MSNBC:Republican Florida Crackers

By on January 31, 2012

So MSNBC is discussing the Republican Primary in Florida today and the strategy and sentiment of the voters.
The MSNBC interview has the Politico’s Jonathon Martin and how he is fascinated to wait and see how North Florida and the panhandle states or “crackers counties” are going to vote.

The liberal race standard. If you vote democrat you can say whatever you want, but when Rick Perry said the economy is “like a black cloud” over Americans heads, the Talentless Ed Show on MSNBC ran a 5 minute piece of how the word black is meant to be racist against Obama.

So The deep south voters are the “cracker counties” and an economy that hangs over us like a black cloud is a racist statement.

Only way to explain this huge disconnect with common sense, one was a tasteless comment but said by a liberal on MSNBC and about white people, the other was a figure of speech used one million times to describe anything burdensome, but contained the work “black” in it.

This would make Walt Disney racist for making a movie called the Black Cauldron and the Black Hole, and Reverend Wright in good taste when he said kiss my black ass.

Jonathon Martin would be referring to voters in the Gainesville region. Where “Death to racist crackers!” was found graffiti on a bathroom wall, University of Florida, 1969.

Dana Ste. Claire of the Daytona Beach Museum of Arts and Sciences notes in an article that “cracker” has been used for whites the way the N-word is used for African Americans,” Ste.Claire is the curator of history at the museum.

Now liberals whose job it is to defend the one way street of racism in America can say that “cracker” once meant a settler of that region, it originally was a term for the poor white farmers of that area.

Well the same can be said for the word “nigger” or “negger” depending on how far back you go.
The word nigger was not always considered derogatory, but was instead used by many as merely denotative of black skin, as it was in other parts of the English-speaking world. In nineteenth-century literature, there are many uses of the word nigger with no intended negative connotation. Charles Dickens, and Joseph Conrad (who published The Nigger of the ‘Narcissus’ in 1897) used the word without racist intent.

Also, in the United Kingdom and other parts of the English-speaking world, the word was often used to refer to people of Pakistani or Indian descent, or merely to darker-skinned foreigners in general.

So from this, I would say the defense of the historical usage of the word is a weak one at best, since the same can be said about the word “nigger” as the word “cracker”.

A very recent example of this would be the HBO Chris Rock 1 hour special, where he does a long skit on racism and the word “nigger”. Rock proclaims old black men the most racist people. He then describes what an older black man says when the white people leave the room.

“As soon as the white man get out of sight,
he’s like:
”Cracker-ass cracker!..”l’ll put my foot in the crack of your ass,..cracker-ass cracker!…”l wish that cracker would’ve said some shit…to me, saltine-assed, motherfucking cracker!”Cracker, kiss my ass, you fucking cracker!”

So does anyone on the left think the almost all black audience for this show thought he was referring to farmers or settlers?
I love Chris Rock, a super talent for sure. This is fine for him to say in his show because he is black and the double standard is disgusting.

in 2008 John McCain is made to apologize, because someone else (not McCain) said Barack Obama’s middle name “Hussein”. That was in poor taste, but Rock’s cracker-ass-cracker routine had the crowd roaring in laughter.

But I notice no outrage anywhere in the media, when Don Imus lost his job of 20 years because he said “nappy headed” on the radio. The team Imus referred to had black and white players on it.

It was Al Sharpton and the other race baiters of the left demanding his job, but you can describe deep south voters as “crackers” on MSNBC.

And on FOX we have the liberal commentator Juan Williams writing an article all about the secret code words that are racist used by the Republican’s.

Williams writes
“The code words in this game are “entitlement society” — as used by Mitt Romney — and “poor work ethic” and “food stamp president” — as used by Newt Gingrich. References to a lack of respect for the “Founding Fathers” and the “Constitution” also make certain ears perk up by demonizing anyone supposedly threatening core “old-fashioned American values.”

Only in a liberal progressive mind is “founding fathers” and “constitution” a bad word, but deep south cracker voters is completely acceptable and just a part of history.
