Democrat who sent 30,000 men to war, and filtered guns to Mexican drug cartels, I think Paul’s approach would win him 4 of the worthless things…(assuming he’s willing to become a democrat to qualify for one)
Even if you allow the GOP to have that argument and even if you think he is unwilling to use force and call an emeny an enemy, does that not still make him 99% right? …and 100% consistant in his values and beliefs?
With CNN and MSNBC trying to create the drive by lie of “people are sick of politics as usual”, and just in time for the hope and change bus to pull into town, what is more of change than a politician who hasn’t changed his belief system in 40 years?
